I am in the same area and bought a 04 HL in August. Tried the edmunds quote request service and submitted direct requests to almost all dealerships in the area including Schaumburg, Libertyville, Naperville, Lombard, Elmhurst & Elgin Toyota plus some others. Received competitive quotes from Elgin, Schaumburg and Elmhurst Toyota (Libertyville wanted me to come in before they would give a price, Lombard promised to get back but never did, never heard anything to this day from Naperville). Did all the negotiations by email and took the best quote to Arlington Toyota as I had done the test drive over there (closest to my place, will get car serviced here) and wanted to give them a chance to meet the price. They matched without any haggling and I ended up buying from them.

Trans: Am in market as well. Get your research together and head to a dealership. I have heard some good reviews about Elmhurst Toyota and Naperville Toyota. There are a few '04s left, too. Am waiting to see if Toyota will better their incentives in November and will likely go with an '05 as well. As for reference, DarCars.com was recommended as a website/dealer to use as comparisons. I have noticed they are giving a decent push on the '05s and will take this in with me in November. Darcars is in the DC/Maryland area. Would not be remiss to go their if a deal can be made. Locally, I have also tried Arlington and Libertyville. Stick to your info. You are the only one looking out for you in the negotiation. c

I am not singling out Central IL as Elmhurst Toyota won't budge. You are right..it's what the market is willing to bear. I decided to wait it out rather than get raked at MSRP...and that's coming from a former Saturn owner...rather than bear an extra profit at my expense. Regarding the 8 seater and package 7, I just confirmed our order today. Yes, you can order le8 with #7...at least via our distribution channel.
Illinois/Chicago Toyota Dealers

I'm looking to trade in a 2002 Lexus RX300 (owned for a year) for a new Sequoia SR5 in Illinois. (Need bigger vehicle due to kids). I live in Glen Ellyn, IL. There are numerous Toyota dealers around where I live (Lombard, Oak Brook, Elmhurst, Naperville, etc.) Does anyone on this board have experience/feedback on any of these dealers? I'm simply looking for a fair trade-in value and a fair price on the 2002 Sequoia and want a quick no hassle dealer experience. Thanks.
