Mad dash to the deal: by lzr on Mon Aug 31 05:23:45 PDT 2009; Despite my ignorance of the $10K rebate, I still managed to buy a 2009 GL320 Bluetec last weekend. However, it was a mad dash to the end. Took the spouse to a nearby dealer for a fourth look. Spouse agreed, and the dealer offered me an awesome price if he could find a car. The dealer called 17+ MB dealers over the course of 2 days and couldn't find a thing. Nobody was doing the dealer trade. I called the MB dealer in St. Petersburg, FL, whom I had dealt with a month ago; they didn't have a car but gave me lots of leads to follow on my own. [BTW, those in the market should call that saleswoman; she was extremely helpful.] I called all over the country and kept finding the same thing: the white/tan models I saw listed as "new," were in fact "punched" -- demos which had been put into service 9-10 months ago and had XXXX miles on them. None of them qualified for the $10K. Something prompted me to go through the list of Florida dealers again. I found a white/tan 320 in Fort Pierce, FL. I called them late Thursday night; theirs had been "punched erroneously". They would try to get authorization from MBUSA to apply the incentive. They called back Friday afternoon with the authorization and a mediocre price. I leaned on them to do better, and they came down a bit. We drove up there Saturday morning and picked up the car. They lowballed me on my trade, as expected. My deal: 2009 MB GL320 Bluetec Artic White with cashmere MB-Tex interior Premium 1 package Rear seat entertainment system Trailer hitch MSRP = $68055 Sale price = $57300

I almost acquired my new 2009 E350 from her, but found a local dealership who had my second choice and after some arm-twisting, agreed to my price or MSRP less 15,000 (this is in July 2009 and before fleet discount). Re: deal i signed for 2009 e350 [sunofny99]: by arod4 on Sun Aug 02 20:43:04 PDT 2009; sunofny99 thanks. i got my car in florida. i live in south florida but couldnt find any dealers here willing to do this deal..in fact all the shady sales people here told me it was a lie that it couldnt be done... anyhow, someone on edmunds recommended a ft.pierce, fl dealership and they were able to come through for me. (ft. pierce is about 2 hr drive from miami)....car is actually getting shipped from texas... inventory super low out here.. hope to get it mon or tuesday. by the way, i think we were both able to get good deals b/c it was end of month...they are way more motivated to meet their numbers.. happy driving!

E350 Rear Wheel Drive Sport w/ P1 pkg MSRP was $57K Can you send me the dealer you are working with. I am in FL twice a month...

The inventory is thin with most of the popular combos gone - I know because I am looking. The highest I saw was MSRP less 15,000 in Naples, FL with the other side of FL in Ft. Pierce less 18,000, but their inventory levels were very thin. Enjoy the car!

They are offering $7000 cash back on a 320 purchased from their stock before July 31, 2009. This is a pretty good deal. However, they have only two in stock, and they are *fully loaded* black-on-black vehicles ... kind of hot for South Florida. Take a look at herefor more information.
