S60 2.5T Quote
by 0017tristan on Wed Aug 08 19:04:56 PDT 2007
I was quoted with the following today at a dealership in Austin, TX for a S60 2.5T titanium Gray with Sport Package and Premium package. I love the car, this is my face at this point.... :) First off, the dealer would not budge on offering the $10k in leasing incentives after negotiating the actual sales price. He said he didn't understand what I was saying and that the $10k would only come off the MSRP. He said that the MSRP was non-negotiable with the leasing incentive.....This was my face at this point.... :confuse: Here's what he quoted me: MSRP: 36,645 Sales Price: 26,645 (after leasing incentive) Residual: 38% Rate: .00320 For a 36 month with 12k miles a year, he quoted me $516 a month. In a word....Ridiculous. If you are keeping track.... :) :confuse: :surprise: and now...... When I called him out on the monstrosity of this quote (I can lease an Audi A6 for that amount, which is what I am in now), he just shrugged and said that the "BEST" he could do was throw me in an S60 with just the Premium package for $400 a month but at a 48 month, 12k miles a year lease. Um, WTF? Needless to say, I did not accept and walked out. Side note, he would not provide me with all the information posted above at first. I had to pretty much grind it out of him. I'm appalled at the ineptness of the person. I cannot find a face that truly depicts my thoughts..... The whole experience was dirt. Thanks for all your posts anyhow. I'm going to research some more and find a different car. :P

With the 2006 models out, I figured I could get a good deal on a '05, so I contact the one local dealer (San Antonio, TX) and two in the next closest town (Austin, TX). Below is what they are offering. I personally think that they are still asking too much, but would like your input. 05 V70 2.4 with premium pkg. Dealer A - 29075 Dealer B - 30412 Dealer C - 29965 (Note: A&B are owned by the same folks but in different parts of the metro) With the 4K manufacturer to dealer incentive, I would think they would be lower. I am wrong?

Purchased '04 2.5T (non AWD) Crystal Green with Premium, Touring & Climate pkgs. Also Rainsensor, Backup Warning, 17" wheels & Xenon lights. Got $8K off MSRP in Austin, TX. Paid about $34K + change for MSRP $42K. Incredibly happy with deal and car. Also got 3.9% financing thru Volvo!

I pulled the trigger this weekend on a V70 2.5T with Premium, Sport, and Child Booster Seat Options. We paid $31,000. (33K or so w/tax, title, and license) I couldn't find any info about dealer incentives other than a $1000 rebate available to Volvo Finance customers.

My dealer in Austin Texas is offering $5500 off MSRP on either the V70 or the XC70. I'm afraid to pull the trigger so late in the model year w/out the incentives in place.
