I am very frustrated. I was not able to get the Chevy loyalty discount because my equinox that I bought at Buchanan in 2021 was totaled 5 days prior. In addition, my dad and many family members were retired gm employees. I did not have a good family first discount # but called gm the next day and they gave me a new number and told me to call the dealer because I could still get the discount. The problem is I can not get a phone call back from Buchanan. I have bought cars at this dealership for 40 years and my family longer than that. It is extremely disappointing. I will not be purchasing there again and I will be reporting this to corporate.

Very polite, friendly and knowledgeable staff. With preparation on my end, we were in and out within 1.5 hrs. Buchanan has Great prices and an excellent powertrain warranty on selected vehicles. Highly recommend and would return to purchase another GM vehicle

4/24/2023 Oil Change - 2hrs & 12 minutes later…

This recent oil change visit took way, way longer than I expected. 2 hours & 12 minutes!!?? I only gave this review based on my oil change visit on 4/24/23. I also wanted to note, my oil life was not reset to 100%, still showed 30% oil life after the “ oil change” Please help make the services be more efficient and timely. When your customers have other obligations with the assumption an oil change should only take up to 45 minutes, your service techs should keep us informed of any delays!

Vehicle has been in service for 2 weeks. Continue to get the run around and lies. Spoke with service manger and he was completely unprofessional and rude to say the least. Finally got vehicle back and it’s still not fixed

Buchanan GMC is fantastic!! Great auto buying experience. Came from out of town, they picked me up from the airport (local) and had all the paperwork ready for me. My whole experience was 1.5 hours which included setting up my vehicle!! I would definitely buy another vehicle from Buchanan GMC!!

Prices on lot don't match online prices

We saw a Buick Encore listed online for $20,911 and another for about $22,000. When we went and saw them in person, the first had a tag in the window for $28,911 and the other was also in the ballpark of $28,000. That in itself makes me feel like the dealership feels a bit sketchy. Don't think I would ever buy a car there.

Had never been at this dealership before, but advertised price on used SUV looked good, so went to take a look. Wow! Was assaulted by blaring dance music and was really surprised by the super young really casually dressed staff. Not really professional, but if a deal works does it really matter? Never got that far...knew going in by reading fine print adv price was only good if using dealer financing, and if not, $2000 would be tacked onto the price. Just wanted them to get credit score for interest rate estimate, wasn’t ready to buy. Finance mgr basically told sales guy he was busy with customers who weren’t just looking. So deal dissolved there and I was told I’d be emailed a general breakdown of price with estimated interest rate the next day. That’s weird, but ok. Rep then escorted me out of the dealership, but his whole demeanor had changed since convo with finance mgr. At that point, I got the feeling that since I wasn’t some dumb ass with bad credit who would just go along into their sketchy sales practices, they were done. I’m done with them too. Oh, and never did get that email.

Buchanan did a great job handling my long distance purchase. Everything went very smooth. I also got a great price on a 2020 GMC SIERRA 2500 AT4. Love the new truck.

Price of the truck was very good. Tried tacking on $700 anti theft thing . . . I don’t think so! Also tacked on a $90 Nitrogen tire inflation charge which I didn’t push back on, although I should have. Gave me a fair price on my trade. Tried to hit me with a loan At 4.89% through GM Financial. My credit score is excellent. Pushed back on that and got 3.39%. Unprofessional staff. A lot of younger kids. My sales person was new and not the greatest. Dealt with manager most of the time. Had loud Pop music playing on a party speaker in the showroom. Took too long for me to take new truck home as I had to work. They delivered new truck to me at home the next day. Had to call twice to get paperwork sent to me. Would recommend only because of price and warn to double check everything before you sign paperwork.

The Second Time Around

The entertainment factor is worth going for even if you don't buy. They are glad to see you and they have a way of finding a car you just fall in love with. I had a car I bought at Buchanan. It had 49000 miles on. One day I got a call. He wanted my car to have used car stock. It was my chance to get a new one in a color I like!! The chocolate brown color this year is just heavenly! If you are thinking about a new or newer car stop in and talk to these guys!

I cannot say enough about the sales team at Buchanan! My girl friend and I were there looking for a new truck for myself. After going back and forth on multiple deals and looking at other vehicles, they called the General Manager in to the dealership on his day off to make a deal and get me going home in the truck I wanted, which they did! They asked me where I wanted my payments and met that! Not only did we leave there with 1 vehicle but we left with 2 vehicles! My girl friend found a used vehicle she liked and they made her a great deal as well! Everyone was so friendly and their prices were wonderful! This was by far the best car buying experience I have ever had. I came from over 30 minutes away because of their prices. I have a Chevrolet dealer directly in my backyard and chose to bypass them due to the prices. I highly recommend Buchanan Chevrolet!

The service department always goes the extra mile to insure the work is done correctly and on time. They advise me of potential future issues, but do not try to oversell services. I give the service department an A+. Also, while no mechanical service at a dealer is inexpensive I find their rates fair and competitive.

I just purchased a new 2019 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Duramax High Country and it and the deal were awesome. Alex and Mike (the manager) made the deal as easy as it gets. I asked over the phone for the best deal they could provide to persuade me to drive 2.5 hours to buy a vehicle. The deal was better then I thought was possible. I drove up with my trade and was headed back home with my new truck 1.5 hours later. I plan on doing it again in two years. Tony
