Best sales experience ever!
by DAY3491 on 06/18/2015Lloyd White at Minneapolis Jaguar Land Rover provided the best sales experience ever when purchasing my new RR Evoque!Total Customer Focus
by steve1ee on 04/08/2015All the staff at Land Rover Minneapolis were helpful, responsive, flexible and singularly focused on helping my wife and I find the perfect vehicle, get a fair trade in value and find attractive financing options. We could not recommend a… dealership more highly!Joe & Vicky's experience with Range Rover
by vicky60 on 11/18/2014Great salesmen, very knowledgeable about what he was selling, and what we were interested in buying. Didn't knock the competition's product. He compaired the differences between the Range Rover and the other SUV in that same class. Best of… all there was no pressure to buy. However, there was a limited number of new SUV's to choose from because of popular demand. We were lucky and they had exactly what we were looking for.Horrible experience - treated terribly by everyone up to Luther mgmt
by lande on 07/22/2007I've been looking at cars for a number of months. One of my favorites have always been Jags. The Mrs and I decided to take the XJ for a test drive. We were greeted politely by a Rover saleman who told us he would get a Jag salesman. The… Jag salesman was not as interested. It took me FOUR times of mentioning I wanted to take a 2004 XJ8 test drive before he would acknowledge it. He ws a little rude in the car when I asked him questions. Also, the test drive was only about 5 minutes up and down the interstate. When we got back I said I wanted to try an older XJ to see the difference between the older models and the update that started in 2004 - the one we just drove. He said, "are you interested now or not, because we are short handed and I don't want to waste my time." This is seriously what he said!!! Now, let me be clear. The Mrs. and I are cleancut decent looking people. We earn into the six figures and can easily afford the car. We also were not rude in any way. I didn't see any customers on the lot and when we went inside there were no customers there either. Just salespeople standing around. We were both insulted and asked to see the general manager - Michael Jensen. He bascially told us it was our fault for misunderstanding the salesman and they have "never" had any trouble ever before. As a salesperson, I can tell you he used all the usual uncaring lines that I have come to know having been in the business. He also tried to use the "you are insulting me" routine that salespeople try to use to disarm unhappy customers. I knew that nothing would come of this and just basically sat there waiting to leave. I later found out this is a Rudy Luther dealership, that ironically, we bought our RAV4 at one of their Toyota dealers. I decided to contact the "director of operations" and after letting us stew for a day, all I got was a "what do yo want me to do" "it's your word against his" routine. Then he proceeded to try to sell me. Insulting to say the least. So there you go. If we were treated this way before buying, I can't imagine what service would be like later. Jags already have a questionable quality level, you'd think they would be happy to see us. THe Lexus dealer is right down the road. That's actually what I would expect the Salesman to say. You would HAVE to have BEEN THERE to make the assumptions you are making. Were you there? Would you NOW admit that you were there? One rule in salesmanship is not to attack the customer, even if they complain. It would have been much better to apologize for the bad experience and try to relate that this is not the normal treatment. Then you will definitely make everyone aware of what happened and try to do better next time.
Smile upside down? Less muscles to smile? Sounds like you were there? or do you work there. They are "da bomb"? You sound like a bad car salesman. Do you wear a gold chain necklace too? Your post says it all.
Maybe the Mr. and the Mrs. need to check on their rudeness level. I have bought 4 cars from this dealership and has given many referrals. We have all been treated like royalty-I guess we don't ask for unnecessary test drives-we know what we want and since I also make 6 figures, I just buy it. Being in sales, Mr. should know it's not kind to waste the salesperson's time. Mr. Michael Jensen has been wonderful in his 20 years at this dealership and I often stop in to say hi when I'm there for service. Maybe Mr. and Mrs. need to be friendly and give a smile instead of a frown. You know it takes less muscles to smile! Anyhoo, the best two salespeople that I have dealt with are Jim Jensen an Lloyd White. They are the "bomb"! They really go the extra mile-and will continue to have my business for as long as I purchase jags!
Theresa and Dean were Great!
by Dannyl60 on 05/24/2014updated 07/08/2025I recently purchase an LR2 from Jag Land Rover Mpls and Theresa. By the way, this is the 4th car from Theresa, 2 Jags and 2 Land Rovers. Each and every time it is an enjoyable experience. As we all hate the back and forth hassle of car… buying, it has yet to happen to me with each buying experience being very positive. Once the deal was done, going through the finance process with Dean was like sitting in a friends office talking about life, no pressure to buy extras, but discussion the pros and cons of each. BTW, I stop in almost every other week to wash my car, have a cup of coffee ....and brouse. Never know what will be next...
