Just got a reply back about the freight. It is included in their price quote, not added to in addition to their quoted price. That sounds a little bit better. ;)

They do add a processing/doc fee. Here is a snippet from an exchange I am having with one of their salepersons. What will get added to the internet quotes are tax, tags, freight and our process fee which is $389.00. Which sort of brings the freight figure back into play it would seem. I'm waiting for the salesperson to clear this up. :confuse:
Buying out of your home state

I am looking for info from any PA owners that may have purchased a Sonata or other vehicle from an out of state dealership? If you live in PA and bought from a dealer in say NJ or VA, how did you handle the PA registration and sales taxes? Did your dealer collect it and process it for you or were you responsible for taking care of it on your own? We live in south-central PA and may be looking to purchase from a dealer near my sister in the DC area. I would prefer to have the dealer process everything but if I have to do it on my own, so be it. Thanks for the advice in advance.

Small world! I work at UPJ although I arrived long after you were gone. Yeah, Laurel Hyundai in Jtwn is a decent dealer but they are not that great for getting a good deal. Their service dept is very good, though. And considering the number of Hyundai dealers within an hour or two of Jtwn, you would think they would deal more. Tenpin288, I live in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. Send my your e-mail and I think I can give you some good advise. Unless you want exactly the model and trim that Fitzmall has on the internet, they do not have the best pricing. In fact, they were my example in my last post. I tried them and when I requested a quote on the exact vehicle I wanted - all of the sudden the price increased. There is a dealership much closer to you then in Maryland and they will work with of off tight margins. I also tried J-town with no success. P.S. I did my undergrad at Pitt at Johnstown, back in the late 80's! HAIL TO PITT!
