Shop around first

onYes, definitely shop around first. there are many dealers in and around a 30 miles radius. I can't say I had a horrible experience but my salesman did lack motivation and I got the sense that he was just going through the motions like most automaton dealers. I was very well prepared, I had the numbers I wanted which were very realistic. All I wanted the salesman to do was his job and give me options. And at the same time, do it with enthusiasm. I would have bought my second Mazda from this dealer if I felt like I was being treated like a loyal customer. But there was absolutely no negotiating, not even a free lollipop at signing and believe me I would of rolled right off the lot in a new vehicle if they even came down a dollar. Everything happens for a reason and I got an even better deal than I was hoping for at White Plains Mazda the same day.
