Could not figure out the problem sold us a battery then car was recalled

We have had trouble with the car not starting. Brake would not compress to be able to start the car. All the gages would worked fine, radio lights etc. Brought it in for normal maintenance check up and part of the checkup was to check the battery. 3 weeks later we had to have it towed from Yukon to Edmond again would not start. The service tech reached in the arm rest found the "magic button" and the car started right up. Would like to know where the magic button is but he would not tell us even though it's our car!! They said it was the battery and when I asked why could they not tell 3 weeks ago that the battery was bad I was told that they only "looked at the battery" to see if it was bad and they piece of equipment needed to test the battery was too expensive. 1 month later the car was recalled for the same reason and was brought in and repaired. They replaced a perfectly good battery because they could not figure out anything else to do. I have no confidence in a service dept. that can't tell if a battery is good or not. I also feel that they had to have some kind of idea of the recall problem. Surely Hyundai would give their dealers a heads up.
