onJust bought the car less ten two days ago. Will leave an car review in the near future on the car. As for the dealership, nothing but a good and pleasing experience. We went armed with three months of research n three other car makes n five cars test driven under our belts. We were knew what we wanted and what we where ready to pay for. We test drove a 2013 Mazda 3 I Grand Touring that we looked at on a Sunday afternoon back in July, Dealerships are closed on Sundays in New Jersey. ;-) we were approached by two sales persons, but said we were looking. We made sure the car I was interested in was still there. We went into the temporary showroom and where welcomed by the GM Leo and we asked to test drive a car, Leo introduced us to Jim who would be our salesperson. I said to Jim that I wanted to test a particular car, he was very welcoming and friendly. I asked if it was okay to take it on a good ride down the back road and onto the hwy n he said of course, since the car has great mileage we could drive all day if we wanted! We took it out for a good half hour, as I drove my hubby and Jim discussed the many great attributes of the car n I just enjoyed the zoom, zoom drive. :-D
We went back to,the showroom, and while Jim parked the car. Hubby n I discussed it and decided it was perfect for me n him. We knew it TMV n what we wanted for our 2001 Xterra, we went back n forth only a bit on the price of the new car n Jim went a tad below on the TMV. Now as for the trade, they offered a really low amt n I got a bit pissed n counter offered. They went up a bit n I said well you will have to go down more on the car then or we will take our car elsewhere to sell. Jim's manager came back with a more agreeable offer for the trade n we shook hands on it.
After running to the bank to get a bank check and stopping at home to empty out our Xterra, we went back to close the sale. The entire test drive n dealing process and closing on the sale took about five hours. Time well spent at a dealership that we had read in reviews was not buyer friendly, well they were the day we visited them.
A very good and rewarding experience, Jim knew his product and made the entire process pleasant. Just goes to show if you do your homework n study up on your subject you will be rewarded!
