  • They sold the car we were purchasing with/for our 18-year-old after we had

1 out of 5 starsby brasdu on 08/16/2023

I was in contact with Michelle Montoya with Nissan of McKinney Used Cars Sale, beginning at 12:30pm on Aug-15. We made an appointment for 6pm to test drive a car, arriving about 40min. early. We arrived, test drove the car, negotiated the price, and filled out the credit application (which took seemingly too long to process), only for Geneva (Used Sales Mgr) to return and tell us it took too long because they just sold that car and she was trying to find us another one. Again, I had a very excited 18-year-old that was immediately crushed when they sold this car out from under us. Their explanation was that it was an internet sale, when IN FACT, and in hindsight, the deal was going on right behind us when my son told me another customer was driving the car we were planning to purchase. I told him “Surely they would not do business that way"... but they proved me wrong, just waiting to see who they were going to get the greater sale from. I don't know how these people sleep at night. Avoid this place at all costs. Their business ethics are beyond reprehensible.
    • Hi Brasdu, thank you for taking the time to let us know about your recent experience. We appreciate all reviews, and appreciate you providing us with this feedback.

  • Service at Nissan of McKinney Texas

5 out of 5 starsby JRayCPA on 12/05/2016

Nissan of McKinney does an excellent job of taking care of their customers. Within minutes of my early appointment I was asked whether I needed a transport. I did not and decided to wait on the vehicle. The waiting area is plush so I did not mind waiting. I did not have to wait long because my vehicle was soon ready. My vehicle was cleaned and the staff kept me well informed. Great commitment to customer service.
  • non-refundable

I'm relocating from NYC to McKinney and found a great car online at this dealership. I called and worked with a nice salesperson. I wanted them to hold the car for a week until I arrive and could test drive. The sale manager wanted by downpayment as a deposit and it was non-refundable if I didn't buy a that or another car from from them. I told the sales person his manager was out of his mind. The good news was Mac Haik Nissan in Corinth did hold and even better pre-owned Nissan for $500 and it's refundable. I will be living in McKinney and this dealership will not have my servicing business.
    • Brian, We are very sorry for the experience you had with our salesman regarding the deposit on the vehicle. We would love the chance to earn your business and would like to discuss your experience further. Please give General Manager, David Kelley a call at (469) 919-5544 as soon as possible.

  • Baptism of fire turned bad - poor workmanship

1 out of 5 starsby Biboyuan on 03/24/2016

3/21/16 - Versa 2012 up for 100K maintenance * was there 8am and it took them 4hrs to complete all works * took off and after a few miles of drive around 3pm of that same afternoon, "Check Engine Light" lit off * called Service Advisor and was told to bring it back the next morning for further checking 3/22/16 * was there 8am, they took the car inside for checking and took them 3hrs to complete all works including drivetests * was told that there was an intake hose came loose which could be caused by all the maintenance done the previous day * took off but after like about 17miles drive on my way home, the "Check Engine Light" lit off again * had to turn back * upon arrival the Service Advisor immediately took the car and gave me a loaner car (for all the trouble and time the situation caused me) * Service Advisor called late evening and kept me updated of the progress, alarm has been cleared but they wanted make more testdrives in the morning 3/23/16 * Service Advisor called saying everything's good now and car is ready for pickup * they found out one of the spark plugs was not properly installed causing the "Check Engine Light" to lit off 3/24/16 * was there 8am, alarm was cleared however had to ask them if they could carwash at least due to smudges from previous night's rain * took them at least 30 minutes for the carwash after some followups on the status * so far the alarm has not come back up as of this writing SUMMARY: The Service Advisor was polite, accomodating, and sincere. It's just the poor workmanship of the Service caused all those troubles. I was hoping the car would be ready at least carwashed or at least filled up with gas (after all the testdrives they did). I had to adjust my schedule at work, asked someone else had to pickup kids from school... because of all the troubles caused on those 4 days. Not to mention I live in Prosper about 20miles away from that dealership. Not sure what they can do for me comeback. That was my first time with them by the way.

Nissan of McKinney is by far the most professional dealership I have ever worked with. Since purchasing my Juke from them in 2013 they have consistently taken great care of my car, offered expert service and have treated me with the greatest respect. Thanks, Nissan of McKinney. Great job to you and your team.
  • Truly Exceptional Service

    5 out of 5 starsby jksmith0115 on 10/24/2015

My experience was wonderful at Nissan of McKinney, and my salesman Peter Sayroo was awesome. Was not your typically car salesman. He was knowledgeable about the Rogue, kind, listened to what I wanted and needed, and most of all was not pushy. The shortest time I have ever spent purchasing a car in my lifetime. I was dreading the experience, but ended up having a great time!
    • We are very happy to know that you had a great experience with Peter at Nissan of McKinney! We hope you love your new Rogue! We pride ourselves on a hassle-free, no stress experience. Please come back and see us when your Rogue needs service.

  • 2015 Pathfinder

5 out of 5 starsby Stratoman on 08/24/2015

Nissan of McKinney is really tops in my book. Everyone seems to know what they're doing and that's a big thing with me. No bumps in the road to acquire my new 2015 Pathfinder. This is the place if you need a Nissan vehicle.
  • They only want your Money, not your approval

1 out of 5 starsby aggiepi on 08/05/2015

If there was a no star rating I would use it here. I HAD purchased three cars in a row from them. A 2007 Nissan Altima, a 2011 Nissan Frontier then a 2013 Nissan Altima. The sales group is good and for the most part I always had good experiences with the Service Advisers. Actually even though I will never go there again and never buy another Nissan, the Service Adviser was always honest and good at his job. So over a period of 12-14 months as I was paying thousands of dollars for recommended maintenance on my 2013 Altima, I mentioned two or three times I thought the transmission was slipping and not working correctly. I mentioned this again at about 100k miles before the warranty went out. They kept saying the transmission checked out on the machine. Then 4 thousand miles after the transmission warranty went out the problems got worse. I brought it in again and told them about the transmission problems. I also expressed that if the transmission is bad, they needed to take care of it as I had told them on previous visits it was messed up. The service adviser stated, he was sure Nissan and the dealership would "work something out". It should be noted I put a lot of miles on a vehicle. The 4k miles over the warranty was about 2-3 weeks for me and about 5 months from 95k miles (pre warranty please check my transmission again) and when it had its final visit 124k miles. So they finally agreed with me AFTER the warranty was up that the transmission was bad and needed to be replaced (4 thousand miles after the warranty was up). They were going to submit the stuff to Nissan and include my previous visits where I believed the Transmission was going out. I was told they believed Nissan would work with me. After several days I got the news. Nissan would cover all but about 1500 dollars. At this time based on the fact that I had purchased three cars there and spent thousands in the service department over the years, that the dealership would surely pick up the 1500 left over to keep a good customer happy. But NO the dealership was not willing to spend a penny, even though they were the ones who did not find the problem that I told them was there (and was confirmed to be there). I was told by my service adviser that in the meeting after getting approval from Nissan to cover all but 1500 of a 3800 dollar service, he brought up the fact I had bought three cars there in 7 years and spent thousands in the service department. The dealership still decided they would not cover the 1500 left. So I went and picked up my car and traded it in the same day. It is unfortunate that they not only lost a customer for them, but a whole family that will never buy another Nissan.
  • Great Customer Service

5 out of 5 starsby whimiscal on 07/05/2015

The Sales Dept was there to please, make a deal. I've purchased 6 new vehicles at 4 dealerships and I have never had the service I received yesterday. They were all about what the Customer wanted instead of the attitude of what the customer could do for them. I will go back again and again. I need to feel there is integrity and I can't say that is the case at the other dealerships.

  • Manufacture Recall and Lack of Minor Updates

    4 out of 5 starsby todd_r on 03/12/2015

Nissan of McKinney did decide to replace the oil filter for free. They said Nissan did not pay for it, and that it came out of the dealer's cost. Thanks.
    • The dealer did agree to replace the filter for free, but said that Nissan is not paying for it. So, Nissan of McKinney did replace it for free.

  • Customers Mistreated

    1 out of 5 starsby dodgem3 on 02/24/2015

Well let me start with my mother purchased 3 new vehicles from Nissan of McKinney over the past 10 years and was always happy going back to them. good enough reason for me to try them . Wow I was wrong! we settled on a price and financing, all was great till I logged in to make a payment. Four thousand more than we agreed too. I went in the next day to investigate and found they had added on a 4 year warranty that I never agreed to. And when I talked to the manager he said there wasn't anything he could do. WHAT? I've never been treated like that buying a new car. Well they lost two customers and now im going to figure out my next action....

  • Outstanding - highly recommend!

    5 out of 5 starsby joyster110 on 10/08/2014

The entire experience was outstanding! We did our negotiating with Taylor over email and when we went in, it only took 2 hours (including driving the car!) to purchase the vehicle. That is the fastest, smoothest car buying experience I've ever had. They are very responsive to questions, concerns, etc. and do everything they can to make sure you are happy with the deal, the car and the experience!
  • Satisfied New Customer

Our experience at this dealership was all positive, the salesman was professional, polite, and made sure to find the exact car we were looking for and a deal to match. It was a great experience, we even received a tour of the facility. I will be going there again when it is time to trade-in and I would recommend them to friends.
  • The worst dealership in Texas!!!

    1 out of 5 starsby amosh100 on 06/19/2014

Nissan of McKinney maybe the most poorly run and managed dealership in Texas. This dealership runs there business off of deception, lies and attempts to strong arm customers. The sales management team tries to wear customers down by continuously lying keeping you there for hours hopeful you'll just cave into their proposals. They come at you with dozens of offers in an attempt to confuse the buyer swapping cars and offers. If you're in the market for a Nissan I'd strongly recommend you look at one of the other 400 dealers in the US. I ended up having a great experience at another dealership and didn't care it was 45 mins away!
