Van Cadillac

I paid for an oil change at Van Chevrolet that later ended up costing me $694.01 for a new oil pan. Van Chevrolet would not acknowledge or accept responsibility for damaging my oil pan at all. Another dealership documented that the oil plug had been cross-threaded and shoved up into the oil pan. I wanted the cost of the new oil pan and labor to put it in reimbursed in full; they only offered to give me half. I did not accept that at all because I felt that they were buying my silence. Furthermore, when GM corporate headquarters was contacted, they emphasized, however, since it was not a GM workmanship issue, I was left to the mercy of Van Chevrolet. It appears that GM corporate headquarters did not want to get involved. It is really sad that the consumer is left to the mercy of less-than-honest businesses. No one wants to take responsibility for their own actions these days. I will NEVER buy another GM product. I give no stars!
