Amazing Service

by Jackie0417 on 12/02/2014

Fred Hug was my sales person at Edwards and he did an awesome job! He was patient, made sure I was getting the best deal possible, and listened to all my needs. Car buying is such a stressful thing and he made everything so easy. If anyone is in need of a new vehicle, I highly recommend Edwards and Fred!!!

miss lead and stupid financial personal

by jollymango on 10/08/2014

Talked to Fred H I told exactly what I wanted he told me he could get what I wanted. He also said Edwards was the largest Mitsubishi deal so it wouldn't be a problem getting what I wanted. I told him what I could afford for monthly payments he said not a problem. He blue up my phone about when we could come down an do the deal. So we setup a day an time. We drove to Council Bluffs from South Sioux City was there for 3 hours an having a 4 1/2 year old with you was frustrating enough I realized on our way home the one thing I want wanted in this vehicle was not there an then I asked to have the tax an plates added into my loan. I waited for the check to come it but when I went to the courthouse to pay it I was told that it wasn't enough. I called Edwards I was told the tax was figured at less than what the tax is. Nebraska countries have different tax base's instead one for the whole state. No one asked me about it nor did they explain it to me. I call to let them know what happened I asked them to make it right me they said they weren't gonna make it right with me. Therefore I'm not gonna do my business with them nor am I gonna recommend them to anyone.

Gave us a great deal - upheld internet price

by DualExhaust on 11/16/2013

I did my homework and brought in an internet price on a vehicle I was interested in. Randy showed us the vehicle along with several others and honored the internet price. The vehicle was as promised. Excellent customer service.

Bait and Switch is alive and well at Edwards Mitsubishi

by trails1 on 07/10/2013

Just returned from a 300+ mile round trip to Edwards Mitsubishi in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Yesterday after a few phone calls and texts we agreed to purchase a vehicle from them for the price they advertised on the internet. Not, mind you a negotiated price, this was their asking price. We felt it was fair. When speaking with salesman Drew, I asked him directly if this vehicle (a new, 2012 Galant) had any hail or other damage on it as it is a 2012 model that is left over, so, over a year old, but advertised as new and having 34 miles on it. He said, "let me go check" put the phone down, came back in a few minutes; said he "put his hands on it and it had no damage." He accepted a $500 deposit on my mastercard and we agreed to drive there the following day. Which we did, leaving Kansas City this morning at 7 am. We arrived over 2.5 hours later and upon arriving at the lot, Robert, the sales manager, was standing in the lot walked up to us and cracked a joke about we've been talking on the phone, ha ha, handshake. Not sure, who he was I said I have been talking to Drew. Robert then introduced his salesperson, Drew. Little did we realize at the time that the obfuscation was just begining. The car we had discussed was sitting in the lot. I walked up to it and immediately saw that the left side of the rear bumper was damaged and had been painted over. I pointed this out to Drew and he said, "I just noticed that last night and have already talked to my sales manager, (the aforementioned) Robert and he has agreed to sell you one of our other similarly equipped Galants for the agreed upon price." At this point I am very skeptical ( may have been born at night, but not last night.) So, I said, let's look at them. We looked at one, another 2012 Galant and it had 269 miles on it, so not really the same. And the next one seemed ok, but it was dirty, so I asked that it be washed as I know from previous experience, hail dents may not show up on a dirty vehicle. I decided to drive it before the cleaning to make sure I liked it. So, we did that and Drew sent it of to be washed. Now we are sitting in the dealers office... Drew brings a piece of paper to me and handwrites that I agree to buy today if we can agree on a price. I said, "you already told me the mgr. said he would accept the same price as the damaged car." He said; " I'll take care of you. I will make sure he does that." He went over to Robert and they appeared to be discussing something. Twice he came back to his desk where we were sitting and picked up a paper or wrote out on yet another paper, this time the paper said we would buy the car absolutely. I wrote on it that upon inspection of clean vehicle. He then brought back a paper with crossed out figures and numbers written every which way on it and it had a figure $3,500 higher than the agreed upon price. Of course, I said "no way." He went back to Robert again...getting the picture? This is over about a 45 minute time frame. And mind you we had an appointment and I texted Drew at 7:30 that morning that we were on our way. He texted back to me that "our" car was ready for us. At no time did he state that the vehicle was damaged. But, I digress.... Robert comes over to us and says that he is sorry,"he won't say we were lied to, but that an error was made. The damaged vehicle was as damaged yesterday as it is today." Huh? that's his defense? Of course they knew it was damaged but, we the consumers did not and they did not disclose the damage to us. I told him that his salesperson told me it was not damaged, but he just went into some salesman speak that made no sense to any logical thinking person. I told him what they are doing is called "bait and switch" and that I have every intention of contacting the Attorney General's office in the State of Iowa. And that I cannot believe in this day and age they are treating a customer this way. I said to Robert that as all of the vehicles are equipped the same presumably the dealership has the same amount of money in each one, why would they risk losing a customer and subsequent bad feelings. He said: "I get to decide which vehicles have which prices. " Sidenote, I owned a 2009 Galant and it was totaled two weeks ago, which is why I am in the market for another vehicle. That was our second mitsubishi and we were happy with it. So, we have been loyal mitsubishi customers for years. Drew was aware of this and the fact that I have some injuries from the accident, so traveling was not without challenges. He gave me a big speech on the phone yesterday about what a "family business they have there." And how they "take good care of their customers." Well, if this is being taken care of...count me out. If this review would allow less than 1 star, believe me it would be in the minus catagory. I have the texts in my phone from Drew and my copy of the mastercard charge on my account to verify this.
