Customer Service Worst of my life
Written by yuccashade on 10/31/2015
Contacted Internet service representative to make and appointement to purchase a Grand Maarquis from Young Subaru in Odgen Utah. Drove from Boise ID to Odgen. Met Internet representative. I was turn to a young [non-permissible content removed]who was to be my sales representative. I was not shown his office. I found my nephew sitting in a sales office. The [non-permissible content removed] cam in. I toldl him that I wanted to determine the price of the car before any paper work was completed. He then handed me a Car Fax and left the office. Later, returned with a completed for for me to sign. It was for the list price of the vehice. I said no way.. The name on the form was not the way I wanted to register the vehicle. I wanted the regiistration to show my and my wife initials follower by my last name, e.g. GL OR JL LASTNAME. I negotiated a selling price of 10750. below the 12450.00 list price. Each time the [non-permissible content removed] returned with my desired registration name incorrect. When I objected to the documentation fee charge of $398.00 The title and registratiion fee was almost 500.00 dollars. I told hime that that those fee were usuary. No way would I pay that much for those fees. An argument followed. It was an upsetting experience. The remainder of my experience was clouded be at the end of approxmatley three and half hour. I is difficult for me to remember the events corrctly. I went to the "Sales Managers" office and vehemetely expressed my concerns. A new sales manager showed on the scene. I had to explain to this manager how I wanted the vehicle registerd.. He then returned wit a printed sales form for me to sign. Again the document fees were exorbatan. So he reduced the sales price to $10400.00 to offset the documentation fee. But the Title and Registration fee was still almost $500.00. I am an out of state resident living in Idaho. A contact with DMV Idaho revealed a fee to $116.50. Quite a differecnce. Then this sales manger hit me with a vechicle transfer fee of 80.00. A contact wtih the Utak DMV revealedd that a 96 day Tranfer Permit is only $2.50 He alos show that was an area requirement that "LAZER NUMBER" was etched on the vehicle for $299.00. [non-permissible content removed] Additionaly, I made arrangement with my credit union to transfer money to the dealership to cover fees and the pruchase price. The dealsership refusee to cooperate wtih my credit union. So have have a number of credit cards including one from my credit union. That card was not accepted for the deal because the dealership would not accept a creddit card ofr over $2500.00. Finally, due to the poor customerr service I told the sales manage to stuff it and yhou know where. He wasnted to shake my hand, I refused left the den of thieves. Since I was outy of town I wanted to consumate the deal in miin time and return to home in Boise. But I had to get a room for $110.00 dollars.
