Unsatisfactory customer experience

onRecently purchased a 2015 Passat from this dealership. Overall turned out to be an unsatisfactory experience primarily because the sales person refused to deliver on his commitment.
When we took vehicle delivery, we found floor mats were missing in the car. Since it was late in the evening, our sales person told us we could pick them up at a later date along with the registration/plates etc. However, when we went to collect the plates, they told us the carpet floor mats were not part of the standard trim.
I now understand VW does not include carpet mats with the standard configuration, (which in itself is questionable. VW seems to excel in deceptive business practices and short changing their customers). However, the sales person should have known about it. He should have been honest and upfront about it and not promise something they had no intention of delivering.
Also, beware of inflated vehicle etching, documentation costs etc, and potential rip-off practices.
Would be better if they actually focused on providing fivestar experience instead of pushing customers to rank them as such on auto websites.
