Monument Chevrolet
by 12/01/2023
onThis is the second vehicle my family has purchased from Austin at Monument Chevrolet and we highly recommend him. Austin is extremely personable, knowledgeable and makes you feel very important. He goes the extra mile to ensure you get the vehicle with the features you want and for the best deal. Austin will go to bat for you, he is not afraid to ask upper management per your requests. My daughter was looking for a vehicle and Austin remembered and called us as soon as he found what she was looking for. Austin remembered what I was looking for and a few months later Monument received one he thought I might like. I loved it and bought it, Monument finance manager worked directly with my credit union to make the process simple. Austin made sure the extra tent I wanted was perfect before I picked up my new vehicle. Again, going the extra mile. My family will always work with Austin and Monument for any future vehicle needs. We highly recommended Austin to a friend and they have purchased from Austin at Monument with the same great service.

Inconvenient and slow
by 04/06/2023
onLast 2 times I was here my car was checked and fixed in less than 2 days. This time it’s been 2 days and the car hasn’t even been checked out. What is the purpose of an appointment. Riding an Uber can get expensive and inconvenient so I had to end up canceling and go elsewhere. So I was basically carless for 2 days for nothing. I am very disappointed because this is not the service I’m used to at Monument Chevrolet.

First time buying a new vehicle
by 04/04/2023
onI had been in the market for a new vehicle for a couple of months and had no luck. I stopped by to see a certain vehicle but it was sold that morning I went in. My fault for not calling ahead. However, I was greeted by Austin who was very kind and helpful. He let me know he would get in contact with me if anything happened to come around. Out of all the dealerships I previously went to Austin was the only who kept in contact with updates. He called me one afternoon letting me know he just had a vehicle come in and I needed to come in and see it. Turns out he found me my perfect vehicle and I could not be happier with this being my first ever experience buying a brand new vehicle!

Bad Experience from established customer
by 02/23/2019
on***This is a bit long but please read*** I’m very disappointed with the aftermath of my purchase and this will be the last car I buy with them. My family has done business with Monument in the past and we all felt the prices were fair and never pressured. Unfortunately, this time around it wasn’t so great. The salesman explained everything that goes into the reconditioning of used cars on their lot as well as how thorough they are at checking them and reassured the car was up to par. I gave the vehicle a test drive as well as a check myself and thought it was good to go. I wish I would have been more sharp when I checked the vehicle because I over looked how terrible the brake pads and rotors were in the rear. A few days after taking the vehicle home (not even a week) I noticed a high pitch squeal when braking and what sounded like metal grinding. After further evaluation, I realized the pads were beyond worn out and grinded deep into the rotors in the rear. I immediately went to my local brake shop (whom I’ve done business with before) and the manager pretty much refused to let me leave due to the major safety hazard of the almost nonexistent brake pads. A part of me wanted to make the lengthy drive back to Pasadena to have Monument look at the rear brakes and rotors but I elected to take the safe route and have the rotors and pads replaced. I informed my salesman of what was going on with the vehicle and told him I’d head back to Monument after repairs were done. I took pictures of the worn parts on the car, kept and boxed the old parts, and brought the invoice/receipt to them. I explained to the manager my situation and told them it would be nice to the repairs covered because I bought the car less than a week ago. I really didn’t push for reimbursement because the main thing for me was safety. I honestly wanted to bring it to their attention that someone didn’t do their job inspecting the car – because if they did, they would have seen the rear brakes were done. After about a week, I was informed that they would not reimburse me. That wasn’t a big issue because I really wanted to bring the poor inspection to their attention but when it was stated that they felt, “I brought in parts from a different vehicle”, that was a slap to the face. For them to even to even consider that and take no responsibility is horrible service and overall disrespect. Obviously their “commitment to customer service” is a joke and once you sign on the dotted line and leave the dealership – they’re done with you. So, I strongly advise anyone considering a used purchase from Monument Chevrolet to do their due diligence and make the vehicle is up to par. I’d also be very weary of their service department too – given how they overlooked such a blatant repair.

Customer Satisfaction seems not to matter to dealership
by 01/16/2017
onJust purchased a vehicle this Saturday - Jan 14 - 2017. Flew in from Amarillo and did a basic test drive. All checked out well. On the way back home I found two issues with the car - busted back speakers and the heater did not work. I informed the dealership and they said "bought as is". The issued was found about 4 hours after I purchased the vehicle and they cannot help? Will try to speak with the manager today (Joe Jensen). I texted the salesperson (who by the way was awesome) and he has informed the manger but the manager stated to him "Bought as is". WOW - what a disappointment! It's funny on how many times we communicated (also instantly) before the purchase, and now that I call, I can't get Mr. Jensen to return or answer my calls. If we cannot resolve, will probably go to the better business bureau and file a complaint.

had to pitch a fit to get service
by 08/03/2014
onI purchased a new 2015 LTZ Tahoe, once I got it home, there were some issues with the vehicle. I contacted my sales guy, and let him know that I was bringing the car in along with some final paperwork, and that the car needed to be repaired and the oil changed at that time. Once I arrived I was told that i would have to wait at the dealership for 4+ hours, and that they could not give me a rental. I was livid as I was used to Infiniti (which I should have stuck to) I finally complained enough and got into a rental, which I was told was unavailable. I was quiet disappointed in the quality of rental I got considering I paid 70k for a new vehicle. Fine at least I didn't have to sit there, however the repair took much longer, and couldn't be completed due to needing to order a part. It had been over 2 weeks and I hadn't heard anything... now my AC on my new vehicle went OUT, so while calling to schedule an appointment to repair yet another problem I inquired about the part for my broken seat. It was in... just sitting there no one had called or anything. This time the rental that I am in made the first piece of crap look like an exotic car. This car stinks to high heaven, I actually have to ride with the windows down to reduce the nausea caused by the smoke odor. The inside of the car is so dirty I feel dirty after riding in it. Ok so it's only 1 day suck it up princess.. well now the dealership called to let me know my car wouldn't be ready... I complained about the rental, and someone was supposed to call me back. They didn't. So I am stuck driving this jalopie all weekend, embarrassed to go anywhere. The car looks like one side of it was spray painted. And HERTZ is charging the warranty over $30 a day for this car! Rip off! Now I have to drive this car to work on Monday and smell like smoke the entire day. I should have listened to the reviews of others before me. Just know that you have been warned. This dealership needs to put their patrons in vehicles closer to what their own vehicle size and quality is, get a new rental company in there or use their own vehicles.

Great Service from Monument Chevrolet and all the staff.
by 04/15/2014
onI couldn't be happier with the service I receivied. From the Service Advisor to the Service Manager and his assistant. All very professional answering all the questions I had. I had a HORRIBLE experience with a previous dealership. I picked up my car and trailered it straight to Monument Chevrolet. Very happy with the professionalism and work performed at Monument Chevrolet.

Watch out for hidden charges
by 03/17/2014
onThe first price that Monument tried to sell me the car that I picked out was at the MSRP, no discount. I asked for the car at the price that Edmunds considers a "fair" price and they agreed. They kept me there for 4 hours and eventually I made it through the paper work and took my vehicle home. Later on, after looking through the stack of paperwork, I counted over $600 worth of excess charges and "extras" that I was never asked about and that I never agreed to. This was in addition to the sales tax and registration/title fees. The biggest items were VIN etching, loan insurance and documentation fee. Those 3 items alone cost me well over $500, actually closer to $600. Yes, I should have paid more attention. After 4 hours there and expecting enough integrity to at least be asked about extras, I missed it. I hope it was worth it for them.

Work not completed
by 12/30/2011
onBody work quality good. After driving car home, next monring car would not start, battery was dead. Shop diagnosed something in electrical system was draining battery. Called and spoke with service manager, he said this problem was not caused by the wreck, although everything worked fine before the wreck. Car is at different shop now.

Great Car -- Great Price!
by 08/02/2011
onI am very happy with my "new" Tahoe. It is a 2009 and looks, feels and drives like a brand new one. It is a "high milage" vehicle -- so I got a really great price offered and then later that night found that the price had been lowered on line that day and they honored the online price -- $2,000.00 less -- WOW!! I am a "low milage" type driver so I expect to have a great car for a long time. Lupe Suarez was my salesman -- he took a great deal of time and was very patient with me, teaching me to use & appreciate all the new features of my new car. It has everything and I love it! Thanks, Lupe!! And Thanks to Monument Chevrolet for having the right car at the right time and price to match my needs! I am a Happy Girl!

Buyer Beware
by 07/20/2010
onNever ever ever go here unless you want to waste a lot of time and get completely taken for an idiot. I was told they could get the exact vehicle I was looking for, they quote me a price online, so I applied for GM Credit, and when I got in they sat me there in an office for what felt like an eternity going watching the salesman click around the computer and go in and out of his office many many times, only to return and tell me he can't get me the car I was quoted. Funny, later that day I actually stumbled across the SAME car (same VIN#), and I called that dealership and YES its still available. I don't even want a GM now.

MONUMENT CHEVROLET
by 07/05/2010
onA very painless, no pressure buying experience. My salesperson Steve Garbs was excellent in his representation of Monument Chevrolet. We did most, if not all correspondance online through email. To take it a step further, Steve Garbs followed every email with a phone call weather it was sent or recieved. Steve took the time to read the comments in the comment section on the dealerships web site. When he emailed back he had an exact match for the truck we wanted and also sent an online quote and the build sheet for said vehicle. The financing was straight foward with no hidden cost. There are dealerships that try to deceive the customer by shoving the purchase papers under you without explaining what your signing. Every itemized line was explained during the financing process. All of Monuments sales are recorded during the sale which in my opinion is a great idea. We would recommend Monument Chevrolet for no bull purchasing experience.

Excellent customer service
by 02/16/2010
onDear Monument Chevrolet, I am writing to bring to your attention an employee that you have working in your service department by the name of Erik. I have been a loyal Monument customer for the past 3 ½ yrs because of him. Although I have an extended warranty co pay that is cheaper at Carmax, I have chosen Monument for the excellent customer service. I know that Erik will always explain in detail what was wrong with my car and do his best to complete it same day. This alone is very unusual considering that females don't usually get the full explaination for repairs. Everyday customer service is not what it used to be, but when I'm at Monument I know that I have Erik who never ceases to exceed my expectations. He is an asset to your company and I hope that I'm not the only one who realizes it. Thank you Erik!
