onWhile out of town, our Jeep Grand Cherokee started running hot. We took it to a friend that owns a service center and he replaced the temperture gage. After that the Jeep shut off and would not crank back up. After attempting a diagnosis on the computer (which locked him out), he suggested for us to take it to the dealer for a diagnosis. The service center towed our vehicle for free to Benson. They said it would be morning before they could get to it and it would cost between 40 and 85 to diagnose it. At 7:30 the next morning they called saying they needed an allowance of 250 to do an indepth diagnosis. We allowed it, we called every hour because we were scheduled to go home that day, and they said they're working on it. Around 3:45pm Benson calls saying they haven't found the problem yet and need more money, we decline any further diagnosing. When we got there we were informed the had worked for 3 hrs to find the problem, however on the phone we were told they had been working on it all day. In the car there was devices hanging by the wires, the dash was removed, the gear shifter plate was off the doors covers were removed, ect. We argued the amount and had to pay and was informed it would be double to put it back together. Meanwhile the service center had researched the problem, after we towed it back they fixed it while we called and complained about the condition our jeep was in. After we got it running we discovered the power windows did not work. A manager from Benson finally called back asking us to come back and they would return it to the state it was in when recieved. They did but would not fix the broken wire for the power windows.
