Great service no pressure

Had a great experience with Charlie's of Winthrop that's why I keep coming back. This is my 4th vehicle from the Charlie's family, the second on from Charlie's in Winthrop. I keep going back because the friendly, knowledgeable, and they don't pressure you. They are a bunch of down to earth friendly guys. Peter G is a great salesman I personally recommend him, but all the guys over there are great down to earth people. I will continue to buy my vehicles there!

If your buying a used car, make sure its inspected right!

I bought a 2007 impala in Aug. with 100k a new sticker,90 day warrantee, or 3000 k, nothing but a lemon, Make sure you take it your own garage to have them look at it, Charlie's will jerk you around around Until your warrantee runs out claiming they cant find the problem, They will fix a little, but major stuff they hesitate, as In my case, a rear main seal and major leaks 6 times to fix problems, no help with tolls, gas, or time lost. I had to rent a car to get to Augusta, no reimbursement, to get a car from them, Blew the motor after less than 2 months I paid for towing to Augusta! Thank god for AAA Charlie's put a used motor in it God knows what the mileage is, they told me 4 different mileages, So had it checked with a Chevy dealer close to my home, this new used motor! almost 1700.00 worth of leaks! Charlie's paid for it, but, his right hand man told me they were not putting any more money into this car, No more, even though Ive still got warrantee left, Now this went to the att, generals office, and Charlie's was not willing to give a better warrantee, on the motor or tranny, I may add they did offer to buy back the car for 1200.less because of mileage really! 642 miles was going to warrantee work! plus a used motor! do I look stupid!!!! People!!! be very careful when buying a used car from Charlies,there moto is sel!l sell! sell! NOT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION! TAKE IT TO YOUR GARAGE TO HAVE THE THEM CKECK IT 1ST!!! Best of luck shopping , please not at charlies used cars.

Second To None Service Satisfaction

The Service Department Staff @ Bob Barrow's Chevrolet is Second To None! These guys are First Rate @ all aspects of their jobs. The Mechanics are Top Notch and the Service Managers that Tom employs (or has employed) have been nothing short of Spectacular Individuals. I cannot give these guys enough praise. I hope not to need their services but look forward to the visit if it is needed, I know that I will be treated fairly and that I can trust that the service or repair was done right. Thank you for all that you have done for us!

No Pressure Sales Staff

My Wife and I (along with 2 of my 3 Children) have purchased vehicles from Bob Barrow's Chevrolet. I have lost count @ how many purchases but I have always been extremely satisfied with the Sales Staff that Tom employs. These are the kind of guys that you could share a Deer Stand or Duck Blind with. The Staff makes you feel like Family when you walk through the front door. I am a dissatisfied customer of a Larger In-Town Dealership in the Twin Cities Area. I Love the Hometown Feel of Bob Barrow's Chevrolet. Keep up the Good Work Guys! Thanks for being who you are!

Great service

The service department at Barrow's Chevrolet is first class. They have always treated me with the utmost respect, answering all my questions in timely manner. Fixing the problems and standing by it, not selling me something I don't need. Highly recommend

family atmosphere

Just recently purchased my third new truck from Barrows Chevrolet. No pressure sales are wonderful. Tom and crew really make you feel like you are part of there family. During delivery Kevin ( salesman) was outstanding in explaining all these new high tech accessories and overall vehicle. Barrows is my dealership.

Selling lemons

They refused to go down on the price one bit. The car broke down on the way home from purchase and they refused to fix it because it did not come with a warranty other than "inspection warranty" which they never explained the meaning of. After much complaint they agreed to fix it, however they only fixed the problem not the cause and it keeps happening, they are refusing to help in any way and the car has has spent more time in the shop then out and has cost over $600 so far is still not fixed and now is not driveable and we have only had it less than 60 days!

horrible service

After much complaining they fixed the piece that was not working however they did not fix the root of the problem and the same issue keeps happening. They refuse to fix it again. Took it to another dealership who advised this problem was hard to not miss the cause and that it had been happening since it was purchased (used - 1 month prior) and that they had to have known and concealed it either that or the person that worked on it had no idea what he was doing and did not do his job.

They have gone out of their to provide service to my car. They don't try to sell you what you don't need for your car and do their best to accomodate me at certain times when I needed them. I highly reccomend them. Sincerely, Lloyd C. Kenfield

EASY, EASY AND NO PRESSURE

My wife and I have purchased our last two vehicles from Bob Barrows Chevrolet...one new and one used. After shopping at the larger city dealerships and being overrun by agressive sales reps we decided to look right in our own back yard. I can't express how refreshing it was to take our time in picking out the right vehicles. Tom and Eric told me they have access to thousands of General Motors program cars and trucks across the country and that they could find me exactly what I was looking for. The truck they found for me was absolutely perfect. I really liked the feeling that they were a local family working hard to make our wishes come true. They did. I have no doubt that we'll be returning to Barrows when it's time to trade.
