I came in and Royce greeted me and offered me coffee, he then sat me at my desk and I let him know my financial situation at the moment. He assured me he will get me the best deal possible on a 2020 Camry I have wanted! He got it done and I’m so thankful!

Toyota universe is [non-permissible content removed]!

Toyota Universe! How do I begin, I’ll start by saying I reported this dealership and filed a complaint to Better Business Bureau, the attorney general, FTC for fraud and to Toyota headquarters for breached of the binding contract, lies, fraud, scam and to caused me negative impact on my credit score, headaches and stress not only to me but also to my whole family! Somebody needs to be held accountable for the worst car buying experience ever! Unethical, unacceptable, unprofessional, the worst customer service, they would cuss, lie, call you names, and overall a scam business. So, on September 10th, visited the dealership twice, I was on the market for a 22 Tacoma trd sport lunar rock.. I contracted a deal, both parties agreed on the selling price, monthly payments, and signed the contract and most importantly PUT A DEPOSIT DOWN TO RESERVE THE TRUCK!! Promised that the truck will get here in between 9/14-20th. Waited patiently, then called every single day to confirm the status of the truck then everytime I call, the dealership will give me all the excuses in the book on how this person is not available, the sales person, Isaiah K, Husain, and the sales manager, Abe, (Don’t get me started with [non-permissible content removed] .. this guy was the most unprofessional sales manager I’ve ever dealt with. to say the least!) then every time I would call, I would get lies after lies after lies about the status of the truck..Then I found out and saw the truck on the lot and was told that it was SOLD TO SOMEONE ELSE! After putting a big amount of deposit down and signed a contract. THEY WOULD JUST LIE AND SAY THAT THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT HAPPENED! UNSURE WHAT HAPPENED TO MY CONTRACT, THEY MIGHT’VE MISTAKENLY MISPLACED THE CONTRACT SOMEWHERE AND HAS THE NERVE TO SAY THAT IM LUCKY THAT THE THEY “TOUCHED” MY FILES AND CALLED ME TO INFORM THAT THE TRUCK IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO WAIT FOR ANOTHER WEEK OR SO AFTER WAITING TWO TO THREE WEEKS FOR THE TRUCK!JUST TERRIBLE BUSINESS AND VERY UNETHICAL!. UNACCEPTABLE!! And in addition, I also have been approved for a $39k loan for the vin number trd sport Tacoma that I don’t even have in my possession. THEY WOULD also pull 2 different credit hard inquiries during the process at the time of contract signing. Then few days later, on the 28th, when asking to get my money refunded, they would press me to keep my deposit and won’t try to get my money back.. however, after pressing and stating that I’ve filed a complaint BBB, then after, they decide to refund the money back.. however, in addition to their scamming and fraudulent actions… they also pulled ANOTHER HARD CREDIT INQUIRY WITHOUT MY PERMISSION on 9/28. Furthermore, to shady, scamming, illegal and unethical ways of doing business with this dealership, they won’t give me any forms of copies of all the signed documents that I made.. Also, they’ve called and left voice messages from their car sales director/sales manager regarding trying to resolve the issue by lowering the agreed upon monthly payments from $390/month for a Toyota Tacoma trd sport lunar rock MSRP/sticker selling price of $41,357 to $369/month again just to resolve the issue after the fact.. The sales person admitted that they were wrong for doing this kind of business and that he’s innocent and that he does not have any control of what his bosses are doing and how the people behind the desk are running their business! It’s Just unbelievable! I endEd up not pursuing any business with this dealership! The only great thing that came out of this experience that I’ve learned to speak up and report and filed complaints to the right bureaus, outlets, social and local media sources so consumers/buyers like myself that have gone through similar experiences like myself are heard!! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY NOT RIGHT AND UNACCEPTABLE!! We all understand what the world is going through right now and how today’s market is upside down.. but this does not mean Toyota universe and many other dealerships like this one have the right to steal money, scam people, take advantage of the situation! And take fraudulent actions!

Buyer Beware

Buyers Beware! This is my personal experience: I contacted Toyota Universe on Rt. 46 in Little Falls, looking for a specific model vehicle with specific trim and external and interior color. The sales agent I spoke to over the phone scheduled a time for my family and I to come in and buy the vehicle. Upon arrival from the facility rear entrance, one you get through the raised gate, you are directed into a field of traffic cones with no visible direction of where to go, there are probably more cones in this lot than almost ever NJDMV driving lot combined. After we went from one end of the lot and back towards the entrance, we just moved some cones and parked, At the entrance, we provided our POC and appointment to which we couldn’t find, until I gave her my number, we were greeted by the dealer originally on the phone, but she said she was in a meeting (during a scheduled time for us to show), so she passed us to a sales person. At this time, my family and I did not feel comfortable with the situation at all. We were provide an appointment to which we were just passed around to someone else. I again provided my information and DL, upon his return, he introduced us to his manager (3rd sales person), she explained that the vehicle in question is actually not on site in contrary to what we were originally told. I explained that this was not what we originally discussed and explicitly requested to confirm the vehicle being on site. She said, we would be buying a vehicle not yet delivered. We were given no clear information as to why we drove out to the dealership for an appointment to meet with a salesperson who was busy and a vehicle not present. We were given no explanation other than a blank expression on the Manager’s face while the second sales person was laughing behind her. We immediately left. To me, this felt like a Dalit and switch situation. Where they pass customers around as a sales tactic to wear and confuse them. In my opinion, this dealership embodies the quintessential definition of a sleepy car dealership. I would not trust anything they say and would highly recommend that no one put themselves in this kind of situation thinking it’s acceptable. The overall experience and complete lack of trust that I felt in that environment and with those salesman is the exact situation you would find yourself in a nightmare situation. Worst car buying experience of my life. I’d advise you to save yourself some stress and go somewhere else.

I was going from dealer to dealer looking for a 22 Highlander XLE without any success. My cousin bought a car at Toyota Universe a few years back and told me it was a good dealership to check out. I stopped by on Good Friday assuming it would be empty and got greeted by a young lady at the reception and handed over to Daniel. Dude gave me the rundown on the chip shortage and explained why I was having a hard time. Instead of the typical “place a deposit” script i had been getting, he actually had one coming in and we signed off a deal that same day. My car actually came in this morning and I was able to take it home already. Smooth process and I like that you can start your car through the App since employee parking is far from my office at work. I recommend the store but more so Dan. Just a honest guy who knows what he’s talking about.

Do Not Waste your time....

Do not waste your time with this dealership......they lie about the sales prices of their vehicles on their site and when you get to the dealership they add on "Market Value" (a new one ro me) and inflate the selling price. Just a "BS" gimmick solely to get you in the door....a real shady way to run a business.

Misleading Customers! Hard to get deposit back

We made a reservation last November 2021 for Toyota Sienna XLE. The agent told me to put a $500 down to secure the car as there is a car coming in 2 weeks, and guaranteed me that will be given within msrp. After a month of waiting, i rang the agent which should be the one to let me know the car is there and told me they are not selling anything less than above $7,500 above msrp which they called adjusted market price due to chip shortage. Which cost like a Lexus instead of me buying a Toyota. I requested for my deposit back, and told me several times it is in process to their accounting. I had no patience going to dealer and just disputed to my credit card company. Stay Away from this Conny Dealership.

A RAV4 $43,000 COST ME $51,000 EVEN WITH DEPOSIT $9,000 HOW?

On 03-08-22 I bought a Rav4 Prime at this dealership.The Window sticker price which I still have, displayed $43,000.I traded my Tacoma which I had about $10,000 left over after payoff.This will add to down-payment on new vehicle. Salesman Josie explained to me that the sticker price plus taxes fees etc wil be my cost, I agreed and understood that.He never explained or informed me about window sticker price will be jacked up to $51,000.If he did I would not have purchased vehicle. When he gave me paperwork to signed it was folded so I could not see changes he made.I really trusted him, I didn't realize he would be so unscrupulous and deceitful.I came straight from work and was very tired working construction. Therefore when signing unending documents I just signed away. Next day I browsed through paperwork only to discover that I was cheated and robbed I have never felt so sad in my life, all because I wanted to trust someone to do the right thing. This is what I discovered. A $43,000 vehicle cost me $51,000 also my $9,000 plus from Tacoma disappeared. Also I have a credit rating of 796 and my interest rate was 5.99% UNBELIEVABLE!!!!???...I returned to dealership the next day Josie wasn't there. I spoke to a manager and finance guy and asked them to explain to me what happened here...The manager replied if I didn't read the paper work I told him no, he said the deal is done...WOW it's that simple...I left very disappointed and downhearted, I couldn't believe multimillion dollar business like these take advantage of people like this...I will never buy another vehicle here or RECOMMEND ANYONE to. And I will be taking legal action to retrieve my monies plus lawyer fees...And I will be contacting TV stations exposing this dealership and it will be seen by everyone...Be careful with these unscrupulous business...

Eva Abdul went above and beyond

We purchased the Rav4 from Eva this past Saturday and she made the entire experience as seamless and fluid as possible. She was transparent, knowledgeable, and welcoming from the beginning. Eva understood our situation and worked with us to find a fair price for the vehicle. She ensured we were drove away with our vehicle satisfied. We had to return the following Monday for paperwork related issues and even though Eva was with another customer, she made sure to check in on us from time to time. She helped us get the paperwork sorted out in a timely manner and answered all the questions we had- directing us to the right people if she did not have answers. Eva went above and beyond both days, staying late to ensure all the little wrinkles were ironed out as to minimize our waiting time. She went above and beyond and we sincerely hope that more customers will be able to experience the excellent service she provides.
