Edmunds Price Promise is a joke at Don White's
Written by eizumchenko on 06/02/2016
While looking for a new Jeep Cherokee I have used an Edmunds Price Promise tool. I ound a right car for a very attractive price, printed the certificate and headed to the dealership. when I showed then them the printouts, the dealers were literally holding their laughter. They said it is just a promo aimed at bringing people to the dealership and nothing more then that. Basically, these Price Promise certificates are not worth the paper they are printed on. Edmunds should either discontinue the Price Promise program or enforce it. Very misleading and disappointing. Eugene.

I appreciate the response, but in my opinion, the Price Promise prices are not real unless they are honored by the dealership. Let me ask you this, how exactly the Price Promise is different from the ePrice posted of your webpage? If there are no differences, this program should not be called "Price Promise". If this program is indeed different from the ePrice (which is simply bait and switch tactics), than I would like to learn more about the differences. The bottom line, Price Promise prices are not honored, unless you qualify for ALL possible incentives (which most of the customers won't). Meaning that the Price Promise program, which is actually partnerships between Edmunds and the dealer, is absolutely useless for the customer.

Dealer Response
Hello Evgeny, Let me begin by apologizing for the confusion with the Edmunds Price Promise. We did not mean to misguide you, and the price given is very real, but there are some qualifications that you must meet. I am sorry that we could not come to an agreement. Thank you, Michael Campagna – Director of Sales (410) 666-9600
