Bait and Switch

onThere was a good price quoted on a Toyota Camry Hybrid on edmunds.com.
We talked to the salesman he didn't balk at the quoted price.
We test drove the car, liked it, and went back to make the deal.
We were informed by the owner that the car was listed for $6000 more than the quote.
At first, he was willing to go down to only $3000 more than the quoted price, and said he didn't know where the Edmunds price had come from.
We showed him the printout.
He said it was a mistake.
He stood firm, and we walked out.
By the way, the car is still available at the original quoted price on Edmunds, so they aren't too anxious to fix the "mistake."
