Another Pleasant Experience

I have been buying vehicles from Cross for years and they have always been easy to deal with and completely honest and upfront. My most recent experience was no exception. I would highly recommend them.

HORRIBLE Customer Service & Shady Sales Tactics!!!

This was my first time buying a car from a dealership and by far it was the worse experience. Like another reviewer stated, the actual Salesman we worked with (forgot his name) was very helpful and friendly. Too bad all that went down hill when it came time to talk numbers. In short, both financial persons (their exact titles and names escapes me; perhaps one being "Todd") were an [violative content deleted] and that's saying it nicely. They tried everything in their power to close the deal THAT NIGHT. From saying that another couple was interested and just waiting on us to say yes or no, to promising the lowest interest rate on the market, to throwing in a Gold card for services at the dealership. And let's not forget wanting us to put down a $500 deposit to hold the car since we wanted to sleep on the decision. It was a freaking nightmare ... too bad that is just the beginning. My husband and I went back the following evening to purchase the car b/c sure enough it was still available (wonder what happened to that other couple) and were promised it wouldn't take more than an hour to close the deal. How about 3 hours later we were still there declining their stupid warranty packages and reiterating that our bank could offer a lower interest rate than what they were selling. Amateur mistake, but we purchased the car from them anyhow and later discovered that the stains they were supposed to remove could not be removed by them (the car actually looked worse once the spots dried) and the scratches were temporarily filled (i.e. a few car washes later, they are just as visible as before we bought it). Needless to say, it was a huge learning lesson and I will not EVER be returning nor will I ever refer anyone to them.

DO NOT GO TO CROSS CHRYSLER JEEP!!!!!

I was warned by SEVERAL people not to purchase a car from this dealership, but I didn't listen. The one person that warned me said they would not honor the extended warranty they had purchased and had to pay 5000.00 to get a new engine on a car. I personally went and purchased a car from them. After I got it home, I realized it was way too small for what I needed....partly my fault. What happened next is a completel lack of integrity and magnifies all that we hear and feel about car dealers. I called the sales manager, Chris and asked him if I could bring the car back and purchase another one instead (keep in mind, this was less that 24hours after I bought my vehicle). He said, without hesitation, "yes, no problem." "we will hold on to your paperwork and you can just write me a check for the difference." The very next morning, I called him and said I would be coming in and he asked me when, I told him and showed up at that exact time. My salesman said to another salesman, "she is here, you have had ample time to get a deposit on the car, she is buying it." Evidentally there was another buyer interested. Keep in mind, Chris promised to "hold" the car until I got there. We got my paperwork out and as I was getting ready to sign, someone came out and said "there has been a deposit made, she cannot buy the vehicle." So, while entered the dealership, the vehicle was NOT sold, but while I was sitting there, it was sold!!!!! When I was promised the car. there has to be something said about a person's "word" and "integrity" right? They had every right to not take back my purchase, but they had no problem with it and promised (that morning) that I could have it if I were there by a certain time. I was there and they sold it while I was getting ready to sign papers. Now I am stuck with a car I don't like and all they will say is "sorry." They didn't offer to sell me another car, buy mine back, nothing! I will never GO BACK TO THIS PLACE and I will tell everyone I know to not use them. The sales manager is dishonest and has ZERO integrity!!!! Kharma will come back to get you Chris....thats all I can say.

The Best!

Unable to find a 2008 Diesel Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland in any local New Jersey dealers' inventories I searched Nationally. Cross had the exact vehicle i was seeking. We discussed the deal on the phone and they confirmed by e-mail, even the trade range was discussed. I drove the trade to Louisville where I was greeted by the salesman and manager who showed the fully serviced and prepared new vehicle which was exactly as described. They completed the trade at the high end of the quoted range, handled the financing, filled the tank and away I went. Great transaction, super price professionally and efficiently handled. I hope they survive the current Chrysler woes.
