I had the pleasure of working with Ron recently to purchase a car and he was a delight to work with! From the moment I walked into the dealership, he greeted me with a friendly and welcoming attitude. He took his time to listen to my needs and preferences, and patiently answered all my questions. Most importantly, he never pressured me into making any decisions and allowed me to take my time to make the right choice for me--this is rare among sales agents at dealerships and I appreciated it. He has also been easy to reach since the purchase and he is always available to answer any questions I have (if I miss him, he calls back as soon as possible). In 1995, after graduating from college, I walked into a car dealership with a small down payment and a mission to purchase my first new car. I was greeted by this excited salesperson, ready to make my dreams come true. Her name was Karen Herbert, Honda Sales Rep. She spent hours with me ensuring my comfortability with my first adult purchase and even stayed with my after the dealership closed to teach me how to safely drive home my new manual Honda Accord. Yes, she has the patience to teach me how to drive a stick-shift at 9pm 😊. Fast forward 28 years later….December 23rd is my 50th birthday and I am in the mood to purchase my first new luxury SUV. As I searched online all the different BMW lots, I found exactly what I wanted. Only for my neighbor days later, to drive home and pull into her driveway with my hand picked SUV. She actually bought my vehicle without any knowledge. She felt so bad that she shared her Salespersons name with me and asked them to reach out to assist me in my purchase. Lord and behold, while talking with the BMW Sales Advisor, I yelled out Karen…Karen Herbert, I know you!!! You sold me my first new car in 1995 and I still have your 1995 business card!!! I purchased my 50th birthday present, a beautiful BMW X5 and had the best experience reuniting with Karen, as she was just as patient, responsive, and knowledgeable, as I remembered 28 years ago. It was such a relaxing and pleasant experience from the initial phone call, to driving off the lot. I definitely recommend BMW of Silver Spring and reaching out to Karen Herbert, as your Sales Advisor. She has earned my loyalty, as a repeat customer and I genuinely appreciate her enthusiasm for my first new luxury purchase, as she was for my first out of college car.

I had an interest in trading my leased BMW vehicle prior to the end of the lease term in order to get a 2024 X5. I had in mind the specs of the X5 I was looking for, but I didn't expect to find the vehicle, comfortably trade my leased BMW, and get a payment that I would be comfortable with until I spoke with, Scott Sohn (BMW of Silver Spring). On 12/4/23, I met with Scott at the dealership. Although I was very skeptical that anything would work out with Scott his greeting and professionalism made me feel comfortable enough to sit down and discuss my interest. Scott had my BMW reviewed/appraised, and then we talked about the details of the X5. Minutes later Scott located an X5 and needed to try and secure it. The X5 was revealed to be on hold by a customer already, but Scott quickly found another one that met my specs and it was completing production. At this point things started to come together. Scott began to give me a real picture of how we could do a deal that financially worked for me. I did my own homework prior to meeting Scott, so it was very refreshing to meet a straightforward salesman who made me feel comfortable when he explained the details of trading my BMW and leasing the X5. As I waited to receive the X5 at the dealership, Scott kept me updated on the movement of the X5 and most important he made sure I received all the discounts and incentives available to me. I received my X5 on 12/19 and was very pleased! Scott connected me with a BMW Genius to go over the features of the X5. I can't express how pleased I am with my purchase experience with Scott! He represents what it means to be a BMW professional salesman! My wife and I will look forward to purchasing with Scott in the future. Mile One / BMW of Silver Spring should be very glad to have Scott as part of the team!

I live in Illinois and have been looking for a certain trim model for months all over the country. I found it at Silver Spring and worked with Ron on all the details. He gave me no BS transparent pricing and condition of car. Car was listed on Sunday night and under contract few days later. Flew out Saturday morning and Drove it back 700+ Miles back home without a problem.

I recently bought my first BMW at BMW of Silver Spring. I have owned Audis and Volvos, but their reliability shortcomings led me to BMW. Not knowing what to expect and stressing over my tight budget, I was particular grateful to fall under the care of their top notch sales person, Harold Shelby! Harold emphasized that he was a straight shooter and cared for his customer's sensibilities; and I found that Harold was indeed a man of his word: I bought a very low mileage certified BMW, but Harold took great care over my experience as though he was selling me one of the dealership's more expensive models. He is an old school gentlemen! Made one feel as though they were getting cared for by a 19th century butler (smile). I will certainly be recommending BMW of Silver Spring to all my friends, but I will particularly recommend that they pursue the service of Harold!

I’ve bought many cars from Silver Spring BMW. I have always had a great experience with my sales guys. However, Mr. Harold Shelby was definitely ONE of a kind. He is very professional and very knowledgeable about the cars. He is very friendly and doesn’t treat you like a client. He treats you like a friend. We bought the XI and he made sure I knew everything I needed to know about the car. If I had any questions he answered them. He came on the road with me and showed me all the bells and whistles my car had to offer. I had more questions after I took the car home and he had no problem when I called him for anything. Ron Askew changed my life in one day. I knew exactly what kind of truck I wanted and he fought hard for me to get approved to get my dream car. When I say he put up a fight for me because I didn't have the best credit in the world. He was not going to let "not approve" be an answer. After he gave me the best news that I was approve for my BMW M50i. He made sure all my concerns and questions were answered. He went above and beyond to make sure my car was taking care of before I pull off. He was well invested into this as much as I was. I was in the market for an electric vehicle and I had three makes in mind. The other two dealerships were okay; the service was high pressure and they left little time assess what they had to offer. When I went to the BMW dealership in Silver Spring, I met Mr. Harold Shelby during the renovations of the main showroom. Since this was both my first time buying an EV and a BMW, Mr. Shelby provided me with some materials about the model and advised me to read it over and decide what I wanted. After a week, I returned to the dealership and submitted a deposit for my production number. Once the vehicle arrived, we arranged a time to meet at the dealership where he unveiled the car; it was quite an experience. After the test drive, he and Matt Dolesh went step-by-step through the vehicle setup and the service package. The car is more than impressive and what you would expect from BMW; however, the service provided by Harold Shelby is the kind that can make a difference when it comes to closing the sale.
