Bad Business, they will cheat and rip you off.

by Linder74 on 06/28/2019

I bought a used truck from Wallace Nissan in Kingsport TN in June of 2018. I was from out of town and found the truck on their website. When I went to pick up the truck everything seemed fine. But once I got the truck home I found all kinds of rust issues that were hidden underneath. I had the truck only a day or so and I got back in touch with the dealer and told them I wanted a refund and why. They said no and told me they would not refund the money. The truck had sever rust issues. Well just a little while after that I started having engine trouble as well. Two brackets that hold the gas tank in place broke while I was going down the road and the gas tank became unsecured, you have any idea how dangerous that can be? These brackets were rested through and that is why they broke. Then just 7-8 month after buying the truck the engine died while going down the interstate, just died and lost all power, nearly caused me to be in an accident and could have killed me and my son. Again I called the dealership and spoke to Lee Moulse. Lee told me that because I did not pay even more money and buy their warranty they were not going to do anything to help me. I would not be transporting and paying to transport truck back and forth from SC to TN for this kind of service for a warranty that they would BS me on and would so much as pay for a spark plug. I thought these people would care about selling a truck of over 17k and in less than a year it is un usable and off the road due to motor not being able to hold any kind of oil pressure. I have had to replace the entire motor at a cost of 7k to me on top of the purchase. These people put my life, my family life at risk selling a truck that had no business being sold. Truck looks like a flood car they lied about and sold, if not a flood car is was found to be in bad enough shape as to not be sold to the public. These people do not care about you, or your family. They only care about profit and getting you out of the way. Do not trust these people. They are complete crooks and have no shame what so ever. I hope their employees know what a bunch of crooks they work for. This not only caused me emotional distress for being ripped off, cheated and nearly in a high speed accident due to truck losing power and shutting down, they have also caused severe financial hardship in me paying a lot of money for a dependable vehicle that I need to be left without a vehicle and any money I had to get a different vehicle is tied up in this one that Wallace cheated me on. Do not trust this dealership. I have been done so very wrong by them and they do not care and only care about their profit and greed. Do not buy or trust any of the leadership at this dealership, [non-permissible content removed]

Early Auto Malfunctions and Poor Customer Service Result in Dissatisfaction

by fortynfab21 on 09/21/2010

I purchased a used 2004 automobile from Wallace Nissan Mitsubishi. I only drive the car to the store and back. The first time I went out in the car, I had had it less than a week. I drove 1 mile to the grocery store. When I came out of the store, the car was dead. The gentleman that jump started my car decided that it might not be starting, because he thought it was not completely in park. I accepted his theory and returned home. Four days later was the next time I took the car out . After I exited the store, I discovered that my car would not start. Thank goodness, I was next to an Autozone. They tested the alternator and the battery and sent me back to the dealership to have the battery replaced. Fortunately, Wallace did the right thing and replaced the battery free of charge. After all, I hadn't even had the car for thirteen days, and each time I had driven it, it left me stranded. Then, one and a half week later, I once again made my weekly trip to the grocery store. Upon returning home, the engine malfunction light came on. I immediately loaded the children back into the car and headed to the nearest Autozone to have them run a diagnostic. A sensor in the engine had gone out, and once again, Autozone told me to return to the dealership. I now had owned the car for only 27 days. When I arrived at the dealership, Wallace refused to repair the car. I could understand, if it had been several months or a year later... but, 27 days!!! Plus, you have to remember, I had not even been able to operate the car without it having trouble each time. If I had been Wallace, I would have offered to repair the problem to maintain good customer relations and to salvage my reputation. After all, the car should have been thouroughly checked prior to being placed on the lot, and if something was missed, repairs should have been made to correct the problem if the automobile was brought back into the dealership within a reasonable amount of time. I think, most would agree that the first 30 days is what every other retailer considers a reasonable amount of time. And, to add insult to injury, the salesman had the nerve to imply that it was probably something that had occured after leaving the lot...that it was my fault. I doubt very seriously that three trips to the grocery store would result in an engine malfunction that quickly. No, the problem was there prior to purchase, and it was just waiting for the opportunity to be discovered. So, on that note, I want to tell anyone that will listen, please purchase your automobiles elsewhere. As a result of this experience, four individuals who were going to purchase their cars there at my recommendation have decided to go elsewhere. I urge you to do the same!
