Buying a car from a Subaru Car Dealer
A dealer in MN.
Is it CVT or stick? If it's a CVT, that's only $305 under MSRP. If it's a stick... it's OVER MSRP. You should be able to do better than that. The Impreza Premium hatch with 5MT is in my top tier of choices for my next car, and I'm looking at the Focus also. Which Focus are you looking at? My favorite is the SE hatch with the stick and the lowest-priced package with cruise. On the X-Plan plus current incentives ($1500 in my area now) I could get that car for about $17,300. Adding sport package (if you need alloys) would be another $500 or so. If you let the Subaru dealer know you are considering the Focus SE hatch and give them a ballpark price (after doing some shopping), maybe they'll change their tune on their near-list offer. Another hatch to check out is the Mazda3i Touring with Skyactiv. Great fuel economy, a blast to drive (especially with the 6MT), and list is only around $19.7k (MT), and incentives are available. Of course neither the Focus nor Mazda3 have AWD.
I bought a Subaru Forester Premium in St Paul MN last week with AWP plus #2 option/OTD price $26,755.00.I get a feelling I paid too much.Your input is appreciated . Forester5
Hi Car Man, I'm looking to possibly lease a 2011 WRX Limited in MN and was wondering if you have the current money factor and residual value? Would it be unheard of to lease this car for $300/month with $3k cap cost reduction? Thanks, Rasky
Just agreed to a 2011 Subaru Outback 2.5i Limited w/Power Moonroof/Nav in Louisiana. Also had: Weather Floor Mats Alloy Wheel Lock Kit Popular Equipment Group 2A Puddle Lights Rear Bumper Cover Splash Guards Sticker including the PZEV $300 was $33,067. Bought for 30,813. Got 1.9% as well. This was $2,254 below sticker and $200 over the dealer's invoice. Edmund's MSRP was the same as sticker, and Edmund had invoice at $30,613, same as dealer showed. TMV was $30,970. TrueCar had sticker about the same (with PZEV included) and great price at $30,993. I think this was OK at $30,813. The dealer is very close to my work and there are not many dealers near here so it seemed a reasonable deal.
