Ray Price salesman just hung up on me

by JohnnyTF on 09/11/2018

Went to Ray Price looking to buy an F150 and because I got a much better offer and bought one at another dealership, I got a call from the Ray Price salesman I worked with who directed a lot of anger toward me and hung up on me.

Sold a Branded Title/Lemon Vehicle

by LadyCB30 on 04/12/2016

I bought a used GMC Acadia from Ray Price in 2014. Within the first week of purchasing this vehicle, while on my way to work, the vehicle engine light came on and it stopped on the highway (I-80) just passed the Delaware Water Gap. I had the vehicle towed back to the dealership where they stated they had no idea why it stopped operating and kept the vehicle for almost 2 weeks for repair. I was then told the transmission had a problem and they had repaired it. After this I noticed the passenger window would not roll down, the A/C Compressor and Heater Core did not work and I had multiple problems with the vehicle switching gears while driving making a very choppy, inconsistent ride. The vehicle also shakes and revs when it’s not in motion which poses a safety problem to me while driving with my children. Since then, I’ve moved to Georgia and had to get the Transmission completely replaced. I also attempted to get the A/C Compressor and Heater Core fixed but it was not covered under the warranty. In March, I tried to trade this vehicle in because I didn’t want to deal with anymore problems and the dealership advised me this was a “Branded Vehicle” and they would not accept my vehicle. They provided me with an 8-page CARFAX report that explained all the problems with the vehicle including it was a “Lemon /Buy Back”. I went to 2 other dealerships and they told me the same thing and that they would not take the vehicle. I was never informed of this by the dealership and would have never purchased this vehicle if I’d known this information. I called Ray Price Chevrolet and spoke with the office manager Shelly and she stated that they don’t know anything about this vehicle being a lemon, this was not a “Salvage” vehicle because I had driven it passed 30,000 miles since I purchased the vehicle. I advised her that no dealership will take this vehicle. She then spoke with her manager and offered to trade my vehicle in for another of their vehicles provided I complete a credit application and get approved for a new auto loan. I was completely taken advantage of and the dealership doesn't want to take responsibility of their fraudulent actions.

Ray price sucks

by eucasia on 02/18/2016

My boyfriend bought a 2005 Chevy Cobalt from here not even 5 days ago and it already stalled because of the alternator. It was a used car and they assured us that it was in good condition with no problems, that was the biggest load of crap. As we drove off the lot he noticed the lemon we were just sold had a gas leak. The next day we bought the car back and they fixed the leak. A day after getting the gas leak fixed the check engine light turned on. Then it turned off, so we ignored it. Then a day after that the car stopped running on his way to work. He got a jump from a stranger, but the car only ran enough to get us into a parking lot. We then went to Ray Price and were told that there was nothing they can do.. WHAT THEY SHOULD OF DONE IS NOT SELL HIM A LEMON, OR BEEN HONEST ABOUT THE PROBLEMS UP FRONT..

Beyond Excellent

by O_Albert on 07/08/2015

Ray Price Mt. Pocono's sales team actually helped me. About two months ago I tried to buy a car from Ray Price Stroudsburg. They still haven't called me with an offer on a Mustang, despite my visiting their showroom three times. Ray Price Mt. Pocono found my car - in OHIO - and confirmed in under 15 minutes that it was still available. I bought it sight unseen and could not be happier with the results. The car was delivered three days before I expected it and is amazing. They even found me 2.2% financing as opposed to my bank's 2.49%. Who could ask for more?

Great Customer Service, Excellent Price

by Riderwild on 05/27/2015

Joe Volpe was a pleasure to deal with. He was easy-going, never pushed the sale and worked with my husband and me on price and on getting the car checked out by my personal mechanic. We are THRILLED with our purchase, which is our third from Ray Price. Also, kudos to your internet team for following up on my inquiry on a holiday weekend. Because of them, we were able to see the car, a 2011 Hyundai Sonata Limited edition, on Monday of Memorial Day weekend and cut a deal! Great customer service Ray Price, Mount Pocono.

A good place to buy a car

by lydiasdad on 05/18/2012

I bought a 2011 Ford Focus in January 2011. I told the salesman I specifically wanted a stick shift, not an automatic. He said they didn't have any stickshifts on the lot at the moment, but let me go make a couple phone calls. He came back a few minutes later and said they found one at another dealer that they can trade one of thier cars with, and it will be here tomorrow if I want to come back. So I went back the next day and it is what I wanted, in addition, because it was a 2011 and the 2012s were redesigned, they really wanted to sell off the 2011s. So even though it was new, I got almost 4,000 off the sticker price. I was trading in a piece of garbage 05 kia optima that had 120k miles and was literally falling apart. I researched and knew what the trade in value was. They offered me a little more than that value. So I got a good deal and a year and a half later, I still love this car. Finally, they gave me free inspection for life And they give you 5 bucks off your oil change. I get my oil changed there because its only $25. Thats like $7 less than spiffy lube (although not as fast) AND they tell me to come back in 5k miles, unlike EVERY other oil change place which tries to tell you you should come back every 3k miles. Hhmmmm....cheaper oil changes and less frequent? I'll gladly get my oil changed there from now on
