Mike Evans is by far the most charismatic, professional, knowledgeable and most of all understanding Sales Associate that I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I consider him a friend who introduced me in person to my dream SUV. He was not aggressive nor pushy, as some that I've encountered other dealers. He has gone ABOVE and BEYOND my expectations and I look forward to future business.

Excellent Experience

I like how professional and friendly Natalie McKenzie was throughout the whole process. She kept us informed of everything step that was going on. The sales was well stocked and clean. I even like the small features that the janitor took when she folded the tissue into a triangle like the hotels.

One of the best dealers I have ever used

I have bought several cars from Checkered Flag Audi, all of them with the assistance of Lee Canupp, who is a good man and a fine salesman. In every case the negotiations have proceeded smoothly and quickly, and the deals that I got have been outstanding. My latest purchase was of a 2014 Porsche Boxster on 10-2-14, and the deal that I got was truly remarkable.

Recurring Horror Story

I bought a 2012 Audi A7 from Va Beach Audi—which went very well… but the service, that’s a recurring horror story!!! This vehicle is undoubtedly a technical monster, if you will, but you would think that ALL Audi’s technicians were trained and skilled in fixing what ails their fleet; not the case! First off, my night vision went bad – I’ll spare you the details, but it was not/is not functioning correctly and my check engine light is on. The service dept had the vehicle for two days and had claimed that the night vision worked for them and that they didn’t find any validity behind the fault codes, so they reset them. Needless to say, the night vision still doesn’t highlight pedestrians, nor does the warning tone work (Even though said features are turned on in the MMI); Not that big of a deal, because I don’t use it anyway, but it’s the principle behind the matter. I finally conceded on this issue; I’m moving to Raleigh, NC at the end of this year, I’ll let them have a crack at it. As for the check engine light, it resurfaced about 2 minutes after driving out of the dealership, thus I u-turned and went back– where the service rep said we’ll give you another [filthy] loaner vehicle (which is a totally different complaint); at which point, I declined because it was a Friday and I didn’t want my car sitting there over the weekend. So I went home and scheduled another appt (a week out) because they’re always booked—OK, I get that. Fast forward a week later, I get the car back in for a diagnosis (2 days later) and it turns out the foreman finds a worn hose which he states is triggering the check engine light—Great! They then tell me that it’s a quick fix, and I’d receive a call once the part came in, and that it’s safe to drive in the meantime. A week later, I call to check on the status of the part– it’s in, but I didn’t receive a phone call. And to make matters worse, I had to schedule another appt a week out lol – I laugh to keep from strangling someone. So, the cars in for service as we “speak”, but it’s a day later and I still don’t have my car – nor do I have any answers or explanation on why this “quick fix” is taking so long. This only leaves doubt, anger, and frustration. So, I call the dealership to get an answer, and of course all you get is voice mails of “caring” Audi representatives. So in summary, I feel this dealership does not make customer service a priority and that they’re products exceed the knowledge base of their average technician—which shouldn’t be the case w/ any vehicle, let alone one that costs $75K+ As a previous reviewer wrote, the next closest dealership is in Richmond, which is 78 miles away, but I’m starting to think this is a better option than repeatedly submitting myself to the awful customer service and incompetence of the service dept at Va Beach Audi.

The Absolute Worst Service Ever

I purchased a brand new a4 through this dealership I personally had 0 isssues with the sales but the service wow a whole other ballgame!!!!! I took my 10 a4 in for its first service which is about 30-35 mins from my house depending on traffic dropped it off and was given a loaner all seemed well until pick up ! When I arrived was told they did an oil change , tire rotation, courtesy wash and some inspection thing dont know when i left the dealership i noticed that the windshield still had the wiper marks on it and the rest of the car was spotless and i mean no water lines on the windshield indicating there was water even sprayed on the car so i assume they wiped off my car with a rag and never "washed it" as i got down the road further my car started to smell like it was on fire and was shaking found out do to the rotation of tires they werent balanced because i didnt authorize which had i known would have the burning smell was spilled oil on my engine brought car back following monday and was asked "the reason ur bringing the car back is because of an improper was job" well that was it at that point i informed service advisor that the WHOLE service was bad !!! He informed me there is always Raleigh NC or Richmond VA both of which are about 2 hours from my home they knew they had me over a barrel ! I of course went sideways at that point spoke to manager! left dealership after pick up and my car said front left foglight was out but i could see it was on immediatly turned around and went back the advisor informed me it was probably just a fluke turned car on and off and it was fine i asked him if he was sure because i really didnt want to turn back around again he said yea and his techs had left for evening !! got about half way homw and the indicator was back on pulled off of the rd and now foglight was out called dealership and explained how upset i was and the manager informed to bring vehicle back that during the balance my bulb probably was shaken loose and for the inconvience the would fill my tank !! the other advisor eventually lost his job ! so they bring this very sweet young lady in very happy upbeat couldnt wait to have to deal with her long story short i now cant get into this dealership for my 9 problems for 3 weeks and one of which is low oil not her fault but i believe management around there doesnt have their employees best interest they move people around and dont help them my best advise sad to say is dont buy a car from checkered flag audi horrible horrible horrible !!!! You will truly regret it if u do I wish i would have read reviews before doing so thank you for your time Erik M

Avoid

This dealer is only interested in the sale and little else. I am ending up buying the Infiniti G37 because the salesman, DP, was only interested in being my sales concierge, if I bought the car by the end of April. I had a medical and personal family issue that prevented me from completing the sale. I have been trying to reach him and the dealer for 2 weeks with no return calls. If you have questions or aren't willing to just accept the price offered by DP at Checkered flag, he/they have no desire to discuss with you. Just because you have the abilty to purchase the car doesn't mean that you shouldn't make sure you are getting the best deal for your money. I guess being the only Audi dealer in the area allows them to jerk your chain. I would avoid if you feel that your sales experience is going to be reflective of your continued relationship with a dealer.

Totally Inexperienced and Incompetent

Audis are a cpu generated car and if they can't read the printout from the cpu, they have no idea whats wrong with the car!!!!!! Beware, this is the only dealership in the Tidewater area and by far the worst. There are a few true honest Audi techs in Hampton Roads who will pamper your card and find the problem with half the bill. Avoid this dealership at all cost!!!!!
