Leaky transmission gasket

Took my car for brake pad replacement, tech identified a leak. Service rep Hanza promptly searched for needed replacement part, scheduled a new svc date. The car was fixed under warranty.

BMW THE WOODLANDS, FIRST CLASS TEAM!

Upon arriving at BMW of the Woodlands, I was greeted by James, the salesman. He listened attentively to what I was looking for & offered a test drive. I drove 3 different vehicles that day & found the right car at the right price for my needs. After driving these cars, although each was a different model of BMW, I realized that when BMW calls them the ultimate driving machine, that is exactly what they are. Each vehicle has its own characteristics but all drove amazing. The team from start to finish were very friendly & accommodating & I would recommend a visit to them if you’re looking for a great vehicle like a BMW. I have purchased many cars from many dealerships over the years but I have to say that BMW the woodlands is one of the best experiences so far as it was an unpressurized experience.

Horrible car buying experience!!!

I recently purchased a used 2018 BMW X1 with 66,809 miles from BMW of the Woodlands. The CARFAX vehicle history report showed it was well maintained and while the AutoNation 125-Point inspection certificate noted a few items that needed to be repaired I was assured they had all been addressed. Two and a half months and 2,874 miles later while driving the car the transmission stopped working and I had to get the car towed back to BMW of the Woodlands. I was told that the driver front axle came apart and part of the pieces damaged the internals of the transmission, repairing the car (with a used transmission) would cost $21,159.44. Thankfully the car was still within AutoNation’s 90 day limited warranty and the transmission was listed as being covered. I was frustrated but I understand these things happen, I assumed I would get a loaner and I could just wait for the car to get fixed. Well it has been 2.5 weeks and BMW of the Woodlands still does not have any loaners available so I’ve had to make due without a vehicle. The only update I’ve been able to get is that the car is being serviced and they don’t know when it will be done. At this point I’m just contemplating buying another car and selling this one if I ever get it back. This is the worst car buying experience I’ve ever had and is not the type of quality or service I was expecting from BMW.

What is this?

Disappointing at best. My vehicle was serviced on December 7th. Plugs, oil, multi point inspection. As I drove home the emergency call malfunction warning came on. When I returned a few days later and my key was inserted into the mechanism that reads the history it indicated it came on 100 miles after I had left the dealership, not sure why, or how this would happen but raises a possible red flag to me. The other issue was not about my vehicle but integrity with Jimmy. This may seem small but none the less a concern. I went to the restroom, left my clipboard with two groups of papers. As I returned I noticed Jimmy walking off with a empty clipboard that was mine. When I asked he said people often leave things behind. Not sure what this meant as he placed the papers on the near by table. To my way of thinking it would be an opportunity to offer "ultimate customer service." In other words leave the papers on the clipboard and find the owner who obviously had to be in the area. Jimmy lost creditability with me that day as none of it made any sense. The other bigger issue was that Bob Jenkins who I believe is in my corner failed to notice on the history report that we had replaced the battery in November of 2022 for the same issue. It was only after I gave it some thought that I approached Bob that we had dealt with the same problem a little over a year ago. It was then he researched it deeper and confirmed it. The question then became if it was the same issue as a year ago or not and would it be covered by my warranty. I purchased an extended warranty on December 8th. Sadly I was mislead as my BMW warranty was still valid for another 4-5 months .I paid early for something I did not need yet. The last question should have a N.A. as it was warranty work and it is not a yes, or no answer, also not sure what the Edmunds visitor agreement is. Lastly in the past I would receive a video from the technician, do you no longer provide this? Thank you for your time.

Few years ago had a poor experience with the wood lands bmw dealer with my first BMW, however this time my brand new 530 needed a sensor replacement , I was greeted by Jason Roy, the man is a genius , he knows the car inside out, understood my frustration from before , and promised to restore my faith in the brand and the dealer , which he did! Was on top of everything ,update me on my car status daily and as well gave me a decent loaner car while waiting on mine. I got my car on time as promised and was introduced to Caleb their genius guy to explain to me all th features in my car! Thank you Jason for your great work and help and the entire service team at BMW woodlands

i went in for a recall service on my X5 turbo diesel. Hanza handled my service. He was professional , kind and notified me of a great deal on an oil change that I needed. So I went for the oil change special and had my car back the next day. Good experience and a big thanks to Hanza!!

5 stars for Bre only

I did not have a good experience overall but Bre was amazing, and I did not want to penalize her for the rest. I arrived with an appointment. A greeter took my name, then said someone would be with me momentarily. I waited for about 1/2 hour in my car, and began noticing that people who came in after me were being helped, and I still had not been approached. Bre was finishing up with someone else and I flagged her down once she was done. She was kind and apologetic and got me going. After vompletion, Bre came and got me, and I paid. She said my car would be up momentarily. I stepped outside and noticed my car sitting out front. I went back in to inform Bre and she was surprised because no one had brought her my key. So. The great key hunt began. Bre checked the cabinet, no key. She checked every desk, no key. She checked with the other associates, no key. She checked the wash, no key. At this point, I became incredibly frustrated becausr there was an air of nonchalance about my missing key from everyone except Bre. We went and spoke with the manager and he looked bored, like he could not care less. He checked all of the same places, no key. Bre came over and was very apologetic. She also refunded my oil change which was a great gesture. About 45 minutes later, Bre had tracked down the wash attendant who serviced my car. He had my key in his pocket. Again, the 5 stars is for Bre; her kindness, attention, and sense of urgency. Thank you Bre. Still, I will not be back.

Bmw buyers beware

My name is Juan Luis zapata I'll put my name on this because I'm an honest guy my sales advisor Jay Amer Ali really worked with me and is a fantastic guy. He gets 5 stars 20 times over. BUT I really wish the upper management at the dealership would have done something about the valve cover/PCV valve that is whistling on my new used 2016 x4 35ibmw. Found the noise after signing on a high apr. Seems they even fought my salesman on the topic. Service manager Jimmy Franks tried to manipulate my confidence and told me not to let it bother me that it could drive like that but eventually a engine light would come on . then he precceded to try and convince me that if I'm competent enough it's something that I can do myself. After needing a car for so long and after having put a down payment and signed financing for another car that didn't pass inspection because it was full of problems and yes at this same location= it felt really bad being told I was over reacting. I feel that I was put under nasty pressure becausemy necessity of having to have a car really put my back against the wall and I did purchased the vehicle. I was already knee deep with no turning back after 2 previous promised cars I couldn't risk going somewhere else with so many hits to my credit score. upper management at this dealership didn't make me feel good about my purchase. as a customer especially at a dealership with such Prestige, management could have replaced the problematic valve cover considering that its not even that expensive and they do have it in stock.(I checked) and it could be a one day turn around. I did buy the vehicle under alot of pressure from my personal lack of a vehicle. I left with my used bmw car but I feel unsure and unsafe at the moment untill further notice. I would have gave all the stars in the world and would have probably referred everyone I know to the dealership if they would just have helped me out a little bit. BUYERS BEWARE 🙏😔 Hopefully they read this and if I'm helped I will retract my statement with an honest update. I'm an honest client who chose wrong apparently
