Gossett Motors VP lies to consumer after purchase

I'm quickly copying what I sent to an Investigative reporter, I'm working on the entire timeline, with dates, names, numbers, figures, etc. for future arbitration purposes. There is a tremendous amount of info since this drama began 5/28/11 and is ongoing. BEWARE of this dealership, esp. the Kia/Mazda store.But these practices can only be allowed to take place from leadership down,so I'd say all of Gossett functions this way. Here's what I sent to the reporter, he's on vacation until Jul 11, Andy Wise on your side - WRC CH 5 - I am Lt Col DC Nicholas, USAF, ret., disabled vet. I chose to Gossett lKia/Mazda to buy , when they called & said they had exactly what I wanted in stock on their lot. I was headed to Gwatmey Mazda, but Gossett seemed closer & on my way to my sister's house in Memphis. I live in Hardy AR, and drove 3 hours, so I could stay with her. I went with Gossett -- since THEY SAID THEY HAD EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED, and were easier to find. Gosset lied about several things: They didn't have the car i wanted, and kept me waiting 4 hours before they ever admitted this. After 6 hours I finally got to test drive the closest they had "available" with a sales rep who knew no answers to my questions, but instead of saying that so she lied and told me this car had the tech package with 6 changher CD, Sirius, GPS, etc, but didn't know how to make them work! even tho there is a Sirius button on the dash, and it says load CDs, has backup camera....none of what she said is true. The car isn't equipped with Sirius, there was no GPS, & was a single CD player. The backup cam works, whch is what she said was also the GPS. They gave me less than 1/2 the resale value of my tradein, (agst Fed Law, I've learned since). I finally agreed to an amount on trade-in$ 4000, NADA lists the tradein at $8000, they actually only gave me $3500 on the contract (no i didn't notice before I signed the contract because by then I had been there at least 8hrs and could barely move). I had done my research, thought I was dealing with professionals as I had in the past. But I had always had someeone with me in the past purchases, and more stamina for sure. My trade-in deal was: Leather seats (the CX-7 I had test drove was cloth), a cargo tray (I left the cargo tray for the Murano in it since it matched and fit, and didn't match or fit the new CX-7) Since they were keeping it and sending me home in a rental, i also said they should "throw in a tinting for the 2 front windows to match the back ones. They said sure, that's fair. I agreed to the MSRP, and the low $4000 amt on tradein on my Nissan Murano based on that allowance on trade-in and the tech package, since it was such a great deal. I was even prepared to offer $$ down w/ the 0% financing they were offering (or would have used my USAA car buying service if I needed financing. I have an excellent credit rating, so didn't need them really. By the time I got to the finance office (about 6 hrs in) the finance officer convinced me I couldn't do what I planned & may as well use their financing. By this time I could no longer think clearly and wanted out of there. Plus, this Mr. Jim Keffer kept asking about my military experiece, being a fellow vet supposedly, I was relieved to relax and do so. Littile did I realize it was just a ploy to divert my attn from what I was signing. SO, I signed the contract 28 May, and they had a courier bring the car to me 6/6. I immediately looked and there was no cargo tray. Of course the courier couldn't answer my questions so I call Gossett Mazda again. This time I finally get VP David Gossett of Gossett motors. He tells me there is nothing he can do, there is nothing about a cargo tray in the contract, and his sales people did nothing wrong or deceitful. And further more "there is nothing he or I can do about any of my issues, claims, concerns, and to deal with it, I;m an adult after all and should know what I'm doing". I didn't even know I didn't have all the other "conveniences" I DIDN"T EVEN WANT (except the sat radio) until I spoke with Mazda USA...and based on my vin number he explained my car doesn't have anything they told me it had. Did I mention my first call to the sales rep who told me I was getting $4000 on trade-in, and all the rest, hung up on me after telling me he was/is a pastor for 15 and doesn't lie. THere are a lot more issues to this whole experience, including several phone conversations that I started making a log of as I'm finding all this out over the course of days. But that is going to take some time to compile. I got all the way up to DAVID GOSSETT of the whole family of Gossett dealerships and he treated me with no respect, no consideration, and dared me to go to the media. NO ONE from Gossett has called MAZDA USA back either, so they couldn't help me. I will fill with BBB and every where else I can think of, but mostly I just don't want this to happen to anyone else. I was shocked. I'm accustomed to people with integrity and honesty, coming from my military background, but even the other Mazda dealership (GWATNEY Mazda, where I had to go pay to have my Sirius radio installed and p/u the Cargo tray Mazda USA paid for. They were supurb and what a dlrship should be like. No surprise at their competitors actions, with careful wording, indicated their disgust. cheers, DC Nicholas PS I was a public affairs officer, so worked with media all the time in the Air Force. Mazda USA said everyone threatens to go to media but rarely do. I'm very familiar with the power of the media, and word of mouth, and intend to use every angle at my disposal, including the law, as i always did the 22 years I served my country. Mazda USA said GO FOR IT! we don't want to provide our vehicles to dealerships based on deceit!
