Bungled paperwork that cost me $$

Save yourself the hassle, anger and money. Power Volkswagen made costly mistakes and I am out more than $300 because of their bumbling. They also forgot to have me sign crucial paperwork, so I had to make special trips just to sign things I should have signed the day of purchase. NOT WORTH THE FRUSTRATION. Go somewhere else. If there were a way to give zero stars, I would. And here's a lesser frustration: VW is cheap in rewarding the hard work of its employees. The man who showed me the car was helpful (the one good thing from this experience). When I filled out the survey for his performance, I gave him all 9's, which is excellent in my opinion. The 10 meant "truly exceptional," but that rating is rare for anything, let alone a simple job such as showing a car. VW denied him a paltry bonus all because of their impossible rating system. They're cheap, basically, and they see their scoring system as an easy way out. Go somewhere else. Seriously.

Personal Touch - Kari Mayton

I had the opportunity to work closely with Kari Mayton who was not only personable and informational she was sincerely genuine. Kari is not your typical sales person which made it much more comfortable since I was located over 700 miles away and interested in a vehicle at Power Buick GMC Volkswagen of Corvallis. I would highly recommend Kari as your next sales professional because that is exactly who she is, a professional with a personal touch. Thank you Kari Mayton Jennifer B

Jim Roe handled the purchase of my new car last weekend in Corvallis. I was in Portland and had seen an ad for a good price on Auto Trader that the dealerships in Portland could not match. So to reassure me of his sincerity, at my request, he asked his manager to send me an email guaranteeing that price. Then he sent a driver to Portland to pick me up. My beautiful new car was waiting when I got there and we went for a spin. Then Jim kept me company while waiting for the paperwork to be completed. I read perhaps a half of a page of the book I had brought, expecting to wait alone. He's as helpful and engaging as they come. It will be a pleasure for you to work with him. And I love my new red VW Golf wagon! What a joy to drive it back to Portland through the springtime valley. He has also been responsive to questions that have come up as I read through the owner's manual. Ask for Jim Roe!

Straightforward and honest

I worked with Nicole Roka towards my first car purchase, and she made it a wonderful experience for me! I initially had an image of car dealers being very pushy, but she did not fit in this image at all. Nicole was genuinely helpful, and did her best to provide straightforward and honest suggestions. What I appreciated the most was how she interacted with me as a "person", and was never pushy about making my decision. When I found the car I liked (Jetta Wolfsburg 2010) and told her the budget, she and the financing team did their best to provide me with the best offer possible. Although there were some issues with the car at first, Nicole quickly solved these problems and made sure that it was stress-free. I am glad I stuck to looking for a car in Corvallis over Portland - it was all worth the experience. I highly recommend working with Nicole to find a car!

Nicole Roka is the one you want

Nicole made this such an easy and wonderful experience. She spoke with my husband on the phone, set the price and had our credit approved before we arrived. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the Jetta SEL we purchased. Everyone there was nice, but Nicole is my girl. She has made it clear that if we have any questions, she is still available to us even after the sale.
