Buying a car from a Volvo Car Dealer
Car_man, Can you please post the Volvo XC90 lease numbers for Feb 2009 and any known incentives? I'm looking at a 2009 3.2 AWD with Climate, Convenience, Versatility, & Premium pkgs. And want to know money factors and residuals on 36 month, & 48 month, 15K/yr mileage leases. Thanks!!!
About a month I bought '07 Sport - Titanium Gray Metallic Climate Tech Convenience 2600 miles (Demo) Sticker of ~$54,500 $45,000 before tax & registration. Traded an S80 w/ $11k allowance. My car may been worth $12k, but it had some cosmetic damage they didn't notice. There may have been some padding in the trade-in value, so I would say the actual price on the XC was $45k to $46k. I searched quite abit (Dallas, TX) and this price was pretty good. It was very difficult to find an '07 Sport (there was $4,000 marketing support plus another $500 if financed through Volvo). They took off $1/mile for demo miles. And then we negotiated some more. I probably could have pushed further on price, but we still had the loan to work through and I got the interest rate I wanted. Hope that helps.
Here's the deal we just struck at Park Place Volvo in Dallas, TX: 2007 2.5T in white, luxury edition, 36 mos, 12k miles/year, x-plan pricing MSRP $37,675 Cap Cost $24,500 residual 40% money factor .00295 Cash due at delivery: $1000 Monthly payments: $400
Here's the stats I was offered yesterday at Volvo of Dallas: V6 with premium, convenience, and versatility (7 seats) MSRP $43,845 cap cost $32,845 ($7000 3rd party creditor incentive, $2000 loyalty incentive, x-plan) residual 45% money factor .0025 admin fee $895 zero down The guy I was dealing with also said he had a "tax credit" he could give me which lowered the tax to $573 (which is significant since in TX you pay tax on the whole car and not just the portion you lease). So I cunched the numbers and that brings me to a monthly payment of $536.53 a month. I'm heading over to Park Place Volvo this afternoon to see if they can do better. What do you all think?
Well, Volvo of Richardson is by far the WROST Volvo dealer I have been to. Took my car in for an oil change, but the write up dude was trying to sell me the 22.5k mile service. I said no. Oil change only please. Guess what. The dude gave me "the look". When the car was returned, it got an extra 17 miles on the odometer . I don't know if they did a road test on my car after the oil change, or the oil change dude took my car out for lunch or to impress his friends. Try Volvo of Dallas. It has much better service. They fix few problems that other dealers couldn't fix. You will be surprised the quality level of different Volvo dealers!
