New 2019 Honda Ridgeline

by omahaj on 08/03/2018

I have been looking at information, ratings and costs of various models of the 2019 Honda Ridgeline for some time before stopping at O'Daniel Honda where I met Peter Boll, Product Specialist. Peter told me what that had on the lot and what was being ordered for delivery in a few weeks. One scheduled for delivery met our needs and we proceeded to do the paper work for purchase. Everything went very smooth. Peter keep us informed as to when the Ridgeline was to be delivered. When delivered and the paper work done, Peter went through all the controls, bells, whistles etc., and answered any questions we had before sending us off and thanking us for our purchase. Peter also makes follow up calls to see how everything is going. The whole staff at O'Daniel Honda was easy to work with. Joe Brincks did an excellent job of going over what accessories we may like to have installed for our midwest weather and our life style. Joe P

A good experience

by Thehuskervert on 09/18/2017

No bad vibes from the purchase at all, the car I wanted was located in transit and rerouted to Omaha. Deal on Monday, picked it up on Friday. Highly recommend salesman Ray Salinas, no pressure, and informative.

Very shady dealership

by Mianfmly on 01/07/2017

After providing a hefty deposit and driving over 100 miles to view and purchase a vehicle at O'Daniel Honda, we were called just 5 minutes prior to arriving at O'Daniel Honda and informed that the car had been sold to another party. They were well aware that we were coming from a distance and had already promised the vehicle to us and taken a deposit. This is a sign of a very shady and desperate dealership, one in which we will certainly never consider doing business with in the future. Buyer beware, O'Daniel Honda clearly cares nothing for their customers. Don't let them waste your time!

Shady Dealer

by BIDIA123 on 09/13/2015

I responded to an internet listing of an used vehicle. I received an email and phone call almost immediately. He tried to get me to set a time to test drive. I received call the next around noon to which I said I would be there between 4-5PM. I showed up around 5 PM and greeted with a hand shake and then he rub his hands as if they had something on then. He went back to get keys and said he would pull the car around then came back with a key in his hand and said the car had sold earlier. Did not offer to see another vehicle nor a business card. Shady, underhanded [non-permissible content removed].

Buyer Beware

by mellottc on 06/25/2014

I purchased a 1 owner Honda CRV with the help of RJ. The day I picked up the vehicle it was raining. As I was finishing paperwork RJ took the car out to get everything moved for me. When I was done RJ and I were in the car working on Setting up my phone. As we were doing this some additional customers came in for RJ. I let him know we could work on the phone later and let him leave. As I was beginning to leave the parking lot I noticed there was only one key fob(I had not seen the keys or been told there was only one FOB at this point). I stopped and talked to RJ about it he looked for the key which was not there and told me he would check with the person who took the trade. The next day RJ called and said that the key was received and put on the desk of the person who took the trade but it was never inventoried and no one knows where it is but they would keep looking for it. After three days of looking I asked RJ what would they do if they can't find it. He told me he spoke with Jeremy(a sales manager) and that since I bought it "as is" they would do nothing. I asked RJ to have Jeremy call me and he never did. I sent an email to Matt detailing the issue and letting him know I could not recommend the dealership with this outstanding issue. After almost a week I followed up with Matt to see where the were. He said the three of them have been looking and have been unable to locate it. He continued to state they make every effort to deliver used cars with two keys even if one is only a valet (which I did receive). He said if they found it they would get to me. I responded to ask if he was telling me too bad on not getting a key their team lost and I received no response. This is the first time I have purchased from O'Daniel but it was the fourth time I had been in the dealership with mixed feelings. The feeling I have for o'Daniel is that they sold me a car but they are willing to never sell me a car again all over a $125 key. I will say if you purchase from them make sure you detail everything. Once the ink is dry they are not likely to be accommodating.

Good experience

by dannonebr on 08/08/2010

I purchased a new Honda Civic Si sedan from O-Daniel Honda and would like to report that the experience was exactly what I expected - swift transaction, professional treatment and fair pricing. Before I went to the dealer I did my home work and had a good idea on what kind of pricing I can expect to pay for the car and what my trade in was worth. In the end, my price for the car was about 5% below MSRP and the trade in was about what the online price estimators indicated what the trade in value would be. Of course I wish that I could have paid less for the car and got a better trade in offer, but most all Honda dealers are notorious for not dickering much on the MSRP and the particular car that I purchased was a popular and some-what sought after version. The dealer received the car only a few days prior to my purchase. They offered to hold the car with a small refundable deposit until I could drive 200 miles to test drive it even though there were other parties interested in it. When I arrived, I was greeted by Eric the salesman that I talked to on the phone. As soon as I arrived, I looked the car over breifly, it was driven off the show room floor and I drove it with the salesman for a 15 mile test drive. We dickered a bit on the price and I agreed to the sale and trade. I talked to the service department about some accessories, and they were extremely helpful and even though they offered to install the accessories, they offered to help me figure out how to install the accessories myself! Upon closing the deal with the final person that completes the contracts and such, I was not subjected to a pressure sale to buy an extended warranty and other added items, and was treated very well. The entire sales and service staff that I had contact with were very friendly, accommodating, professional and prompt. The dealer ship was very clean and modern. I was on my way home in my new car about two hours after I arrived.

Horrible dealer

by olos on 05/22/2008

Worst experience by far at a car dealership. Waited for an hour next to the car I wanted and no sales person ever came out to offer help. I did however see 3 salesmen staring at me through the showroom window. I ended up buying an Accord Coupe from Honda Bellevue.

Ok Experience, but why all of the tricks?

by darinj on 04/08/2008

1. The salesman told me there wouldn't be any hidden fees, but they still tried to hit me with a 99 dollar documentation fee. I told them I'd leave before I paid it and they "lowered" the price of the vehicle 99 dollars. 2. Hondas don't come with mats so I told them I'd buy them and to throw them in the vehicle for me when I came to pick up the car. They tried to charge me nearly 100 dollars to install mats. No really, it's true, almost 100 bucks to put in floor mats and the big mat in the hatchback. Ridiculous. I didn't pay that either. 3. I told salesperson that I wanted to bring in a cashier's check and leave with the car in 30 minutes. It took an hour, and while it's not the longest it's ever taken me to buy a car, I really didn't need the finance guy and the manager guy tag-team BS about the fictitious documentation fee and the outrageous mat install. 4. Good salesman, and a clean dealership, but they need to update their silly tactics. 5. I paid 67 dollars over the "optimal" price listed on internet sites and I am happy with the deal, but I had to stick up for myself and be much more aggressive than I felt was necessary.

O'Daniel Honda, Omaha, NE: The right Fit 4 Me

by fitisgo on 03/30/2008

3/10/2008 bought a new 08 Honda Fit Sport 5AT in Milano Red. MSRP is $16705; invoice is $16123. I paid $16167 and NO "documentation fee." Price does not include 7% NE sales tax, NE Property Tax, title/license/registration, which are all paid at your local county DMV office anyway. The Internet Dept salesperson was outstanding, the vehicle in desired color was on hand, I came in and took delivery in about 30 min (fastest ever). Delivered vehicle was clean, defect-free, am driving it as a commuter car to/from work, first 2 fill-ups average MPG was 32.3. Price paid was lowest offer of 5 Honda dealers I solicited bids from via their websites - each dealer got 1 shot at it and did not know any of the other offers, so it was a fair comparison. Highest price quoted was $16,594; documentation fees ranged from $0 to $199. Paid cash, no financing, no trade-in vehicle.
