"Is the promo MF of .00075 in writing anywhere on the web that I can reference in my negotiations?" Try this page. It's even a PDF so you can print it. It is for OR though, not CA, although I believe the promotion is the same. http://www.griffithtoyota.com/New_Toyota_Underwood_OR.html Then again on that, there is no mention of the $750 cash back on the Prius.

Re: 2010 RAV4 - How Close to Invoice? [gorgekiter] by evergreen on Sat Oct 31 17:09:10 PDT 2009

gorgekiter....could you please confirm your numbers. Invoice on a 27.1k Rav should be around 25.4k. If you drop that another 500 for the rebate, you should have paid around 24.9k if you bought at invoice. If you only paid 24.4k, that would be 500 under invoice. That is a smoking deal and even better than Fitzmall. I live in Bend and am suprised any dealer in the NW is going that low. I hear that Rogers Toyota in Lewiston, Id., and Magic Toyota up in Edmonds, Wa., are competitive and good to work with but it is nice to hear Vancouver and Tonkin are dealing. I bought a Corolla from Vancouver Toyota 15 years ago and didn't find it a pleasant experience. Maybe they have changed owners.

Re: End of 2009 Rebates? [josiev] by evergreen on Tue Sep 08 19:13:21 PDT 2009

Our dealer in Bend has one 2010 in stock and I see Magic Toyota in Edmonds, Wa., has one 2010 in their inventory. Someone in Seattle probably has some 2010 models. You are just talking to an idiot.

About the radio installation kit. Best Buy here (Bend OR) put a radio in my 4d with no problems. They took kit for Echo, or maybe Scion, and had to do a little modification, but no problem. Anyway, $125 for radio installed beats the dealers price. Bob

Re: RAV4 Limited V6 4x4 Ordered Today (1/22/07) [homerfan] by evergreen on Sat Jan 27 15:10:54 PST 2007

I've been on vacation so just catching up a little here. Congrats, homerfan. You got a very good deal. If you had bought from Fitzmall you could have saved an addition $300 but it wouldn't have been worth it if you live in Utah. You say you didn't really pay $500 over invoice but in dealers lingo you did. You paid $500 over the Toyota invoice which is the only invoice a dealer will talk about. It is true the dealer cost was only $23,337 but the Toyota invoice will include gas, dealer holdback, WFR and advertising and the dealer will have to have a pretty good reason to go below Toyota invoice. Fitzmall is $200 over Toyota invoice and it is exceptional to get better than that. A few have but it is rare. I live in Bend, Oregon, and found that the Costco price in Denver and LA is the same as what you paid, $500 over invoice. In Salem, Oregon, it is $500 under MSRP. Here in Bend it is $1400 under MSRP. I can't really justify going to the east coast so I am probably going to have to pay what you paid. I still have a few places to check in Northern California, Oregon and Washington but I doubt I will do much better. Question: Was your RAV on the lot in Lewiston or was it a special order/dealer swap, etc. Also, if this was a special order, did you order the Towing Receiver Hitch? I don't think I've seen one with that option.
