Danielle Nelson Your Go-To

Danielle Nelson did an excellent job. When I first met with her, I just wanted all the details in purchasing an car and what would an payment look like. She was very transparent, which I liked. Very helpful. She also introduced me to leasing which I’ve never done before. I’m extremely happy with her and the car, also my experience with her. 5 stars across the board.

I got a flat tire and had no appointment and took my car in and they fixed me right up. Ray was wonderful and very helpful!

Bowman Chevrolet Incompetent Tech and Backed Out of Commitment

Went into the dealer for a track alignment and provided dealer with the specifications from the cars owners manual. They said the could do it. Once the tech got the car on the rack, he said he could only get the front suspension to -1.5 degrees. Specs called for -2 degrees. They charged me $211 and I left. I went to another Chevrolet dealer the next day and they had no problem aligning the car to spec. I returned to Bowman and spoke with Jesse Colvin, service manager, who agreed to refund my money. He told me to stop by at the end if the week to pick up a check. The day before I was supposed to pick up my check, he called to back out of his commitment to reimburse me. He said he would pay me $100. Bottom line is that they couldn’t align the car to spec is that their tech was not properly trained. I took my car to a Chevrolet dealer with the expectation that their techs were properly trained to work on Chevrolet cars. Apparently that is not the case with Bowman Chevrolet.

After pulling into the dealership I had to stand there for about 10 minutes before anyone approached me for service. Someone should have acknowledged I was there and said we will be with you shortly.

Bowman for the win

I have bought a lot of vehicles, and recommended people to this dealer who ended up buying a vehicle, but it wasn't based upon sales experience, it's been based on service experience. Customers spend an hour or two in the showroom, but the vehicle spends the rest of its life with the service department. That should say it all.

2008 Silverado 3500

I purchased my truck in March 2008 from Bowman. I took the truck in for a recall and a couple of trim pieces had fallen off. I dropped the truck off on 11-13-08. I gave them a list of things that needed work (5 items) they called me on the following day and said the temp sensor was bad and on backorder. I inquired about the other problems and they had forgotten them. No word for a week. I called on Thursday 11-20 and the service guy had taken a vacation and nobody new my status but a clerk look at and thought they might still be waiting on parts. Called the next day and nobody new my status again, i spoke with another service person who said my guy is still on vacation and is due back the middle of next week and he would be the guy to speak with. At this point I became irate I told them I need my truck and that i do not have a loner car. He then said he would ask around and see what he could find out. He called back an hour later an said everthing was fixed and so I went down the list and they had again forgotten all the items on the list. The main item was a headrest dvd player. I bought the dvd player from GM and installed myself and was issued a 12 month guarantee on parts. They promptly told me it was after market part and i said no it is a gm part. At that point they said they have to call me back again. The serviceman called back in an hour and said it was a in fact GM part but could not warranty it because they felt it was out of its 12 month warranty. I replied that I bought the truck in march of 2008 how in the world could anything on it be over 8 months. I bought the extended warranty and paid cash for this truck and was very patient with Bowman but in light of this event I will never buy a gm product again as long as i live.
