Worse Experience Ever!!!!!!!

by freddyCT on 04/27/2017

Worse Experience Ever! Salesman: Daniel Scheehser The car wasn't inspected the way they said. Missing parts, running light burnt, engine oil at minimum, to name a few of the issues I encountered when I picked up my 2011 Audi A5. In addition, the salesman changed our agreement, and I ended up paying more than expected. I spoke with the General Manager, Michael Kuzdal, and he promised to take care of the matter. He never did nor did he call me. That is how Metro Jeep Chrysler in Chicopee MA, treats out-of-state customers. Very disappointed!

Great Car

by tahcigam on 03/26/2017

We had a great experience with Steve Longey for getting our new Chrysler 200S. He made things smooth and relaxing. He doesn't pressure you into things and gets you a fair price for your trade in. Thank you very much.

Steve Longey. True to his word, no high pressure tactics. Easy to work with when purchasing a vehicle. Friendly and professional. Would recommend if you’re in the market for a new or used car/suv.

Great experience

by chelton1 on 09/15/2015

We recently purchased a Challenger Hellcat from Steve Longey at Metro. Steve was professional, courteous, friendly, knowledgeable and not overly pushy. I typically hate going into dealerships but our experience this time was wonderful and we'll be back to see Steve for more cars in the future.

Get your Service Elsewhere.

by daigs on 03/19/2015

Had a rather pleasant buying experience here, they seem a little more honorable than most other dealerships in the Bertera chain. However their service department is useless. Nice. But useless. Brand new vehicle. Had to schedule 2 appointments to get a windshield wiper replaced. Nothing like "wow this is a safety hazard, lets get something on there so you can at least see". Nope. Pretty much got the "so long as you don't get killed by not being able to see by then, we'll have the part in 2 days". Then they put it on and forgot to take the plastic cover off it. Scary when a "tech" can't even change a wiper. Then I've got a faulty door switch. Got a call saying the part came in and scheduled an appointment a week out. Took a day off from work because of it and I get a call late in the afternoon the day before the appointment letting me the know that the part they told me was in really wasn't in and it would be another week. Wasting a day off because of this crap. These guys are worse than the cable company. JDPower just rated Dodge, Chrysler, Fiat, Jeep and Ram dealers at the bottom of their list for service. Metro just confirmed the findings of that survey were dead on. Taking my business elsewhere and I recommend that you do too.

Stay Far Away! Worst Experience Ever!

by carsnsuch1 on 12/10/2014

This was by far the WORST car buying experience I’ve ever had. Let me start at the beginning. My husband saw a used car online that he was interested in me test-driving that night. He called Metro Jeep to setup an appointment with a salesman named Pedro. We did that. A few hours later, my husband received a call from Pedro stating that the car was brought to another dealership and that he was trying to get the car back. We live over an hour away, so we wanted to know before driving to Metro whether we could test-drive the car that night. After multiple phone calls back and forth with Pedro, the car couldn’t be returned. Pedro talked us into driving up anyway to walk the lot and see what else was available, so we did that. I had a clear mind already of what I wanted and saw it on the lot (2010 Honda Accord EXL). So that part was easy. Negotiations went well and we settled on a final price with a 5 year loan. Next thing I know, we’re getting rushed to the finance guy to sign papers and Pedro was making sure we could take the car home that night, even though I told him there was no rush. Problem. We hadn’t even test-driven the car yet! When I told that to the finance man, he got upset and couldn’t believe that we hadn’t even driven it. At this point, it was after 8pm when they closed, so it was a quick test drive. Came back and Pedro made us make an appointment for the earliest time. The earliest we could do was two days later; Saturday at 1:00. That apparently wasn’t quick enough. Pedro kept asking us if we could get there earlier, and I said we could try and be there for 12:30. So he wrote the appointment down and set us on our way. I also confirmed that I did want to pick up the car on Saturday since we live an hour away. I explained that I didn’t want to drive up a third time. Pedro said that would be no problem. The next day, both my husband and I received separate voicemails from Pedro. He didn’t say on the voicemail what the news was – only that it was great news and he couldn’t wait to talk to us. When both my husband and I called him back separately, he told us both the same thing. Pedro said that I got a 2% interest rate and that my monthly payment would go from $250/month down to $226/month. I said that was great news and thanked him. I confirmed that I would be in the next day at 12:30. My husband and I drove up the next day for our 12:30 appointment. When we got there, Pedro was working with other customers. Fine. He said he would be right with us because we wanted to test-drive the car one more time in the daylight. We waited over 30 minutes before Pedro came back and said he would see if we were “allowed to test drive the car without him.” Ten minutes later, he finally came back and said we were given permission. Okay kindergarteners. Test drive time. It was fine and we drove back and were ready to take it home, except that there was a small dent that they were going to fix as well as replace a light bulb in the interior of the car. So I was going to have to drive back, but at least I would get the car. Or so I thought. Pedro didn’t get his paperwork together in time and I was told I would have to wait until Tuesday. Fine. In the meantime, Pedro very rudely rubbed it in our faces that Tuesday is his day off and that he would be coming in on his day off to “help us out.” Okay Pedro – maybe if you did your job in the first place, you wouldn’t have to come in on your day off. But whatever – they were also going to fix the car in the meantime, so all would be done on Tuesday. Also come to find out, that I did NOT get a 2% interest rate or a 5 year loan. That was a downright LIE. When I found out from the finance man that I did not get the 2% interest rate and asked where I got that information from, I immediately got upset and asked where Pedro was. When I got up to go find Pedro, the finance man said it was fine, and that he would just take the difference out of Pedro’s commission. Okay, works for me. Also turns out that the loan would be for 6 years. Signed the remaining paperwork and left. Tuesday comes around and my husband didn’t hear from Pedro all day. Guess what? Pedro never came in! My husband asked to speak to a manager and was transferred to Donovan. Donovan apologized for us on Pedro’s behalf. I told him that we were driving up today (Tuesday) to get the car and that I would make a separate trip to get the car fixed. Donovan said he would make sure to have everything ready. Tuesday night we drive up another hour to get this car, I was given the keys and drove away. I got home and guess what? No registration papers were in the car. I called back the following day and another apology. Seriously… is this everyone’s first day on the job? Donovan apologized and asked when I could come in and get my car fixed. I said that I am getting out of work early on Friday and that I wanted a 12:00 appointment to get the car fixed and pickup the registration. Donovan said no problem and scheduled that for me. Next day, Wednesday, I get a call from Pedro saying that they don’t fix dents on Friday and that he can’t accommodate me. What! I told him that I spoke with his manager Donovan and that he set it up, and maybe had Pedro come in on Tuesday like he said he was going to, I wouldn’t need this “special” appointment. I hung up with Pedro and called Donovan back who confirmed my appointment for Friday at 12:00. Then, 5 minutes later, Pedro called me back and said Friday was fine. Duh. Thursday, I get a voicemail from Pedro saying that he hopes I had a good experience at Metro Jeep. Are you kidding? And that’s exactly what I told him. Friday rolls around and I’m early for my 12:00 appointment. I walk to the service department and speak with a nice man named Orlando. I said I had a 12:00 appointment and guess what? You guessed it! They had no appointment for me! I explained that a manager named Donovan set up the appointment for me. Orlando looked at a fellow coworker and started laughing hysterically. Orlando said, “Donovan is not a manager.” What!!!!!!!!!!!!! I asked who he was and Orlando explained that he was just another salesman. Are.You.Kidding. Orlando ended up finding my appointment that was put in wrong (?) and took my car. They told me it would be 1-2 hours of wait time. In the meantime, I spoke with Donovan/Pedro’s manager (hopefully the real one) and told him everything that happened. He basically had nothing to offer me but a gas top off. Fine. I went to the waiting room to wait. 4.5 hours later my car was finally ready. This was extremely frustrating because they kept coming out to the waiting room starting two hours in, telling me it was only “going to be a few more minutes.” It apparently took 1.5 hours to rotate tires. I ended up speaking with one of the GMs and told him everything I had been though, and that I was currently missing my appointment to turn in my current vehicle, which was leased. Thanks to them, I missed that appointment. Finally, my car was ready. I get in the car and start to drive. Believe it or not, my story doesn’t end here. They broke the actuator in my door, meaning that my auto lock system and my keyless entry no longer worked. I actually received my car back in WORSE condition then when I started! Long story short (too late!), I told them that I was taking it to Manchester Honda to fix this and that they were going to pay. They couldn’t even argue w/ that and they agreed but only paid for one of the problems

Stay Away!!!!

by kenlanglais on 09/15/2014

Never again! For service it will be done in Northampton. I would not even bring my Jeep to them for service. Metro is part of Bertera Auto Group. Yes, I did buy a Jeep there but I had a choice of two, I was told buy "Greg" he could not locate another. Yet, after I bought this there other dealer ships had over thirty in stock! What a liar. Typical car dealer salesmanship. This dealership was on Boston Road in Springfield MA and had a horrendous reputation and I don't mean good. I bought a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. Mike Bertera offered me a new jeep over the issues I had but they still wanted to make money on me, I never heard back from Mike. In Short. Metro Auto Sales And Service/Bertera Auto Group left out there hanging

Communication is not something they are good at. Promises. Assurances. Yes, yes, yes. Sure, OK. Yup. Right away..... And nothing happens. This dealership has [non-permissible content removed]. They don't know whether to spit or pay-off in oatmeal.

Metro helps a stranded Jeep owner

by tps7 on 06/20/2013

Many thanks to Metro for their great service. Our Grand Cherokee began losing tire pressure on the Mass Pike and rolled to a stop (and a flat) inside their service bay. We were from out of town and were treated as loyal customers. Our appreciation to Patrick, Felicia, and Rafael who helped us out so much. They were good Samaritans to us!
