They went the extra mile(s).

by cltatpbd on 11/01/2016

Just leased a 2017 Mazda6 from Liberty. They went the extra mile by arranging a trade with another Mazda dealer to get the sand color interior that we preferred. Everybody there was genuinely concerned with making us satisfied, with special kudos to Jim Samson, out salesperson. Looking forward to a continuing relationship with Liberty Mazda.

Excellent service provided by Fridrik Fridriksson

by jhsingleton on 05/24/2016

The test drive, sales, discussing options and determining the best finance option during the buying of a new car was professional and with no pressure. Fridrik Fridriksson is very knowledgable about the vehicle and the financing options available. He was very good about answering questions directly during and after the test drive. The vehicle was delivered on time and with the options agreed to installed and fully working. An overall positive car buying experience.

Good Service

by CBorges12 on 03/07/2016

Recently converted a lease on a CX9 to a buy, was well received by Salesman (Fridrick) who answered all my questions and gave me a good financing solution without any pressure (which I appreciated). I had NO issues during my lease and my Mazda has given me no issues at all, thus the decision to buy.

Liberty Mazda is Awesome

by dk55555 on 11/30/2015

First, a little history of my experiences with Liberty Mazda in Wakefield... My household has purchased five vehicles from them in the last eight years. I love Mazda autos and I would never consider shopping anywhere else! My most recent purchase was at the beginning of November. I always work with Robert Everett...an outstanding professional! He knows exactly what I want and need in a car because he is a great listener, he makes me feel confident and comfortable during the entire process of purchasing a car which can be a trying experience. He has an incredible knowledge of the product and always makes sure I am well informed throughout the process. Because of Robert and the excellent team he works with purchasing a car is totally stress free and enjoyable...and I love driving my new 2016 Mazda 6 Sedan!

Robert Everett Car Buying Experience

by BMKReviews on 11/30/2015

I recently purchased a 2015 Mazda CX-5 from Robert Everett. This was my third purchase from Liberty Mazda in Wakefield, MA over many years. This is my second purchase from Robert directly. I have thoroughly enjoyed my buying experiences with Robert over the years as he knows his customers needs/wants and matched me to the perfect car. He is very pleasant to talk with and Robert knows all the details about the cars he sells. He was able to answer all my questions about the vehicle both about the parts under the hood and all the accessories that the car came equipped with. He always did outstanding at delivery time sitting with me in the car and explaining how everything works down to the settings in the car, all the functions and basic information. I have and will continue to recommend Robert Everett to people looking to purchase a Mazda vehicle. I lived in Massachusetts when I purchased my first car from Robert and moved to Maine 3 years ago. I still went to Robert and Liberty Mazda to purchase my vehicle. He made the process extremely easy and worked with me and the Finance Dept. to make this purchase possible. He will definitely be getting more business references from me. The whole team at Mazda is terrific. My mom and I both purchased several vehicles from them over the years and we always leaving leave there with such a positive outcome and experience. Thank you as always Robert for your professionalism, your time and caring.

thanks Al

by thanksAl on 11/29/2015

I enjoyed working with Al Blank when buying my new CX-3. He was more than helpful answering all of my questions and putting up with my indecisions at times. I mean who moves two cars together so you can compare the colors and since it was at night, he made sure they were right under the lights. Al--thanks for all of your help in making my car purchase go so smoothly !!! --CB

Liberty Mazda is just awesome

by ronzo8 on 01/19/2015

We gave 2 Mazda dealerships the chance to earn our business. Liberty Mazda came through as the best choice and deal for us. The deal was coming unhinged because of our credit score but Liberty Mazda stepped in to help us even more. I can't say enough about how the Liberty Mazda team came though for us. From Robert Everett, our sales manager, to Joe Trocha in the business office. We are very happy we chose Liberty Mazda

Love my CX9

by skizoom on 08/15/2013

Great experience. We looked at a number of different car makes and found Mazda to be the best value for what we were looking for. We were loyal Toyota owners for 30 years and never expected that we would end up with a Mazda outperforming Toyota. The CX 9 is far above the Highlander in comfort, convenience and overall value. We were very happy with the much better purchasing experience we had with Chuck at Liberty Mazda. The negotiation process was very fair and painless from previous experiences at other dealerships. 5 months later we love our Mazda CX 9 and are very pleased we purchased it.

A great car at a great price!

by lizlubee on 03/16/2013

I recently purchased a new Mazda CX5 from Liberty Mazda and was very happy with the overall experience. I am a very tough customer and do my "homework" long before I arrive at a dealership. I know what I want, and what I want to pay for it. Robert and Joe (the general mgr.) worked together to get me the car I wanted at a price I felt was fair. Highly recommended!

Says one thing, does another!

by smcin on 06/21/2012

Yet another car dealer who says one thing and does another. After coming off of a bad experience with a Hyundai dealer I looked at a 2011 Mazda 6 at Liberty Mazda. The sales person I worked with was nice and took me for a test drive. I let him know there was another Mazda 6 at a different dealership that I was also interested in and he asked what deal he would need to offer me to earn my business that night. I told him, he wrote it down on paper, had me sign it, took it to his business manager, came back, shook my hand and said "congratulations". I filled out the paperwork, went back and met with the business manager who said he had all my info, would speak to the bank the next day (it was just before closing) and would call if anything went wrong. No call from them the next day about the financing, but I spoke with the sales manager to tell him I'd let my insurance company know I was trading my car in and that I'd pick the Mazda up that night. When I walked into the dealership and sat down to do the paperwork a completely different number was on the form. I explained to the business manager that the only reason I'd agreed to purchase from them was because of the deal I had been offered; otherwise I would have looked at the other car I had been interested in before making a decision. He simply said "well I don't know what this person said, but..." and tried to convince me to take the higher price. After a lot of back and forth about how I'd been brought there under false pretenses and based on a deal that was apparently a lie, he came down on the price to close to what I wanted but enough that I would've decided it wasn't worth looking at the other car. I left with out a new car!!! Why do these dealers lie?!?!

Avoid like the plague!

by nkw4u on 09/07/2011

Bought a "Mazda Certified" 2008 CX-7 at Liberty on Wednesday, 2/16/2011. It had about 50K miles on it, the last owner was a smoker and the car needed a little work (burn hole in seat, cigarette and deodorant smell, general cleaning, replacement reflector). They assured us that we would have our car all set for pick up the next day, so in the meatime gave us a loaner (Mazda 3 sedan) that was FILTHY both outside and inside: we encountered dust, spill stains, garbage and dog hair in the cabin; shoes, pants, towels, etc. in the trunk. Furthermore, the loaner had less than a tank of gasoline! At ~4pm the following evening (Friday), when I was excited to pick up our 'new' vehicle, I was called by Liberty and told that another 24 hours would be needed to fully remove the smell, but everything else was ready. I was somewhat disappointed, but we found that this was acceptable because we thought Liberty Mazda was just trying to give the best service possible. When I came to pick up the vehicle about 48 hours after purchase, I was SORELY disappointed to find the following problems: - No inspection sticker - Sub-par upholstery work - Vehicle looked like it had been merely rinsed on the outside - Interior still smelled and was not thoroughly cleaned I swallowed my pride on these issues just to have my 'new' vehicle on the road, however upon driving away, BLUE SMOKE SHOT OUT OF THE TAILPIPES! I spun the car around, and as politely as I could without screaming, described my concern about how a "Mazda Certified" vehicle could be uninspected, smelly, dirty and somehow burning oil before I had even touched it. Someone there told me everything would be taken care of, and the CX-7 would be delivered to me with a full tank. YAY! So I drove all the way to Wakefield in my filthy loaner for nothing. On Sunday (2/20/2011), I finally got a phone call from Liberty and they said they had tried to contact me on Saturday, which was [violative content deleted], because I was waiting for that call. They apologized for the delay but had no good excuse. They went on to describe the service and work that was going to be done to the car and that Liberty Mazda would be happy to provide me with some accessories and a Gold Membership. Again, I swallowed my anger (because what I really wanted was the car we paid for) and I said that would be nice but I'd have to talk with my wife about what we'd want. He left me feeling secure that I'd hear from him on Tuesday morning with some good news. On Tuesday afternoon (2/22/2011) I texted the contact at Liberty to ask about updates on the CX-7, since we obviously weren't their highest priority. His responses: 2:20pm "Yes I will get back to u shortly, in a meeting, thanks". 3:35pm "We are looking at Thursday, Friday the latest, part is ordered." So, six days after we paid ~$18,000 for a Certified 2008 Mazda CX-7, all we had was a filthy loaner car and a couple of text messages to show for it! I wrote the general manager a very descriptive and passionate email describing my disappointments, but I never heard back from him. I did get a call from one of the higher sales members and he apologized for the delay, but said that these things happen and there was little he could do! I got him to pay for my first payment on the loan (~$260), and throw in some all weather floor mats, but that was about as much as they would do. Finally, on Friday 2/25/2011, NINE DAYS after buying this vehicle, they dropped it off at my job (Cambridge) with less than a half talk of gas. The interior still smelled gross, and it still hadn't been vacuumed, and the best part: it smelled like burned oil when idleing after a long drive. The same sales guy called me to see if everything was fine, but I was so fed up with these guys that I just said yes. In the months since then, the oil smell has decreased, but I did find wads of DRIER SHEETS stuck up under the seat and in the air filter!!! Just yesterday (9/6/2011), less than 10K miles later, I went to the Mazda dealership in Wellesley, and I had to pay ~$500 dollars for new front brakes and rotors. This was *surprising* because the 150 point inspection for Mazda Certified vehicles requires that brake pads and shoes be replaced if wear is greater than 50%. These guys are [violative content deleted] and will [violative content deleted] at every opportunity. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM.

An indifferent and non-responsive business manager causes BIG hassle

by amazer on 07/02/2008

I recently bought a used Mazda3 from these guys. The car was in basically good shape and the Liberty sales staff said they had given it a 120-point or whatever inspection. When I picked it up, it had something like 2 quarts oif gas in it-- the low fuel light was on, so I made fast for a gas station. When I popped the fuel filler door, I could see that the gas cap had disintegrated into two pieces-- the gripper handle and the part that threads into the filler spout. By squeezing hard on the part in the spout I was able to screw it out and top up my gas tank. When I got back home in southern NH, I picked up a new gas cap at the local dealer for $53. (Mazda3 gas caps are simply unavailable elsewhere) OK, so that was a bit of a rip, but the plot thickens. First, the business manager at Liberty, Vinnie, forgot to give me the title with the bill of sale. When I went to register the car, the clerk told me I needed the title. I had to call the dealer several times to get them to mail me the title. The sales manager (Larry) did try to be helpful, but the business manager, Vinnie, NEVERreturned my calls. Larry eventually got back to me and said they found the title and would send it to me, which he did. I had asked Liberty make out the title to both me and my son, but a couple of days later my insurance company told me that to get the multi-car discount on our family policy, the car had to be titled to me alone. That meant that I had to get Liberty to fill out and send me a "Change of Title" form. I called the business manager, Vinnie at least 6 or 8 times, but he NEVER EVER called me back. I did reach Larry, who said he'd get Vinnie to fill out the form, but it still hasn't arrived and today is the last day we can use our temp plates. So now I have to drive an hour to Liberty and pick up the damn form myself in order to save $700 on our insurnace bill. Vinnie is amazingly non-reponsive for a business manager and I'm feeling very pissed off about Liberty's ineptness in doing this simple task. I offer these observations as a caveat to anyone thinking of doing business with Liberty. There are no doubt worse dealers out there. Overlooking a defective gas cap may be forgiveable, but Vinnie's contempt for Liberty's customers is not.
