Do Not Trust Them

After spending hours and hours on the phone with this dealer asking for detailed pictures and descriptions of the car. I'm in the new York area so i can't exactly go there and check out the car unless i know its 100 percent. body looked good undercarriage ok because of some spray paint... so we do a car fax everything checks out. We asked the salesman named Kevin, out of ten what would you rate this car. he replies 9.5 out of 10. awesome we book a flight go down there. 7 hours and 500 dollars later we get there. instantly find marks all over the vehicle that Kevin Claims he "never ever saw". ok fair enough its a used car. take it for a test drive and of course it needs rotors. then we say ok lets check the 4 wheel drive. put in in 4 wheel low and of course revs up real high then bangs into gear. so much for a 9.5 out of ten. then i get visited by the sales manager Randy. Not like he comes over and asked is there anything i can do I'm sorry let me pay for your flight tickets... no he says whats wrong with my truck? i said you have a drivetrain problem. he said i think its just fine. i asked him if he would pay the amount of money he's asking for that truck and he tells me well i don't need a truck I'm not buying it.... So much for standing behind your product. Then to boot they didn't want to give us a ride back to the airport! like we are the bad guys because they are trying to scam us. I will never go back to Herman Jenkins and i don't know why anyone would. they Know nothing about their products and only care about taking your money.

Not happy!

I recently purchased 2015 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sport and I originally gave a color I wanted and they said they would find it. well, they couldn't so I found another color and they got it for us! Two days later, found the exact color I wanted less than 30 miles away that was in stock when they were "looking". The jeep I ended up with leaks. Been at service dept 3 times already. Service guys were awesome and did all they could even calling jeep on last visit and kept two wks gave me a new unit to drive. Got it back and Jeep's assistance to fix the leak was add sticky bandage type substance around frame of door. It looks just like the sticky bandage wrap that you purchase from Walmart but that is what Jeep recommended they do! The owner Lynn advised us if we decided to trade he would make it right and if he had to put money in on it he would. well, I found a two door jeep wrangler I liked and the offer was my jeep with the original sticker price of 32.5 plus leaving the 5k worth of accessories on it for a two door with sticker price of 31.3 and he would give us 1k. Now, my Jeep only had 6000 miles on it but had issues since the first rain and also had two different times when I went to roll down automatic windows and they wouldn't do anything. Lynn was aware of all of these issues and promised he would do us right because he wanted to make sure we were happy and they didn't know what else to do with my Jeep and the leaking issues. Didn't sound like much of a deal to me. So, now I am done dealing with them and moving forward with an attorney and I am very offended that Jeep expected me to accept the terrible patch job they recommended that is already melting off and its not even close to summer here!!! No complaints what so ever with the service dept they were very friendly, called me daily even to say we are still working on it and know nothing new yet. They always gave me a new car to drive and did their very best to resolve the issue. They replaced the seals seven or eight times I think and replaced the drivers side floor mats two or three times. They went above and beyond to make it right and were all so frustrated that they couldn't properly fix it. The service mgr there is outstanding and so nice and helpful. Infact, the first time I took to service dept they did a water test and admitted to seeing the leaking and were honest and said "they did not know what to do or how to fix it because the seals were not bent or broken or any problems with them and they didn't know why it was leaking. Of course, that was not a great answer but at least they were honest. Then we pushed because we cant pay for something with a price tag like this when it leaks, ruined our company documents and was obviously causing electrical issues! we declined their offer to trade and will pursue legally against the Jeep/Chrysler corp as this was not an issue caused by the dealership by any means, but when the owner says he will be more than fair and comes back with that offer.. well, needless to say I was not happy therefore I just quit dealing with them and moving on to find a decent resolution to an unfixable problem! With that being said, the salesmen were great and very helpful. Even the owner Lynn was very pleasant I just expected a lot better offer since he built us up saying he would add money to it he that is what it took to get us into another vehicle and I feel like the offer we were given was offensive to say the least!! The real issue had nothing to do with the dealership and is what I now believe to be a manufacturing issue/defect. But, the crazy offer did not leave me with a positive impression to say the least!

Im 50 years old, Iv bought a lot of new trucks & cars in my life!! They really made me fill at home!! I made them an offer and we made the deal!! They took the time to explain all the new features of the truck !! Its even got a but warmer!! The wife just loves that!! I highly recommend doing buisness with these men!! It was well werth the drive. And I will be back!!
