  • Exceptionaly poor service and missed priced quotes

    Very bad pricing experience. I called and received a quote for an Aux Battery replacement at the house (under $200.00-same price as on the internet). My wife brought the car in to the shop and was told the cost was over or about $300.00. This is the last time I will use MB Alexandria as I have noticed that their service Depatments has gone downhill this past few years. This last incident was the last straw.

    Especially with a sales guy named Troy Sergenton, don't deal with him. He looks down on the vehicle that i plan to trade in and he said "its unfortunately a Hyundai". So? it's 2021, take out all the badges and branded logo, and see who will win in people's eyes?

    I saw their listing for a GLC 2018 for $30,000 - which is a very good price for this car. When I called them to see the vehicle, the salesman (who refused to introduce himself!) laughed at me and told me that I am crazy if I think they will sell me this car for that price. Instead, he demanded $38,000!!!! When I pointed out their own ad in CarGurus, he laughed at me again and hung up. When I drove up there demanding apologies and explanations, the manager refused to apologize and threatened me with police if I don't leave. They know that their cars are waaaay overpriced and waaaaay bad - that's why they make fake listings - to lure you in and to sell you a much more expensive, worse-quality clunker. Do not trust [non-permissible content removed]! Do not buy their cars - you will regret it!

    Their cars are high class but their service is far from it. First Shawn Moore, the salesperson said they had 5 cars of the model I wanted. When we got there we found out... actually there is one in the next town over.. and in New York. Ok.. so let's get the one that's 5 miles away. Sounds good. We started the paper work. Signed all the docs.. I was ready to pay 10,000 cash on the spot.. but wait, someone else was test driving the car I wanted. Even though I signed all the docs for this exact car and gave a deposit check for $1000. He was only "50% sure" I would get it. No problem he said, the one in New York is yours for sure.. I'll call you tomorrow. NO CALL. Instead his sales manager calls and says those cars are gone, I have other ones you can look at. I said what do you mean gone? I gave you a deposit and signed all the papers. Yes ma'am but we have no control over that. Who the hell does then? I told him I want my deposit back because you weren't able to deliver the car I wanted. He said oh.. we have already deposited the check. [violative content deleted] why the hell would you deposit MY MONEY and not even give me a car that YOU PROMISED??? So I said I want my money back , he said no problem. I emailed him the same day to make sure he submits a refund request. That was 2 WEEKS ago! I called, not even the receptionist picked up... called again.. spoke to Andre [violative content deleted] Amini who said we have to wait for the check to clear. What world do you live in? The check cleared overnight! So finally I went in today to demand my money back. Andre lied to my face saying we never even had a conversation.. you never sent me an email.. you don't even have my contact information. So then some other guy comes over that goes by "Mo" and we start talking. I told him you guys are lying to me, the whole thing was based on a lie. You can't treat your customers like this. And he had the nerve to say "you aren't my customer". I am soo pissed. I have NEVER been treated like this from anyone especially someone in customer service. I will file an official complaint against them. They are so unprofessional and rude. STAY FAR FAR AWAY.. THEY ARE SHAMELESS [violative content deleted].. Go to Chantilly, they know how to treat their customers.
    • I wish I had read these comments before purchasing my car from them. I sympotize with you. They lie to you, then try to cover their backsides. They say one thing and do something else. I'm filing a complaint with the Attorney General Office of VA. Something needs to be done!!!

    Do not buy at this dealership. They try to get you to come in and promise to beat your best offer. Make you fill out all the paperwork and after 3 hour of "processing the application" waiting increase the price and say that its the best they can do. I would not recommend anyone to do business with them. I will be writing a letter to MbUSA to complain about them as well.
    • I contacted MBUSA and they are just as bad. They assigned me a case manager whom I left a message for and she has NEVER called me back. Good kuck with that, maybe yoiu'll get better results.

    I would strongly suggest buying against here. I was going to buy an E350 and had offers from other dealerships. They email me to say they would beat the offer. I get to the dealership and after about 3 hrs of negotiating here I am filling out the financing paperwork, ready to take the car home, the sales manager comes in and says the car is going to cost another $500 dollars. This is the first time in my life buying cars where after agreeing to a deal, they go back on what was agreed. I think they are looking to bring people in the dealership - I would strongly suggest avoid them. I would use them to create a bargain, but dont buy.
    • The same exact thing happened to me. I told them no and was about to walk across the street to the BMW dealership and then they changed their attitude. Left a very bad taste in my mouth.

    Well my review is gonna be long, but imformative. My first visit to the dealership was very fustrating, I brought in a 2004 Nissan Titan with 28,000 miles in for a trade in on a 2007 mb c230 sport, after almost 6 hours they offered me $4000 for the truck, the proble was I owed $15,000, no deal!, I called the salesmen 2 days later, I told him lets work a deal with out the truck, he said come in tomorrow. He called me 1 hour prior to my arrival, I asked him is the car sold, he said no, it is still here. After getting to the dealership I found out the car was sold!! I was pissed!! I test drove another 2007 mb c230 sport with less miles, after waiting almost 5 hours(no lie) they asked me for $4,000 down(not a penny less) and an interest rate of 17.8%!! Needless to say I was like [violative content deleted] no!! I was pissed, I had given up on mb of Alexandria until I got a voice mail the next day,"great news I can work a deal on the car you wanted" I called back, the manager stated he wanted $3,000 down at 4.99% interest, need less to say we came to a deal. God only knows how they came up with 17.8% the first time. I bought the car after three visits. It took a while but well worth it. If you plan to go to this dealership be patient!!! They take there time.

    I've been here several times now and each time has been great. The service people are very polite and knowledgable with what they do. Lastly, the waiting area has a great selection of free coffee, bottled water, tv, and even a computer center to make waiting bearable.

    Have been associated w/ Mercedes Benz of Alexandria for several cars and the reason I do come back is the quality of service at all levels. Always feel confident about the final results and that the car is safe for me and my family. Thanks and Kudos!

    I have been going MBA for over 8 years now and have to say my last service experience was the best. The Staff made all the difference made me feel special and cared for. John the service manager follow up and insistence in making sure I was satisfied made it a 5 star experience.

    I took my 2005 Mercedes E class for service there and I was very pleased. They provide you with a free loaner for two days. My car wasn't ready on time and they even picked up the additional days of rental and upgraded to a shiny new Mercedes C250 for just $15 a day. I highly recommend.

    I have been extremely pleased and satisfied with the service that I have received from Mercedes Benz of Alexandria. I have been a customer for over 10 years. Scheduling appointments are quick and easy. When I arrive, I am greeted by name and my paperwork is always ready and in order. My service advisor, Rick Savanh contacts me to let me know the status of my service and if anything else was found that needs to be repaired. He always gives me an honest and complete evaluation of my vehicle. Rick just like all of the employees are always helpful, courteous, and very professional. I highly recommend Mercedes Benz of Alexandria for all of your service and dealership needs.

    Wow, what an experience! John P. and Michael R. did a wonderful job on my CLS550, quoted me right, treated me right, fixed the car and made me feel like I was family! John and Michael need to be promoted in MB of Alexandria to higher positions.

    My battery died late at night and I had to get it towed immediately, as I was off of 395. They performed the service the next day and had my car ready to go by the time I had an 11:00 early lunch meeting. It was awesome, everyone was friendly and knowledgeable, and really seemed to care about getting me out of there in a timely manner. I definitely appreciate the service and the speed.

    Aside from the obvious - work done well, on time and within the quote, what made this service department stand out was the friendly and helpful attitude of every person involved, topto bottom. I very pleasant experience.

    I took my car for my annual maintenance for the second time and as I expected received a speedy and excellent service from knowledgeable professionals. I even received free estimated for some body work that is not included in my annual maintenance. While my car was in service, I was given a free rental car. The staff is very friendly and professional. I highly recommend the service from this dealer.

    AMAZED (In a very good way)!!! I recently purchased a car at MB of Alexandria and had a mechanical issue that was not covered under the warranty. After hearing of my issue the client service manager contacted me to evaluate my issue and asked if there was anything that he could do to assist me. He was very empathetic to my situation and was very diligent in resolving the issue. He follow up almost daily until everything was corrected. He turn a potential unpleasant experience to a positively memorable experience. His assistance alone changed my entire mindset of Mercedes Benz. He took customer service to another level. I only have positive things to say regarding the customer service I received at MB of Alexandria!

    I have taken my E500 to more than 3 dealerships since I purchased it use and all have made me regret buying it, until I found Mercedes of Alexandria. I have never had more professional treatment from a dealership. They listened and have taken care of all my concerns. I even found problems that's other dealership missed. I have recommended this service department to friends and family and have only heard good things. I work in the healthcare field and have also recommended them to my patients. Keep up the great work!!!

    I have purchased several cars from this dealership, the first from Nick Moon and the second from Brian Butler. I also leased one car from Lowell Duckett (he's the sales manager). All three were friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Lowell was the most fun, and I got a great deal from him. I highly recommend this dealership, both for sales and service.

    I was very surprised of the lack of professionalism of the sales team. I love the car that purchased but the experience would make me go to a different dealership in the future. The service department has also been less than desired. I expected a much better experience. Doubt if I would ever go back to this dealership ever again and would certainly warn anyone else that I know to consider another MB dealership. Also found out from another MB dealership that MB of Alexandria has always had a bad reputation. I wish I would have known that before my purchase. These people treat women as second class citizens. Unethical is an understatement.

    I went to the MB of Alex, VA to look at cars on a Saturday in sweats. Not one sales person asked to help me. After work, dressed in a suit, I took my car in for service & decided to go into the sales area; they rushed to help me (I wonder why?). I walked passed all of the sales staff who had refused to help me & spoke to someone else. I should have stuck with my 1st instinct and purchased my car in PA. I traded in my 2002 S-Class for a 2011 E-350. "BIG MISTAKE". I needed a car with all wheel drive. The sales man told me he did his best & I would have to take a $2900 neg equity which basically covers the sales tax. No problem, but now that the 2011 E-350 needs a transmission & I want to trade it in. They offered me $45K on a car which they sold to me for $62K. He has the nerve to think that I dumb enough to take a $16K loss. As far as I'm concerned, they sold me a damaged car & they should remendy the situation to my satisfaction. I will tell anybody "DO NOT PURCHASE a BENZ" at that dealership. I have owned a Benz since 1998 and have never experience this type of service until I dealt with MB in VA. They have left a sour taste in my mouth for MB. I will get rid of the car & see what Lexus ot BMW will do for a customer.
