Another Customer for Life

I will start by saying how much I despise negotiating for ANYTHING, let alone going to a car dealership. I also don't care for salespeople running straight up to my car and talking to me before I even get out. I usually just drive right away... But I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out at Antioch Jeep. Dan did meet me by my car but only because he was interested in my truck (at least he made me believe he was because I was leery) and told him it wasn't for trade. He sat down and worked with us for hours as I attempted to negotiate and haggle as best I could. Our test drive was fun as well as instructive. Dan was very personable and knowledgeable of the vehicle we drove. The car was for my wife and was able to explain things to her in a way she could understand better than if I had tried. CON: Not a strong con because it is something we can decline even though I thought it is a good idea for the Protector add on package - but I didn't care for the presentation/sales gimmick. $3500 worth of stuff for only $1450? Wait, I can give a super deal today for only $750. Why not just tell me the $750 part right away. Again, not a deal breaker as I said, just a little something to show I'm not just another "Happy Customer." I want to mention Lee as well as Vlad if I remember his name correctly. Lee is in charge of the internet sales, if I understand correctly, and sat down and helped walk me through some of the various discounts that were available as well as how pricing can be tricky - dealers can put in more discounts than are actually available to you to make the price more attractive. But he took my offer and got the deal done for us on top of all the work Dan had already done to make it an acceptable deal. Lee is another easy-to-talk to person. I mention Vladamir but am not sure if that really was his name - and I apologize if I don't get it correct. By the time we had gotten to him to sign everything we were wiped out and the baby was not happy either. He made the process smooth and explained everything in a way both I and my wife could understand. We almost had to call off the whole deal when we saw the initial numbers, but he worked and found us a rate that was excellent and that worked in our budget immediately. We will definitely recommend them to people as far as our experience went. And I will add that we had gone to Carmax in the morning to return a similar vehicle that was used and had 15k miles which broke down luckily before the 5-day return policy. Antioch Jeep allowed for us to walk away with a brand-new Patriot even more loaded than the one we returned, 17 miles on it, with payments that were about $7 more a month than what we were going to pay at Carmax. Yea, we were happy - and tired.
