They lied to me.

I was disappointed when the sales person whom I've dealt with for a number of years lied about the trade in value of my SUV. He didn't know I had obtained a trade in value prior to arriving. He quoted me over $1500 less, insisting he obtained it from a website I had visited several hours before.

Bob, thanks for reviewing our dealership! We are always trying to better ourselves, and customer feedback is very important to us. One of the most difficult issues we face is the car business is trade values. As you stated, depending on which condition you chose, vs. the condition chosen by the appraising manager could vary, as well as options chosen. With all of the available variations on an appraisal site, our valuations can often vary. As a result, we use between 5-6 sources to determine trade values.
