"Pound sand customer"

by Helping others avoid a mistake on 06/29/2022

I bought a used Ram pickup from Warsaw Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Warsaw, Indiana, through their on-line internet sales service. I had them install a spray-in bed liner before I visited the dealership to get the truck. Within a year the liner bubbled and blistered. By year two the whole liner peeled off. It was obvious the truck bed had never been sanded or prepped in any way for liner adhesion. Dan, the sales manager at the dealership, told me the outfit that sprayed the liner wouldn't do anything about it, and he told me the dealership wasn't willing to do anything either. From my perspective, it was the dealership that I paid to do the liner; whoever they subcontracted to do the actual work is between them. The dealership owes me for what I paid to have this faulty work done, as I see it, and they told me to pound sand. I'll now have to pay another bed liner business to do the job right. Customers beware, this is the dealership where you might spend a lot of money. Can you trust them? Will they have your back? Actions speak a lot louder than words.

Oil Change and Tire Rotation

by Melissa on 07/25/2018

Got off work early, so I stopped by the dealership last minute to get an oil change and tire rotation. Jacob squeezed me in. Thanks for getting me in so I didn’t have to schedule a time to come back.

Took in for routine service and it was completed quickly and they came and got me to show me the filters that they were recommending to be replaced and ask for my ok before just doing it.

Personable Experience

by aldi332 on 03/28/2018

Our experience buying a new 2018 GMC Terrain was great! The staff was friendly and helpful. I did not know what I wanted when I walked in and Robert made sure I did not get anything I didn't like and made sure I was only looking at my price range.

Vehicle Purchase

by JBDurango on 03/21/2018

We found the vehicle online and went to look at it. Test drove it and bought it. Other than waiting quite awhile to do the paperwork because they were busy that day. Everything went very well. We were able to take the vehicle with us that day. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.

I bought a used GMC truck

by Bevo_Brain on 03/12/2018

Mr. Combs was a great salesman. He knew what I wanted and what the dealership would provide. I would be happy to use Aaron as a sales person again. The dealership had their truck priced right and valued my trade appropriately. I was very happy to make a deal here.

Dishonest

by Soldier5437 on 06/06/2016

I purchased a vehicle from here and it jas been nothing but problems since I drobe it off the lot. AC went out (according to another dealer it was out before i bought it) fuel pump issues. Contacted the management to inquire about the inspection they did to check these issues but they didnt even offer to double check. Just said "you should have bought a warranty for that. Dont take their word for it. Look somewhere else. Ive spoken to others who jave had the same issue with this place. They dont tell the truth about anything.

trying to sell 2015 jeep with voided factory warrenty

by maniacmechanic on 10/21/2015

test drove 2015 wrangler unlimited with 8200 miles on it. i asked the salesman and sales manager about the warrenty becouse of what the carfax showed (JEEP WAS FROM CANADA). manager stated he would look into it, when sat down to go over deal we told them we already had financing threw a credit union they deal with, but they stated they still needed a credit app filed out for there records (sounded really fishy) and they wanted us to sign it. we repeatedly told them we already had financing and did not want them to run any credit check. on us. we asked repeatedly for them to give us the price on the jeep, and for some reason they didnt want to give us that info. after we finally forced the issue they gave us the price and then told us by the way the POWERTRAIN WARRENTY IS VOID. but you still get 3yr 36000 bumper to bumper and that should be good enough. i said i dont think so. they then wanted to try to get me a aftermarket warrenty for the jeep. sorry but no thanks. all this hassle took about two hours. this is not the way to sell jeeps. i wonder how many other unsuspecting customers have purchased jeeps with no warrenty. i wonder if there are any laws being broken here

Unethical business practices

by mdkrsn on 11/19/2014

I would not go hear again. They took our down payment and when we went back they told us what we owed and we paid in full. 2 months later we have not received a title and the check has not been cashed. When I called in they said I still owed them 1000.00. They said we had not paid a down payment even though they were holding our check. They said the price quoted to us was wrong we owed 500.00 more to them. Paperwork price had been changed while we were doing it and 500.00 was added on to the price after the fact. They were trying to charge us 500.00 for an environmental service they had never even completed. Not sure who is running this place but worst car buying experience I have ever had.

Disappointed and feeling of uncertainty for safety

by 1meancj7 on 05/23/2013

I bought a 2011 Lifted Wrangler Unlimited, which I absolutely love by the way. That’s why it stinks to have to write this review. I’m used to service after the sale and feel this is definitely not an emphasis at Warsaw Autoplex. They sell lifted Jeeps and the lifts are installed by a contracted person not actually done through the dealerships service dept. Apparently the same guy does the Glenbrook Jeeps as well. Well, about a week after I bought my Jeep I found out that a sister Jeep to mine that was sold a few days before I bought mine, was back at the dealer for repairs due to a rear wheel falling off. I thought, “Holy cow, I hope nobody was hurt!” I only found out about the incident because I saw the damaged Jeep on a return trip to drop off the owner’s manual to my trade in. When hearing about what happened, a staffer was surprised that nobody had contacted me to tell me to check my lug nuts. Well one of the first things I did was hand torque the lugs the day I bought my Jeep so no worries. But in the process I found out that each of the 4 wheels had a damaged/ stripped lug nut that had to be forcibly removed. I decided to let the dealer know not only to see if they would make right on the lug nuts by chance, but to let them know their installer is doing not so good work and that my find might have something to do with the other Jeep losing its wheel. Much to my dismay I contacted my salesman, who was more than apologetic, but I stressed that he pass along my dissatisfaction to management because I felt that I could have been killed or injured if my wheels had loosened up and felt that they didn’t care about me after the papers were signed. My salesman passed along the message and nobody called me back to make right. He was surprised by this. Fast fwd a few more weeks and I hear a banging in the rear of the Jeep. The oversize spare tire had loosened up and was barely being held on by two bolts because their lift installer damaged a bolt and subsequently cut it off leaving an over hundred pound wheel hanging by only 2 bolts which had loosened up. Again, this could have fallen off my Jeep on the highway and killed someone and I would now be liable. Now I am really really mad at this point! I spent that day repairing the spare tire mount myself with new grade 8 bolts. I again told my salesman, who was again very sympathetic but I told him that management now had to do something and to let me know. He passed along the message. I again never heard from anybody. I tried to be more than understanding and give them more than enough opportunity to follow up with me. The faulty tire thing can go against buyer beware, but when these dealerships are subcontracting shoddy workmanship, I have completely lost any safe or confident feeling about a process that I would have normally preferred to do myself. This is exactly why I will never again buy a lifted vehicle from a dealer who moves them on a regular basis, nor recommend anybody else buy one because the risk isn’t worth the reward. I was completely forgotten about once I left the dealer. They better hope something worse doesn’t happen because a serious lawsuit could come from a serious accident from a faulty lift installation. I originally felt compelled to have dialogue with them because I wanted to be helpful and insure nobody else bought faulty lifted Jeeps from them. But the subsequent ignoring of my repeated contact took this to a whole different level of disappointment. Buyers beware. Buyers be safe. Do not buy modified Jeeps from dealers. Especially this one.
