Re: Finalized Deal [bodid]

As far as I can tell from the paperwork the MSRP is 53,997 and the cost would be 50,762 and from that price the reduced it further by 2,862 for a cap cost of 47,900 then they added the Acquisition cost of 595 and doc fee of 58.45 (the doc fee was taken off the up from money.) This was done in Chicago but registered in Wisconsin so that amounted to a savings of almost 4000 over 24 months because of the Illinois tax situation.
Need Advice

Hello All, I need some advice - I just got back from a volvo dealership in the Chicago burbs (Lisle, IL) and I was shocked by the lease terms they just offered me: 2007 Volvo XC90 Titanium Gray 3.2 V6 AWD MSRP of $47,395 I wanted to pay $550 per month with absolutely no money down on a 48 month lease and I have about $4,500 in negative equity on a 2003 Trailblazer I wanted to roll into the lease payment. After much back and forth, the sales person quoted me $657 per month with $1,500 down as his final price. Can this be right? That seems way too high?? Am I just living in a dream world? Thanks in advance

Thanks for the answer zkaudio. Yes, I traded in a 2001 Acura MDX. I was even (had no equity in it), so the only savings included in the numbers above was less taxes. BTW, I checked my contract, Cap Cost was 34,930. A little off from what I posted earlier. Also, money factor might be .00022, whichever makes more sense.
New XC90 Lease and questions

I just leased a 2007 XC90 FWD with the following options: Premium package Versatility Package Climate Package 18" Wheels MSRP: 43975 Cap Cost: 34250 (Might be wrong...I'll confirm) Residual: 17800 Money factor: .0022 Total initial out of pocket: 1700 48 month/12k miles per year cost: $505 per month Fair deal? Also, I had a question about the headlights. What is the difference between the o and the headlight symbol? They both seem to do the same thing. BTW, I love the XC90. Previous vehicle was an MDX and I think this blows it away.

Fair enough. I have more thoughts, but i'll be quiet as this is not a comparison board. ;)

Ugh. I was meaning to compare the 9-3 to s40. The AWD in the above was a brain hiccup i get for cutting and pasting too much. I meant to say "but no AWD available." You're right the 9-3 is much more luxurious then the 9-2. I wouldn't compare the 9-2 to the 9-3 to s40. My previous look see was in '05. Both cars have changed somewhat. Here's the '06 comparison: 9-3 (210hp2.0L turbo 4) $26,620 s40i (168hp 2.4L i-5) + leather and DSTC $26,345 The saab's just a few bucks more and wins on engine big-time. On the other hand, you can delete leather on the volvo for the arguably superior gore-tex and save significant $$. However, on the high end: s40+awd+t5+dstc+xenons+premium(sunroof)+winter = 33,087 9-3+winter package(rest is standard) = 33,720 The price was much more on the saab last year--in this case the volvo offers AWD, but the saab offers the 258hp turbo v6 vs the 218hp i-5. Depends on what you like. Tough call in either case.
