Scored RX 450h for $44,527 by donahuj on Sun Oct 03 21:20:02 PDT 2010

I was able to pick up a '10 RX 450h for $44,527. List price was $51,957 and invoice was $47,262. This seems to be the optimal time to buy if you want to pick your color combo, etc- there are about 90 '10 450h's left in California at this point (apparently normal inventory is around 300 for CA), since the '11's have started to come into the dealerships. I found that different Northern California dealerships were willing to do different prices. Almost everyone was able to do $1,500 under invoice. Most dealerships were willing to do $2,000 under invoice, or $45,262 at this point. One dealership was willing to do $2,500 below invoice (Stevens Creek Lexus). The fleet / Internet manager, Joe, was a great guy and spent a lot of time with me. I would recommend working with Stevens Creek Lexus if you're in the Bay Area- they are the 3rd largest Lexus dealer in CA and Joe was very professional / helpful / friendly. The price he was willing to sell to me was $2,500 below invoice but the car had some add-on's such as paint chip sealant and a cargo net so the price was about $500 higher than the base model. I didn't end up buying from him because they didn't have the color combo I was looking for at this point. He will dealer trade to find the right car but the color combo I was looking for- sapphire black with black interior- was not available in Northern Cal for trade. Ultimately I called around and found the car both at Sacramento Lexus and Concord Lexus. Sacramento Lexus was only willing to do $1,500 below invoice so I passed on that. Concord actually offered me the best price at about $2,700 below invoice, and they have the color combo we wanted. The General Manager is Ben Gullo and he was extremely friendly / professional. Our salesman was Chris and he was also exceptionally good- they got us in and out quickly and Chris was enthusiastic and very knowledgeable- a great experience overall. If you want a '10, I recommend you go now unless you're not at all particular about the configuration of the vehicle you end up with- I was told by several dealers that they expect the inventory to be largely depleted by the end of Oct. Oh, by the way, Joe at Stevens Creek mentioned that they will offer $2,500 over invoice on the '11's now- I guess that would be somewhere in the $48,900 range. Good luck to you all.

Lease in Sacramento, CA by hferro2 on Sat Sep 12 16:58:43 PDT 2009

Hello, First of all, this is a great forum! I am new to leasing, and interested in a 250 IS fully loaded... what would be considered a good lease offer in California? I have not gotten any offers yet, but I would like to get a ball park figure before I start the "song and dance" with the dealership. Any help is appreciated!

Reno,NV - RX 350 by Feephee on Sun Jun 28 22:26:19 PDT 2009

I am looking for a 2010 RX 350 with NAV, comfort package and park assist. I live in Reno, NV. Any ideas how much I should pay. I contacted the dealer in Reno and they are basically not willing to come off the MSRP. I can drive to Lincoln Hills in California or any other dealer near Sacramento, CA. Is it true that Lexus won't sell across state lines, as other posters on this forum have said? I have been told that the RX's are selling like "hot cakes". Is this true?

Lease Deal for 2009 RX350 by steinboy on Wed Nov 19 22:06:14 PST 2008

Hi all, I'm in No Cal and I've been reading these messages for the last few weeks while shopping for the best lease offer. Thanks to everyone who contributes, it has been VERY helpful to me. I actually used numbers from a member to get the dealer where I wanted. Here's where I ended up: MSRP $47,100 Pebble Beach AWD Nav, Heated, Tow(basically most of the main add-ons except Mark Lev stereo) 15k/year 36 mos money factor .00095 52% Residual These are the payment options I negotiated: 1)$800 down, nav package, AWD, non- Pebble Beach model (about $45k MSRP),$499/mo 2)843 down, nav package, AWD, Pebble Beach, $520/mo 3)$0 down, nav package, AWD, Pebble Beach, $545/mo I went for the last one, as my wife liked the Pebble Beach color & wheels and I didn't want to put anything down. I must have contacted 6 or 7 dealers in the state of CA before finding a person who was friendly and helpful without being too "sales-y". Truthfully, the purchase paperwork was probably the least painful out of any I've experienced. Entire process took about an hour and because I negotiated the deal over the phone, there was no dealer BS once I got there. Person's name is Ernie at Sacramento Lexus, if anyone is in the area and looking for a great deal on an RX. He even threw in a Lexus travel mug for the car- hey, it's the little things! Couple of last thoughts: I looked at the ML, Highlander, FX, and Pilot. Most of them had things I really liked and some I couldn't live with. The HL was actually my fave pick- better room, newer design, more space in the cargo area, same engine, etc. But the lowest lease price I could get was around $650/mo! Crazy that you can lease a car that's $10k+ more for less $. The RX seemed to have the best overall balance for us, taking into account the price. I do wish I could have waited for the new 2010 model, but that's why the price is so low on the 09's. Mark Lev stereo- I love good music. By far, our FX with the Bose had the best system I've heard. So I was excited to check this stereo out. I listened to the base model and the Mark Lev, and could not tell a whole lot of difference. Not enough to justify the $2k increase in price. Save the money and upgrade your home system ; ) The base model is actually pretty nice. Cheers! Steinboy
