I have worked with Austin twice over three years to purchase a new vehicle. Everyone there is super friendly and responsive, taking the time to discuss options. There is truly no pressure when dealing with Coughlin, and their pricing is consistent with Hyundai unlike some other dealers. Austin and Joe helped me get the best deal, and even notified me of a last minute change to Hyundai incentives moments before my purchase was finalized. Much appreciated and will definitely be back.

I see there are many five star reviews for this dealership. I'm sorry to say mine cannot be another one. There are many things to say, so let's get started. First, the dealer lied to me, hiding rebates offered by Hyundai for financing through them. When we were within $500 of the deal I sought, and I was going to walk away, they 'found' a $500 rebate on the car I wanted. The problem is, they initially lied to me and said there were none. Then, through a friend of mine who is also a Hyundai salesman, I found out the rebate was actually supposed to be $750. The dealer was going to keep the remaining $250 of that rebate for theirselves. After I drove the car, I decided against it, and test drove another one. Because of the ordeal getting them to even admit that there was a rebate before, I let them know I checked with my friend, and found the next car I was interested in had a $1500 rebate from Hyundai. They did give that to me right away, because they knew I had my friend advising me, and couldn't get away with it. But they tried the oldest trick in the book by reducing what they were giving me for my trade. I caught it, and they fixed it, after some disussion on it. My salesperson Mallarie was also not very pleasant, even snarky at times. She tried to tell me more than once that rebates were "dealer specific." My Hyundai salesman friend told me in no way was that true. The rebate was in the deal, whether they were showing it to me or not. When I called her on the $1500 rebate, and the sales manager agreed to give in and give me MY rebate, she came back with such an attitude, and said, "there, we gave it to you." She didn't speak to me as she passed between her desk and the manager's desk. Another note: the dealer won't take out of state financing, meaning I couldn't go to my bank and take out a loan, and take a check with me to the dealer. Why? Because Hyundai gives the dealer an incentive to get customers to finance through them. And if the customer doesn't make three payments in a row to start the loan, they lose that incentive (money) from Hyundai. Knowing this, and still agreeing to buy from them, it was appalling that they then tried to keep MY rebate for financing through Hyundai. They wanted the world... their incentive AND my rebate. And when they didn't get it, I got treated like crap. They also sent me home with less than a half tank of gas. Who does this? They are reimbursing me for my latest fuel purchase, but man.. bush league for allowing me to drive off the lot without a full tank. Also.. the description of the car and it's features on the dealer's site were not features on my car. The sticker on the car does match the features I received, but not what was on the site. Last of all, my dealer friend said there was no way they were leaving my email in the system. so that Hyundai could send me a survey about my purchase experience. And sure enough, I didn't get the survey. Hyundai requires dealer's to maintain a 4.9 out of 5.0 stars for ratings. I'm sure they knew I wouldn't give them a good one based on how they treated me, so they made sure my email wasn't going to Hyundai. That's why I'm reviewing them here. One bright spot, was the finance manager Jamie looking for something I believed we left in the car. He said he looked for 30 minutes, and I believed and appreciate him for it. He also got me in and out quickly, and has maintained good communication with me after the sale, especially making sure I am getting reimbursed for the gas I didn't get. But that bright spot doesn't even begin to make up for the total crap show I experienced at this dealership. I only wish the dealer my friend worked at had cars. I would've walked right out of this place and never looked back.

Excellent care and efficiency

The service department at Coughlin’s in Heath are always on time, efficient, and friendly. They take time to explain what they did and what to watch out for. Plus, it’s always a plus that they wash my car after the service is completed.

This dealership has real honest people who are easy to understand and take the time to explain everything about the car. No pushy salesmen, they took the time to explain the difference between the three cars I was interested in. Close to my home.

Always A Pleasure

Although I’ve only had my vehicle a few months, I’ve been to Hyundai for routine service/oil changes three times already due to the mileage I’ve managed to rack up. Everything from online scheduling to the way I’m treated at checkout has been a pleasure. The facility is unbelievably clean, organized and professional looking. Upon entering their waiting lounge, I’ve always received a text from the person doing the work, inviting me to contact him directly should I have any questions. Just a top-notch organization based on my experience so far!

No pressure sales

We had a great experience working with Chip. He has a lot of knowledge about the cars and does not pressure you about anything. I'm the type of person who would of walked away and gone to Columbus if that had been the case. He worked really hard at geting the exact car I wanted and we would go back.again.

Coughlin Hyundai make this your first stop for a new car

Went to Coughlin Hyundai in Heath on 10/27/18 to test drive a 2019 Sonata and look over a 2018 Sonata Limited 2.0 Turbo that was on showroom floor. Plan was to get a 2019 Limited in the Spring and order what we wanted for color etc. Being a 10 year Sonata owner we were satisfied with Hyundai. We were met by Chip Price, sales associate and we first off saw the most beautiful gray Limited on the floor and it was getting serious. Chip got us into a Sport Sonata 2019 and loved it on the test drive. Chip went over the many great features of the 2018 Limited and we were sold on it. We decided to get some numbers. With the great deal we were given on the Limited, we closed the deal. I went back the next day after all financing was finalized by Jim Brown and signed the paperwork. Wife and I returned a few days later to pick up our awesome car(after Polysteel Coating applied). Chip spent over and hour going over the techy stuff with my wife and I so she could feel comfortable since she will be primary driver. Chip and Jim were 5 star from the get go. All personnel were friendly and greeted us each time we came. Looking for a new car? Head to Coughlin Hyundai Heath and you will never regret it.

Outstanding Customer Service!

Please keep an open mind as you begin to read this review, it gets better I promise. I had bought a 2009 Mini Cooper S from Coughlin Hyundai in Heath, Ohio. They did everything they could to get me that vehicle. Sadly the vehicle didn't start after having it for barely a week, Coughlin worked on it and paid for all the expenses considering the circumstances. After having the vehicle back it had to go to the shop again for minor issues, again they took care of everything and helped me out a lot. After getting the vehicle back a second time, it ended up not starting again. Very flustered I called Joe at Coughlin and he helped me get the new Mazda that I am currently driving, no money out of pocket and is towing the Mini Cooper away from my house for free also. Overall very pleased with how they handled my situation, as awful as it was. They were outstanding and I understand that it was the vehicle that was bad, not them. Even though I bought a vehicle "as is" with no warranty whatsoever, Coughlin helped me get into a new car that I love with no hassle because they understood the situation.

My experience with Coughlin was great and only got better. Chip Price, our salesman was spot on with how he dealt with us. Absolutely fair and above board. His numerous follow-ups with us led to solving a flaw in the car and it was Chip... in sales... that helped facilitate getting a major warranty repair done. He went way above and beyond what I have ever experienced in car sales.

Love my Elantra

I was driving a 2009 Pontiac G6 which I loved and had no problems with. I received an offer letter from Coughlin Hyundai of Heath Oh, so I called and put in a credit application. Traveled there and was basically told that I couldn't get a car due to negative equity left in my G6. I was okay with it because I really loved my G6 and I wasn't looking to buy another car prior to the letter I received. I went home and a couple of hours later my salesman Justin called and told me that I was approved for a brand new Elantra 2014. I was very happy but reluctant to leave my G6. Once I arrived at the dealership that Monday and I saw my new car I fell in love. I have already given her a name which is Arvon. I signed my papers and now I am a proud owner of a new Hyndai. I appreciate Hyndai for giving me a chance and I love love my car.

Finally a dealership we could work with after 1 month of looking. Justin W. went out of his way to assist us in getting a car that fit into our budget, along with having the options we desired. Beckie L. & Mike S. made sure we were in agreement with the financial aspect of our purchase. Joe E. checked several banks & worked for us making sure we got the best interest rate. Scott Becker assisted me in setting up BlueLink & explained its useage to me. This was our 1st visit to Coughlin Hyundai, however won't be our last. Shawn does call from time to time just to make sure that I'm still happy with the car and to see if I had any issues or questions. He did tell me that he moved next door to the Toyoda dealership, but its still within the Coughlin family of dealerships, so he is still able to help me when I do decide to upgrade! Service after the sale, this I like!

Exceptional

Shawn F. was exceptional. There was no bs, just intelligent responses to my inquiries. He was quick and spot on. We had a deal, complete with trade in, within 3-4 e-mail exchanges. When I arrived to get the vehicle he had done advance work to cut down on my time there. I would recommend him highly and of course that reflects well on the dealership. After four days of mis-steps with another dealer, this was a much better experience. I don't pit one dealer against another to get a price, but the successive experiences of dealing with one and getting to no deal, and then dealing the same way with Coughlin and getting a deal in no time was about as illustrative of the concept of "good practices" as I have ever seen. I never write reviews nor participate in surveys, but the exceptional service here made me want to let people know there is a great dealer out there in central Ohio.

The first and only time I visited the dealership, Shawn was so prepared I was able to leave with my new car in about two hours. Because Coughlin is so customer focused, I left feeling like my time was highly valued and that I got a fantastic deal on a great car.
