Finance Manager Corey Sullivan [non-permissible content removed]

I would advise anyone not to finance a car with this guy Corey Sullivan. This guy is [non-permissible content removed]. He never disclosed the extra products he put on the contract. Very condescending and had a smart xxx mouth. If your looking for a new car I would definitely bypass this dealer because he is dishonest and did not make it right.

Relaxing and accepting

Dealt with Corey when looking for a new Kia. He was professional and I would definitely recommend to speak with him when purchasing a new vehicle at Kia Country. He was able to provide me with information for multiple vehicles to help with my decision. He seems to enjoy his work, which makes the experience of speaking with him feel like a natural conversation.

They delivered as promised - and more!

I talked to four Kia dealers and visited one before going to Kia Country of Charleston, which is a three-hour drive for me. Dealer #1 (local) had little in stock and would not give a price over the phone. "Come on down and we'll deal!" he said. In other words, he wanted to strong-arm me into buying a car I did not want at a price that was not attractive. He is a small-town dealer and specializes in squeezing people with poor credit. Most of the dealers in my town are like that. Dealer #2 (far away) was helpful, but had little in stock, and I was looking for a particular combination of options and colors (2015 Kia Soul ! with sun and sound package and "the whole shebang" package in Fathom Blue with Umber Interior - yes it is nice). They were very helpful, though and did have good internet prices for stripped models. They were a five hour drive away, though! Really friendly folks. Dealer #3 (an hour drive away) said they had the car in "extended inventory" and said I could come down and drive it - and quoted a price over the internet. I drove an hour and got there and immediately they wanted to "inspect my trade-in" (I wasn't really interested in trading in) before I looked at the car. Surprise, surprise, the car did not exist. Again, they wanted to strong-arm me into buying what they had on the lot, while kidnapping my "trade in" so I could not escape (this is an old trick among shadier dealers). We left after 3 minutes. Dealer #4 (an hour drive in the other direction) was honest and decent and admitted they didn't have the car but promised to call me if one came in, and also quoted me a price on the phone. I was about to give up, and thought, "I'll try Charleston" forgetting exactly how long a drive it is, just from I-95 down route 17 to Charleston (an hour right there, on a good day!). They had the exact car in stock. Exact. Right colors and options. The whole shebang. I sent and e-mail that night to the internet manager (Mike Brand) and got a call back the next day with a price, which was $500 below the Edmunds "True Market Value" (TMV) pricing, which is not a steal, but not a rip-off, either. When you want a specific model and color, you can't expect a super discount. Nevertheless, it was below factory invoice and a very reasonable price to pay for the car. I called and explained my story. I wasn't about to drive THREE hours to play games. So I was a little trepidatious when I got there. Was I going to be hosed like Dealer #3? Or given some runaround by a guy in a cowboy hat like Dealer #1? Well, we got there and the car was there. It was out of gas and it started to rain heavily - a real Carolina downpour! We got into the car and went to gas it up. The salesman Tim LeRay, was VERY knowledgeable about the car. You could tell he was a "car guy" and liked cars and had taken the time to really understand their products. He seemed to have an encyclopedic memory. OK, so the car was what we wanted, and quite frankly a lot nicer than we expected. We were cross-shopping this with the Mini Cooper (Countryman or Clubman or 4-door) and the VW Golf Sportwagon - all of which are cars that, similarly optioned, would run $10,000 more than the KIA. In fact, for the price of this KIA, you could barely touch a stripped MINI or GOLF. So we sit down to do the deal. Here comes the screw-job, right? Sell us the floor mats that came with it, or "undercoating" or sealant or some such nonsense? Or say, "Sorry, the price they quoted you was wrong!" Well, I was prepared to pay cash for the car, but they offered me 0% financing over 60 months for the EXACT SAME price, so why not? Fastest closing on a car I've ever had. And no hidden surprises in the contract - what they quoted me over the phone, and by e-mail (within a margin of error of course). Total time, including test driving the car and waiting for the rain to stop, about two hours, which isn't bad for a new car dealer. Sometimes I feel like Diogenes, looking for the last honest car dealer. I found it - Kia Country of Charleston!

Kia Country Rocks

I just purchased my 4th Kia from Kia Country, Sam Washington is the best, he makes sure everything is just as I want it to be, no haggling, no surprises just a nice smooth transaction. I purchased a 2015 from Sam in September but the vehicle was totaled in November when another driver hit a puddle and skid and hit my car, then another car hit me then we both hit the wall. The car was a mess but I was only bruised from the seatbelt and the air bag. I truly believe in the Kia Sorento.

Under an extended warranty issued during the purchase of my 2007 Sportage, the service department took the time to insure that the repairs were honored through the warranty. It was a treat to see things work like promised for a change.

I usually dread the hassle of trading a car but found it to be a pleasant experience at Kia Country of Charleston. Norm L was very knowledgeable and helpful. Steve A, General Manager, was very helpful in arriving at a fair trade-in value. I would recommend this dealership to anyone. I am very pleased with the K900. It is a nice quiet vehicle. Jim R

I was stressed to the max when I found out an ill-fitting oil cap led to my engine melting down. Kia was able to repair the engine quickly and provided a loaner car while repairs were being performed. I was skeptical that the repairs could be completed for the price quoted, since another garage had quoted me $1K more. I was ecstatic when repairs were completed at the original price, more quickly than I thought. Elkin and the Service dept. helped make a very stressful experience not so bad, and now I have a brand new Kia (under the hood). Thanks!

New car purchase

I had been looking for a new vehicle for about 1 month through various sites and individual dealerships. One particular day I was using autotrader and happened to run across a KIA Cadenza that had a listed price that caught my attention. I had test driven one locally about 3 months earlier but as much as I loved the car I knew it was a bit out of my price range. I assumed it had to be a typo so I called KIA Country of Charleston to inquire about the listing. I was transfered to Sam W who confirmed the price on the car. He stated it was a special price on only 2 vehicles.I was wanting the white one but he advised me someone had already placed a deposit on it. He stated that they had 1 other Cadenza at that price, a Satin Metal. On the site it appeared to be silver, not a big fan, however Sam told me it a distinct color and said I would like it better in person. He actually offered to drive the car to Columbia where I reside to let me see it. I already had financing established and decided to go for it sight unseen. I went to my financial institution with the vehicle information and we called Sam who immediately started all the paperwork and had it faxed to the bank and we were done in less than 45 minutes. Sam delivered the car to me personally the following Monday as this was late Friday already. I have never experienced a less stressfull car buying transaction in my life. Thanks to all involved, as I am absolutely thrilled with my new Cadenza as well as the positive comments made by others when they see it. Dreams do come true occasionally. My advice to those looking to purchase a new or used vehicle is to check out KIA Country of Charleston before making a final decision.

Easy & No stress

We used USAA's car buying service to purchase our new Kia. That service pointed us to Kia Country of Charleston. I did a little research about them before going there. I could not find a bad review at all. When you use the car buying service, USAA sends your wants and desires to their dealer. Within 10 minutes of finishing, I got a call from Courtney. We set a time and went in. The had the car ready for us to look at and drive. Sam went over ever detail of the car and answered any question. I'm always nervous when it comes to big purchases. Sam and Courtney help set our minds at ease during this entire process. Oh yeah, Kia Country actually beat USAA's financing rate.

Best Deal Best Service

I had started looking for a car when my old clunker finally gave way. After doing some research online and speaking with Courtney L of Kia Country about the new Kia Forte I new the price was right. The next step was easy, going in to look at the car to confirm I had the right one picked out. Lance W the sales associate that I was lucky enough to be assigned to really knew his stuff. After walking me through all the options and details about the new Kia Forte and taking it for a test drive I knew that I had made the right decision. There was no bait and switch or price hikes after the fact, they were true to their word and everything worked out perfectly. Courtney and Lance made my first car buying experience in a long time stress free and exciting. I would definitely recommend working with them and would definitely go back to Kia Country for another vehicle when the time comes.

Very Pleased

I searched the internet, received a quote and purchased a new Kia. They honored their quote and helped with my trade in. During my searching , they were not pushy, but stayed in contact until I decided to take my test drive. They were very helpful and explained everything in the car. I couldn't have asked for better service. Robert, Courtney and Sam were all with me all they way. I had a great experience and would recommend them to anyone.
