Price Quotes/ Purchase Price for a 2005 LE?
by bernie3 on Thu Jul 22 00:03:11 PDT 2004
Just wondering if anyone has bought a 2005 LE yet? Reports from the south & east in these Camry forums say they've started arriving on the lots. A dealer in Santa Rosa, CA (60 miles north of S.F.) told me they expect them by mid to late August... quoted me an internet price of $18,355 -- automatic, no options. (Basically invoice + destination fee). Decent price but not great IMO. California pioneered the Japanese car market... strange that they're slow in getting the new model. Maybe that's because most(?) of them come from Kentucky or somewhere instead of Japan.
New to forum, need advice on selling and pricing

Hi all, I live near Santa Rosa, CA and I have a loaded '96 4runner SR5 4x4, 5 speed, 139,000 hyw miles in immaculate condition and would like to know the best venue through which to sell it and what opinions there are as to it's value. I'm selling it because I recently bought a '96 limited edition 4runner for $10,800 at Putnam Buick in Burlingame that was in great shape. I keep seeing my '96 SR5's year and model with the same features for $9500 to $11,000 and I'm a bit confused regarding the Kelly Blue Book values vs. Edmunds. KBB has my value for private party at $8,999 and Edmunds has it at $10,400. Why the huge difference? I haven't seen any with my features as low as KBB. My 4runner was keyed a year ago so I paid above the insurance $ and had the entire truck repainted with the new clear coat paint that won't fade. It also has a rare wood dash, new tires, shocks and is practically in like new condition - no scratches or dings. So with all this, what price should I be asking and where is the best place to put an ad? Thanks for the advice.
XLE FWD Opt#14 CarsDirect from Santa Rosa
by martinwd on Mon Jan 12 00:35:23 PST 2004
Just bought an XLE with option#14 through CarsDirect.com. I thoroughly recommend them for a low-stress buying experience. You don't negotiate, and you know that you'll get a decent deal at the very least. I'm in Santa Rosa, CA (North Bay area), and the car was bought from a dealer in Davis (Hanlees), about 70 miles away. They sent a driver to take me there and do all the paperwork, and I drove the car back. No problem! Our cost before taxes was $31535, compared to $33841 MSRP. (also included carpet floor mats). Only complaint so far is the FM reception: the antenna on this car is built into the rear window, and as the manual points out it's far worse than a "mast" style antenna. My '99 GM piece-of-crap has much better FM reception, and this Sienna has the upgrade radio! Damn. I'll have to look at getting one installed.

Hey there, Well, no one told me I couldn't say what I paid or where I bought it from so here's the info! I got my Sienna from Toyota of Palo Alto. They responded to my email request for a quote and said they would beat any price in Northern CA by $100. I took my best quote to them and they did exactly what they said they'd do-- no arguing, no issues!!! They showed me what they had in stock (3 or 4 Siennas) as well as everything that they had coming in (20-30? Siennas). I decided to wait for the exact options and color that I wanted and it arrived on time or maybe a day or two early. After our Sienna arrived they told us that they changed their "Beat any price in Northern CA by $100" to "Beat any price in SF Bay Area by $100" since they didn't expect us to bring in quotes from the Central Valley!! Another great quote we got was from the dealer in Santa Rosa. That was for $600 over cost. I don't know if dealers raise/lower prices on a daily/weekly/monthly basis or as supply/demand rises/falls but hopefully you can still get this deal. My sister's friend took my info to a dealer in the Sacramento area and said she got about $3000 off MSRP for an XLE Limited with AWD. I don't know the exact price. She has to wait another four weeks for it to arrive. Good luck!! Steve
