Battery Dies!!

I drive about 100 miles/month and this ins not enough to keep the battery charged because of all electronics running when the car is idle. The battery died 3x in six months and the dealer tells me everything is checking out OK and that basically I have to drive a lot or keep a (BMW) charger on at all times! Question is what to do if I go on a 2-3 week vacation. Take a very long extension cord to the airport? Contacted BMW and got a prepakaged email telling me they cannot help and that I must contact the dealer. Dealer got copies of all emails but did not reply.
