I was figuring it would be worked on in the time frame that was given, but instead put down as drop off and worked on at end of day. Was planning on waiting, so they did provide a lyft to run me home.

Only issue I had was waiting 4 1/2 hours to get the 15,000 Mile package done along with not completing my original issue which was the switch knob suddenly not working and the techs were not able to fix the issue and I have to come back drop my car off with no replacement car Kia cannot provide. Diamond-she is great with customer service. Just not happy with not being able to fix the knob when this Kia is under warranty and not able to provide a service car to get this fixed. I don’t have time to drop off my car and wait around and on other people to pick me up.

Service is good, once you get it

It's super hard to get these folks on the phone, which can become a pain especially after you've set your first appointment. Whether it's a recall, or maintenance & repairs, I have been here at least 7 times in the last 12 months and the issue has NEVER been resolved the first time I bring it in... instead, I inevitably have to return 1-3 more time to get everything sorted out correctly. That said, the service coordinators like Bryan Morales do their best to keep you informed and keep things on schedule as best they can - hats off to him for that! Frankly, that effort is what keeps me coming back. Wish they would extend the range for their complimentary ride service - my home & office is in Johnson county but out of their range which makes the process of working with the dealership even harder.

Had to go back 5 times to get side mirror fixed

I visited SM Kia 5 times in the span of 3 months to get my side mirror fixed. 1st visit - to report problem and get part ordered. Didn’t get fixed but that is understandable since part needed to be ordered. Service person scheduled me for a few weeks later. 2nd visit - showed up since it was pre-scheduled but was told that part had not arrived. Not fixed. 3rd visit - showed up for a pre-scheduled appt. Service person confirmed part was in. However almost an hour of waiting, was told that they didn’t have the proper paint color. So mirror still didn’t get fixed. 4th visit - I called to see if I can come in and schedule to get it fixed. New service person because previous service person who was my main contact left. New person said that I can come in and we got an appt scheduled. When I came in, the new service person checked with Parts team and they couldn’t find the part. Side mirror still not fixed. Service person did say that he will call the next day once he knows if part is still in or not. 5th visit - part in correct paint color available. It got fixed in less than an hour. The service manager did honor my original coupon from December 2023 and took off $100 off of a $600 bill. I appreciate the new service person for taking on my case but felt like there were multiple issues with this and 2-3 visits out of the 5 were a waste and could have been avoided.

Terrible shop at this dealership

Went in for a recall and diagnostic on my trunk release button. Was told it would be $85 and would be done in 3 hours. Dropped it off at my 9 am appt time. Went back at 1p. Was told it was not done and they needed another hour. So we waited in lobby. Had to go back multiple times to check. Got fed up and went back to ask what the hell was going on. Never had such lazy service before. Also was told that the shop supply fee was to use their garage. That is bad business considering the diagnostic used no consumable shop products. Will not be back ever. Your shop counter person named Benjamin was not very help.and argumentative about everything

Horrible Experience

I absolutely will never buy a Kia again. My car started making noises last week, and was under warranty with CarMax, where I bought it, so I brought it in. They reported that it had almost no oil in it, despite my getting an oil change 1800 miles ago. They told me this was a known issue with Kia putting faulty engines in cars that consumed oil excessively, and to take it to Kia to see if they would fix it. I made a 7:15 am appointment on a Monday to get my car in at Kia, and they told me I could drop it off Sunday. Sunday when I went to drop it off, all entrances to the dealer were blocked, and I had to park on a street, find a random employee who happened to be on site on a Sunday, and get them to open a gate so I could drive in and drop my car off. On Monday, I tried to get updates on my car starting around 10 am. I spent more than 90 minutes total throughout the day on hold trying to get a service advisor to answer the phone. The advisor I was assigned, Yasmin, literally never returned my calls or did anything to help me. The only saving grace of the experience was Bryan. He called me and kept me in the loop when my car was being looked at. I don’t know why this wasn’t until 2 or so in the afternoon when my appointment was at 7:15, but at least he was communicative and friendly. He discovered that my car was no longer under Kia’s warranty, and asked me how I wanted to proceed. I am honestly shocked that Kia knows that these cars excessively consume oil and it means the engine could fail and therefore could put drivers in danger, but they refuse to fix this issue. Basically I was told that the only way Kia would fix my car is if some OTHER defect affected my engine and my rod bearings failed, causing my car to potentially lose the ability to accelerate while I’m trying to drive.
