Disappointing Experience with Finance Department

onMy recent experience with Lute Riley Honda's finance department was incredibly disappointing. Despite being assured of eligibility for special APR rates and discounts, I encountered numerous issues that left me feeling misled and undervalued as a customer. Prior to visiting the dealership, I was assured that I would be eligible for HONDA Finance Special APR rates listed as follows: 3.9% for 48 months, 4.9% for 60 months, or 5.9% for 72 months. Additionally, I received a comprehensive quote from another DFW Honda dealer that included these rates along with all applicable rebates and discounts. However, upon visiting Lute Riley Honda to finalize the deal on the evening of Friday, April 19th, several issues arose: Despite my requests, I was not provided with a final quote showing my monthly payments prior to my visit. This resulted in discrepancies regarding documentation fees upon arrival. Despite making a $2500 down payment over the phone to secure the deal, upon entering the finance office, I was informed that I could not receive the 3.9% APR rate alongside a $1000 rebate. Instead, I was offered an APR of 7.99%, significantly impacting my monthly payments. Despite my objections, the finance manager insisted on terms that were not previously communicated to me. He also stated that I could not finance less than $11,000, requiring a refund of my down payment. Although he agreed to adjust the amount to $10,515 due to a cashier's check I had already prepared, this adjustment further complicated the situation. When I called the manager, Mr. Ramos, about my bad finance experience, he dismissed my concerns, stating it was too late to make any changes and asked why I hadn't called him before signing. I was surprised by this response, as the finance person, Amin, had informed me that he had consulted with the manager and that the deal was made according to the manager's instructions. A few hours later, I sent an email to both the General Sales Manager (GSM) and General Manager (GM) with all the details listed above, but I received no response until today, May 4, 2024. As a long-term and loyal Honda customer with a credit score of 813, I expected better treatment and transparency throughout the financing process. Unfortunately, my experience fell far short of my expectations. I urge potential customers to exercise caution when dealing with Lute Riley Honda's finance department and to thoroughly review all terms and conditions before finalizing any deals.

onMy experience with sales of this dealership was very good. They have great selection of cars/SUVs with either gasoline or hybrid options now and used. Staff there were friendly. Salesman Ke Chen at the dealership is very knowledgeable and friendly. He gave detailed instructions and demonstrates on the cars of interest to us and made efforts to meet our satisfaction. We were very pleased with him and his service. We are yet to see how the dealer honor their commitments made.

onI wasn’t’t Planning on replacing my car just yet, but another driver pulled in front of me and I wrecked it. I was thinking of a Toyota or a Honda, but Toyota didn’t’t have anything that moved me, so I went to the Lute Riley Honda, an old time Dallas dealer (40 years in business). I ended up dealing with Joe Mustafa, and it was everything one could want in a car buying experience. Joe is smart, engaging, and highly professional. Working with him was a joy. I got just what I’d been thinking of, at a very fair price. I would do business with him again in a heartbeat, and would recommend him and Lute Riley without hesitation. I was also greeted by the sales manager (nice guy) and even the finance director was top notch.

worst dealer

onthis is the worst Honda dealer I ever bought. I bought AC censor temperature honda civic 2010. my mechanic said the new part is not working properly. my previous one is even better. when I called the dealer they don't accept the return if they gave me the broken one. it's ridiculous. just waste time, money and effort dealing with them. putting 1 star is too much. properly zero star is much better.

Worst Dealership Service Ever!

onIf I had a zero star option, I would definitely choose that. The service department at this dealership is running a very dishonest business. I was contacted via email saying there were recalls on my car. I responded to their email to schedule an appointment to take the car in for recalls, oil change and door noise. When I got there I was told there was no recalls on my car and I should go to the Express Service. Went to Express Service and was told the oil change was $73 something. Told the associate that I saw on their website the oil change special was only $64 something. He said he would do that. He did not ask me to sign anything. I later got a text notice saying my car needed almost $2,100 cost of service. I declined everything. I only accepted the oil change with their “revised total estimate of $36.50“ for my oil change. I signed that estimate. When I came in to pay, they wanted $73.65. I showed them the revised estimate, they said “We don’t have any $30 something oil change. You signed the agreement when you pulled your car up. It is $73.” I told him I only signed the $36.50 estimate but I paid the $73.65 just to leave because I did not want to waste my time with dishonest people. I could not believe people could just look at their own estimate in writing and denied it like it was nothing. Reputation means nothing to these people, I guess. I would have accepted if they told me they made a mistake; but just outright denying it saying that they did not quote me for $36.50 total in writing while looking at their own quote on the screen was unbelievable. I have not been to this dealership for years as I moved out of state and just moved back. I will never come back here for any reason. I rather drive to Irving or even Arlington to have services done on my car.

Such a shame

Sold us a lemon and refuse to fix it

onFeb 2020 we purchases a 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan from this location. 3 months after purchasing vehicle Transmission went out. We were without the vehicle for 3o ths waiting for the the maintenance to be completed. 3 weeks after getting vehicle back from Dodge dealership, back side catalytic converter goes out. A month later had to replace radiator, water pump. Now we're in January 2021, the sway bar linkage and controller arms have to be replace. April the other catalytic converter goes out. Now the engine lifters are going out. Call Lute Riley to have them either fix the problem or get us into another vehicle. When speaking with sales person, he states they're in no lemon law in the state of Texas and tells me to choose a better vehicle next time. Needless to say we will never be doing business with this location and would recommend everyone going to a better more competent business. In the 18 months we've had the vehicle we've paid off less then the amount we have paid for repairs and maintenance costs. I will be returning the vehicle to [non-permissible content removed] and will find a better vehicle.
