Working with Kelvin Burston nickname "Country Calvin" at Pasadena Dealer exceeded any of my expectations. Me and my husband were looking in different dealers but a familiar gave us Kevin's information and we decided to visit him. I was not familiar with Vokswagen cars and Right away Kelvin was incredibly friendly and took time to sit down with me and my husband and to determine what would be a good deal for us. Kelvin was with us for hours. He was very helpful and I truly believe his expertise helped tremendously in our car loan approval. I highly recommend Kelvin !

I submitted a review giving much deserved credit to Alex, Sam, Chris and another who’s name slips my mind for their outstanding dedication to selling me a car and getting me on the road when I had little faith. That’s the good news. The bad news is with all those players involved, and after nearly 6 hours at the dealership, not once was I told by anyone that the 2015 SUV I was buying had no AC!!! It wasn’t until extensive research after I got home that I realized the cold to hot knob is just the fan, and a vehicle made in 2015 does not come with AC!!!! I put a good deal of the blame on myself for not recognizing it, but in all fairness, who would’ve guessed a modern SUV doesn’t have AC???? It didn’t even cross my mind, and I wonder how many people would have checked such a thing, especially after seeing the air knobs on the test drive. I was very clear that my intentions were to buy a family vehicle which THEY recommended that vehicle to me, as I had my eye on another from the start. So now I Do in fact have a car, but one not exactly family friendly, with a 6 and 9 year old that makes me wonder if it’s suitable for them to take on summer trips. My husband and I are thinking about downsizing from our Ford Expedition. We visited the Ford dealership and did not find what we were looking for in a vehicle and the customer service was limited. We decided to try a new product and visit the Antwerpen Volkswagen dealership. When we walked in the door we were immediately greeted by a young man (I believe his name was Devin). Devin asked what type of vehicle we were looking for and directed us to the Atlas and Touareg SUVs. We had never considered Volkswagen before so my husband had 100+ questions. Thank you Devin for patiently answering each one of our questions and with a great, positive attitude. Today, this is a refreshing trait! Watch out for hidden fees. This dealership dose not honor their advertised price on a used car. So I took my business to the dealer in Laurel and purchased not only a used but also a new Atlas.

Used car prices shown online are dishonest. The $300 doc fee is disclosed online, no problems with that. But extra costs are added for: $995 reconditioning fee; State inspection; Oil change. These costs are NOT disclosed. This is a clear case of intentional "bait and switch" and not just the one car I looked at. The sales manager actually admitted that this is "how they advertise" and these fees are added to ALL used cars.

Tried to purchase a vehicle and the manager insisted on including erroneous fees such as Maryland State inspection fee of $900, state inspection only costs $90. Also adding on a reconditioning fee, $750. According to other dealerships and the MVA both fees are a hidden profit for the dealership. Very unethical business practices.

Went to look at a 2013 Sonata Limited that looks good on the site and has a fair price listed. The car looked pretty good in person except for some paint damage on the rear end/trunk. I asked the dealer during the test drive why it's been available so long (over 3 months on Edmunds and another site) and the reply was "That's not really very long for this area. People around here can't really afford nice cars." With the damage to the paint, the price wasn't quite as fair but still planned to negotiate because otherwise the car was in pretty good shape. Then I got the ACTUAL price. Over $800 tacked on for inspection fee that was "required by Maryland law" (yes, the inspection is required, but it's not required to tack it on to the fair purchase price) and another $1000 for a reconditioning fee. At this point, the price was well over the full retail for a certified used Sonata that's in like new condition. This was not in like new condition and in fact is a "fleet vehicle" which would normally lower the value on top of the visual damages. At that point there was no way to negotiate a deal that makes any sense. I expressed concern about the reconditioning fee to which the reply was "I know, but all the dealers do it." Well, two days later I bought a 1 year newer car with 13k less miles and the only fee that dealer added to the Edmunds price was a $300 processing fee (making it about $1500 less, out the door), so I guess not all dealers do it. I guess it's not still available because people in this area can't afford it, but because they haven't found anybody stupid enough to fall for their game yet. Don't be that stupid customer. There's a lot of dealers that know they can make a profit without shady fees. Pretty sad that a large, reputable new car sales company would play the kind of games you'd only expect from shady, small used car lots.

So I started the day driving a Mazda 6. I visited Toyota, KIA, Hyundai, and Ford in Glen Burnie. I walked the lots came into the showrooms and no one even said hello. I had given up. My daughter told me to try VW. Chris from Antwerpen met us with keys before we finished walking the lot. They had great inventory. I drove a white 2013 Jetta (gas) with a sunroof. It was an excellent ride. Handling, power and overall driving experience were excellent. I asked him the sticker it was 21600.00. That was 10,000.00 less than the Mazda and 5,000.00 less than the Camry. So I am driving around in my new 2013 VW Jetta thanks to Chris from Antwerpen. I wish I had started at Antwerpen because they were the only professional dealership I encounter.

Anterpen was very easy and good to deal with. Took an extended test drive with Brian, no pressure at all. Talked numbers and left to do more research, again without undue pressure. After some study and comparisions, they matched anothers internet offer, so I went wth them. Paperwork was easy, they do offer various maint plans at closing, which mush be a VW product. The finance manager took his time and let me thoughtfully consider them. Overall a good experience and I'm happy with the deal and car.

I purchased a 2012 Volkswagen Touareg TDI Executive from Antwerpen Volkswagen through their internet sales program. I received great service from all of their sales and finance staff, especially Nathan T who searched around to find the exact exterior/interior color combo that I was looking for at the lowest price. All of the details were handled in advance online so things went very quickly once I showed up to pick up the vehicle. I highly recommend Antwerpen Volkswagen!

I ended up buying my 2007 Dodge Dakota truck from Antwerpen. My salesman, Bryan, was very sweet and polite. They were the only ones in the area that had the vehicle I was looking for. I was a long way from home, and my trade-in sprung a leak in their lot, so I couldn't just walk away. They were unwilling to budge on any discounts. The $900 dealer/transportation charge was excessive and a really nasty shock!!! Then they insisted that I take their financing, or no deal. Even though I was preapproved at my own credit union and the interest rate was the same, my credit union is far more convenient and I resisted. But they told me I couldn't get it at 'that price' unless I took their finance. No one mentioned the $900 until I started signing papers and asked what it was for. I will definitely refinance at the earliest possible opportunity and who knows? maybe the rates will go down in a couple of months. But I don't like being pushed around.

12/9/2011 Go elsewhere to purchase your new or used V.W. I had a terrible time there , from the delivery , to having to obtain the information for the Service manager to turn off the horn when arming the alarm, He told me he didn't think it could be done, I as the consumer went on line and saw it could be, So just to be sure , I called Russell V.W. to confirm what I had found was a fact, they told me it was and if the Service manager couldn't figure it out , to have him call Volkswagen technical support . So I did exactly that , went back down to the dealer and gave him the papers that Ihad found on the internet along with the note " to call V.W. technical support to get the code to undo the horn when arming the alarm , about 25 minutes later they did complete it. Now I am currently having a problem with them over a paint problem on my rear bumper , they are needing to get a " REP " from V.W. to figure out what is wrong with the paint on one section of my rear bumper . I have emails from the General Manager that are sarcastic and very unprofessional ... If I purchase another V.W. it will DEFINITELY be from another V.W. dealership .... Best of Luck to anyone wanting to take 800 mg. of ibuprofen hourly while dealing with those people at that dealership

The price of the Used, Certified car that I contacted them about was of course higher than what was posted online. I had a trade-in and wasted 5 hours of my time haggling with the salesman. I heard him mutter under his breath at one point, "I don't believe this!", which was unbelievably rude. He did not spend time showing me the vehicle. He acted as if he wanted me to just be done with the sale and get out. I drove a car out of their lot which Antwerpen had not cleaned inside; the handles and gadgets were very dirty and I was finding long hairs in the car (I do not have long hair). I left my sales experience with a bad taste in my mouth, and I was sold a car that was not fully explained to me and if it had been, I would never have bought. I disliked the car so much that I traded it in for another make and model that I am elated with. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE.
