Bait and switch

by Sue on 01/27/2020

If you are looking for bait and switch, then you have come to the right place! I have never been treated so poorly in all my life. After being a loyal customer for 35 years, I was disrespected by the sales management team. I was sent an email with an exact quote. When I arrived at the dealership, they said that the price was including all the discounts, which I did not qualify for! When I showed them the email that clearly showed the price, they low balled my trade it . I left and went to another Nissan dealership(Cherry Hill) and was treated with such respect and kindness! Lesson learned... all dealerships ARE NOT equal and never buy a car from Woodbury Nissan!

by Dawn on 01/26/2019

I struggled with my credit after a divorce. The buy here pay here I bought 10 months ago literally died.... So by chance I stopped into Woodbury Nissan and found Dominic Carlino . What an experience he made sure I got the car I truly wanted with our any stress of getting my credit approved. He was professional and great to work with. I recommend HIM AND WN to everyone looking. I love my car Dominic Carlino THANK YOU WILL NEVER BE ENOUGH!!!

Great Service from Kiare Grantham @ Nissan Woodbury

by Kimberly_Zalot on 11/12/2018

I rarely write reviews but after the excellent customer service I received from Kiare Grantham @ Nissan Woodbury I had had to do a review on the excellent, friendly and prompt services that Kiare provided as well as how he went over and above to get the issue resolved before I left. Thanks again Kiare!!!

Mother ripped off

by Toni on 09/27/2018

My mother purchased a vehicle here a couple of days ago. This vehicle "just came onto the lot" 2011 Nissan Rogue, 61k miles and previously in an accident. My mom called me happy she got a new vehicle but something didn't seem right to me, I decided to dig and do some research. My research suggests the vehicle was worth about 10k with taxes and fees out the door at 13k. My mom was charged close to 19k. She put 5k down and walked out the door with a 14k loan. Someone is getting a nice commission check from her. I called the manager and was told she got a good deal we will take care of her first oil change. Well, gzzz, thanks for ripping her off. They tried to justify an 8k increase because of a warranty worth $2700.00 (that she didn't want to begin with).

Great car buying experience!

by Tim_H. on 08/14/2018

I just purchased a new Nissan Sentra SV from Woodbury Nissan, and they made it a GREAT experience! Ryan & Rebekah from the internet sales team answered all the questions I had prior to arriving. Once I arrived I was introduced to my sales person Joel Apfelbaum, who continued to make my purchase a pleasant experience! He answered all the questions I had & then some. During delivery he took the time to go over every feature, and showed me things I didn't even know the car could do! I should also mention that I really like the fact that I didn't feel pressured at any time, by anyone. They made it a very relaxing atmosphere, with no high pressured sales pitch, and no rushing me to make any hasty decisions. A great dealership to purchase a car from! With a great staff to make your visit & purchase a pleasure! Sincere Thanks to my sales person: Joel Apfelbaum, Ryan & Rebekah in the internet sales dept., and the rest of the staff at Woodbury Nissan for doing such a great job! Sincerely, Timothy P. Haas II PS: Here's an important fact that should be mentioned: The window sticker on my new 2018 Nissan Sentra states an EPA avg. of 29-mpg (CITY) & 37-mpg (highway)? That's one of the main reasons that we chose a Sentra. In fact, my wife & I took a little road trip the day after our purchase just to see whats up with the fuel economy? We pressed the little button for ECO-mode, reset the on board trip compute with the little MPG indicator, jumped on I-95, and headed out on a little 200 mile trip, to put it to the test? Without any harsh acceleration, and keeping up with the flow of traffic averaging about 65-70mph, we were able to tip 46 mpg at times, and produced an AVG of 42.2- MPG at the end of our 200 mile trip. I'd have to say: The Nissan Sentra has surpassed our expectations of fuel economy. And it did it without the help of an electric motor. This thing gets MPG comparable to some hybrids (without having to plug it in) & with out looking hideous driving down the road! Cause lets face it, without mentioning any competitors names, there are some UGLY hybrids rolling down the road! I'll take my Nissan Sentra any day over them, and save the money on my ELECTRIC BiLL to boot! Did I mention we averaged 42.2 MPG on that trip? :) lol.

No pressure, smooth, and streamlined

by Mike on 07/18/2018

We just bought a new Nissan Murano 2018 model from Woodbury Nissan, and the experience was excellent. We had been to other dealerships in the region (Nissan, and other), and we came to learn that there are plenty of dealerships that go about things the wrong way. Conversely, the team at Woodbury Nissan did everything the right way, every step along the way - from no-pressure test driving, to no-haggle pricing, swift and honest financing, and a quick, happy journey through a very comfortable, streamlined process to driving away in our new vehicle. We drove nearly an hour each way from Pennsylvania to Woodbury, NJ to make this deal - and it was absolutely worth the trip!

Old School Sales Tactics

by No_Repeat on 08/28/2016

Woodbury Nissan salesman lie and scam using old school sales tactics. They present pricing but when it is time to write the contract, things change. When you question their pricing, they claim it was all legit. They will lie and cheat you out of every dollar they can. I would not recommend this dealership.

Worst Dealer Experience of My Life

by NoWdbryNissan on 11/30/2014

I purchased a vehicle and attempted to give them my service business. They completely blew every opportunity to the point of me fuming out of the dealership. Of the dozen or so cars I bought, this is by far the worst experience. Save yourself a headache and an insult, go elsewhere.

Take Your Business Elsewhere

by MrHonest on 01/23/2013

Woodbury Nissan posted an online advertisement for a used car. Other than the price of the vehicle, and a statement that a $200 discount would be given if the customer brought a print-out of the on-line advertisement, there was no disclosure made of any additional costs or fees. I came to the dealership bearing a copy of the on-line advertisement and test-drove the advertised vehicle. Having had prior experience with disreputable autodealers attempting to foist last-minute charges upon me, I expressly asked the salesman to disclose any costs or fees in addition to applicable sales tax and the actual, hard cost of tags for the vehicle. The salesman made no disclosures, after which I offered to pay the advertised price, less the $200 discount, plus applicable sales tax and the actual cost of tags. The salesman went to see the sales manager, came out with a piece of paper bearing the advertised sales price, less $200 "+ tax + tags," told me "we have a deal" and shook my hand. After encouraging me to close the deal that evening, and to have my wife make the 1 hour round trip drive to the dealership with my son to drive my car home following the purchase, the "sales manager" appeared to "go over the numbers with me." At that time, the sales manager demanded that I pay over $400 in fake or inflated "document fees" and "courier fees" which he refused to remove even after I explained that I had expressly inquired as to the existence of such fees, that none had been disclosed, and that the deal was made on the basis of the agreed price plus only tax and tags. This is a version of the classic "bait and switch," made only after the dealer believed that I was so "committed" to closing the deal that I would hold my nose and pay hundreds of dollars of newly-sprung charges. When I insisted that the dealership honor its bargain, they refused, told me that they would not do business with me, and told me to leave.

Should not take 1.5 hours to sign docs!

by paulsnj on 06/11/2012

We looked at a used vehicle here that was nice and clean and they gave us keys to take out without the salesman tagging along. Came back and haggled a bit and made a pretty good deal. Then filled out credit app and the finance guy got me a decent rate by calling the same bank that carried our prior vehicle. By then it was 8:50 PM and I told them it looked like we were good to go and would call back after 1 PM the next day when the salesman came back to work. I don't want to be "that guy" who keeps people at work late, and had to deliver my old car to its buyer the next day anyway to get the $$ for the down payment. Sales manager called about 10AM next day, I told him we were good to go, but to please have the tint taken off of the front windows and top of windshield (illegal in NJ). Salesman called me at 1:30 and conformed, told him I would be in with my wife to sign docs between 7 and 7:15. Well we got stuck waiting to get in the F & I "chamber" until almost 8:30 after showing up at 7:10. They were backed up with other deliveries, so the story goes. It is a coincidence that all of these rooms at dealers are tiny with no windows? And the whole time we waited, the salesman tried to sell me an extended warranty for 3 to 4 years. I told him that does me no good, as I would blow through the 50K miles in a year and a half and still be paying for a warranty for four. My wife was ready to tell them to keep their [non-permissible content removed] car and was really pissed. I had looked at quite a few of this model and liked this one due to the price, condition, and low mileage so that is why I tolerated the wait. I also knew that I could go to a Chrysler dealer and buy my own warranty instead of the aftermarket plan which no doubt the dealer marks up 100%. The woman who ran the F & I desk was efficient and got us out of there in 20 minutes as she knew we were steamed. I really feel we got "pushed back" on the schedule to allow us to get the hard sell about the extended warranty. Believe me, I have been in sales since I was 17 selling furniture and would last about two days in a car dealership. I respect the customer's time and also demand that respect back. If I tell someone they will have a proposal on a certain day and time that is when they get it. If there is a delay I communicate that as well. Yes, the financing was fair and it was same rate and term as quoted the night before - at least none of that chicanery went on. So the moral of the story is never lose control the situation. If the dealer truly knew they would be backed up for over a hour I could have been called and we could have grabbed dinner or something to kill time. I had an appointment that evening which should have put me at the top of the list but I suppose those don't mean much in the world of car dealerships.

Don't just walk - RUN from Woodbury Nissan!

by openroad87 on 06/29/2010

The worst experience I have ever had buying a car. Woodbury sales and management team were unethical. After putting a deposit down on a specific vehicle, dealership pulled a classic bait-and-switch maneuver. They lied and then lied to cover the original lie. Do not do business here. If you somehow find yourself at Woodbury Nissan, do not walk away - run away!!

Very good experience

by durrrr on 06/05/2010

A day before I went to Woodbury Nissan, I went to another Nissan dealership closer to where I live. I was a quoted a price of $25,450 on a 2010 Nissan Altima 3.5SR with the premium package and sport package. When I arrived at the other dealer, the price magically changed and the value of my trade-in somehow changed mid-negotiation. I walked out and Woodbury Nissan was the only other dealership in the state that had the car I wanted. They quoted me almost exactly the same price as the other dealership ($5 less actually) and I went there to purchase. The Internet salesman said hello and then handed me off to another salesman. He showed me the car. I said I was ready to buy. We sat down. He printed out my emails back and forth with the Internet salesman to confirm the price. I confirmed. He gave me a fair offer on my trade-in. I accepted. And I purchased. The only downside to the whole transaction was that it took forever for the paperwork to be done to complete the transaction. I spent nearly 4 hours at the dealership and about 3.8 of those hours were me just sitting by myself at a table waiting for the salesman and finance guys to do their paperwork. But nonetheless they got me the car I wanted at the price they promised and I've had no problems with the car ever since. It may have been a different experience if I was going there to shop around because the parking situation was tight and there were too many salesmen and most of the cars were across a busy street and I saw some other customers there that seemed to be getting haggled pretty badly on the price, but fortunately I didn't have to go through any of that. The dealership also did not seem to be in the best area, but I'm not from around there so I don't really know.

Pleasant Experience

by colanator on 09/05/2009

I'm a woman who was able to buy a used 2009 Mazda 5 for $1000 under Kelly Blue Book Price. I didn't plan to buy a car but they made me an offer I could not refuse after some "back and forth" with a sales manager. It was painless compare to the experience I had [elsewhere]. Nobody was rude but they are forward. Be warned they will sell you a extended warrenty in the sales office. They gave me an interest rate on par with an internet quote I was given. In my mind, everything was fair.

Nissan of Woodbury, New Jersey

by futureman44 on 08/25/2009

I received an internet quote for a Maxima SV Premium package for $31,800. When I went to the dealership I showed them the price and said I had a cash for clunker car to turn in. At that point the salesman said that they were only accepting CFC off the MSRP. The deal he gave me for CFC was worse than the internet quote I received from them a few weeks earlier. He also tried to tell me the internet quote included first time buyer, military and student discounts that probably wouldn't apply to me. This screamed bait and switch. I should have picked up on this when I walked in the door and asked for the internet sales manager who prompltly handed me off to a sales guy on the floor. After haggling with him about honoring my internet price and taking the $3500 off the quote he walked away from me. I would recommend staying away from Woodbury, Nissan. They got me on the bait and switch and then the salesman (Jeff) got mad at me for trying to negotiate my CFC deal off their original quote. Not to mention this dealership is not in the best of areas and you have to cross a 4 lane highway to look at their inventory of cars across the street. Plus, very little on site parking.

BUYER BEWARE!! HORRIBLE~ Woodbury Nissan!

by renalder on 01/02/2009

The typical '[violative content deleted] car salesman' is true at this dealership. The LONG wait, techno music blaring, the "I have to talk to my manager", they do NOT stand by their words. My wife and I went in to finally purchase the SUV we always wanted. We put a LOT of money down for the specific model we wanted. They said no problem the vehicle would be delivered in a few days. A few days later at 10PM (with my baby and wife asleep) they called and said they couldn't get the vehicle, that it was "damaged". I should backtrack a bit, I spoke to another local Nissan dealer and they said there was no way that Woodbury could find that vehicle we wanted because they couldn't find any in the database. So, Woodbury says that they can offer me a stock vehicle in a different color. I know, I'm complaining about the color but when your spending a LOT of money on a car you plan to drive into the dirt you want the right one. I told them to cancel the deal and refund my money. They said "Ok". Then they called back ten minutes later (remember the sleeping baby, guess they didn't care) and said they may be able to get one but with a different color interior and by the way we had to decide now because their sale ends at midnight. So, I asked for the owner's name and they gave me a name, too bad it was only a manager (they forget that the internet is so handy that you can Google Woodbury Nissan and find out the manager's names). They lied about something so simple as the owner. I had a real bad vibe about them. I would definetly not recomend them. Last time I checked when you put a deposit down for a specific model you should get that model.

worst experience

by hmdero on 03/11/2008

Employee(s) I worked with: Reggie, Anthony Mazzone Ok, I know car dealerships are places usually people HATE going to (especially when you HAVE to buy a car), but I've been to good dealerships (rare) from time to time. However, this experience was byfar the worse. During my visit there, Reggie, the sales person, barely gave me much time to look over the car that I was interested in. I had questions about the dents on the car that I was concerned of, but he basically blew if off by saying 'I don't know.' The test drive was awful, just down the street and back again (I was only allowed to make 1 right turn and then a left turn to head back to the dealship). The test drive was ridiculus. The whole sales pitching thing was extremely annoying, but completely by the book: they spotted me as a potential buyer, took my driver's license, and made me wait forever for practically no reason to drain my patience. I told them I was still shopping around (which is true!), and they absolutely refused to let me leave. Then they took me into a little room with the sales manager, Anthony, who was btw, a [violative content deleted] [violative content deleted], to negotiate a price. I guess it's the same old story. Overall, they basically ignored a lot of my questions and requests, and were totally just concertn with making a sale. MAIN part of my complaint: I usually wouldn't spend time writing up any reviews, but these guys pissed me off so much that I just had to. I agreed to buy a used Mazda3 for pretty cheap ($11.3k) from them during that visit. I put down a 500dollar deposit on the car so I can get some stuff ready before I make the real purchase. I called in the middle to check up on the car and see if they did the stuff I requested for (rotation, steering wheel adjustments), and they said 'The car is in GREAT shape, you're lucky to get this car'..etc, and everything seemed well. The evening before the day I was planning to go purchase and pick up the car, I called Woodbury to let them know. I talked with Reggie and asked about the car, and he said he has to go check up on the car, he doesn't know if it's there, and told me he would call back later, because he was too busy with customers in the store. Later at their closing time, I had to call back for Reggie, and Reggie told me the car that I wanted was GONE. He said the car was actually under a lease, and they had to return the car to the old dealership that owned the car. (This is pretty much BS. When they recieved the car, they could easily know if the car is under a lease or not by looking at the owner of the TITLE OF THE CAR.) So, I wasted an entire day when I could've been shopping around for other cars. Wasted an entire week getting stuff ready to buy the car. I wasted money on driving to the dealership, and I spent money for a couple days of useless insurance for that specific car. If they lost the car, couldn't they at least LET ME KNOW?! Couldn't they have just called me? I asked them to at least refund my deposit, and he said sure, 'definitely.' I waited around 4 business days for that refund before I had to call back. Reggie told me he's working on the paperwork 'as we speak' and I should see the refund back on my credit card statement tomorrow (another excuse for poor customer service). Next day, I did see something on my credit card statement. ANOTHER CHARGE FOR $500. This took stupid mistake another 2,3 days to resolve and I eventually did get my refund (of $1000 now) back. And finally, I was done with dealing with Woodbury. I am really furious about the treatment I recieved from Woodbury, but I'm just sharing my story with you. Hope my story would give you an idea of how shady they are and how bad the service is at Woodbury. I would not recommend this place, period
